I used a router with a grinding stone chucked in it to remove an unacceptable amount of runout in the arbor of my powermatic 66 table saw. The arbor was not true, and the distortion was telegraphed and amplified by the blade. This caused a bad cut quality and increased the chance of binding and kickback.
