I am a new Juluka fan having heard “The Cow Bellowed” play as the credits rolled of a documentary I watched in March of this year, 2020. It took a few weeks to track down the duo and song, which led me next to this video. I’ve figured out the chords to Woza Friday this week and just found the lyrics with translation today, Father’s Day in America. I am a white man living in Minneapolis, Minnesota after the murder of George Floyd in the age of Covid. At this moment of history in particular in my city of birth, finding Sipho and Johnny, learning just some of their brotherhood, reverence, respect, and love for each other, humankind, and their music has been of great comfort and provides much hope.
