Let's put these performances in context of her personal career path and her "last ditch" effort (her words) to rescue that career. Her background in musical theatre truly informs her songs, because she performs them not just sings them, bringing the listener into her aura, so her audition with "Tomorrow" was perhaps her first time performing as herself, Sydnie Christmas, not a stage character. Her audition song, originally so optimistic, she transformed to a song of despair, that tomorrow was never going to happen to her. Ironically, this performance was the key to success for her, so then "My Way" was her song of defiance at those who did not recognize her ability. Finally, her version of "Over the Rainbow" was triumphant, as he smiles broadly throughout, knowing she has a future in singing. Great reaction Michael. This is such a beautiful song and touching performance, even though it's a fancam it is a pretty good quality. I prefer the studio version simply because of the quality of the audio, but it is always touching and heartfelt to watch her live performances. Thanks Michael.

It looks like she is struggling with her sound, she is adjusting her inear and are the volum control (or whatever it is) on her back. Not saying it is bad, but she stuggels due to technical issues it seems. ....

Love this one! I tend to prefer Aurora as stripped as possible, and really love this version. She's also fun to watch, which adds something to her live performances. That being said, the album version is one of my favorites on her latest, and it's really well produced with a lot of "interesting" instruments 😁. Harder for me to pick a favorite this time.

This is the first time I have ever heard Aurora perform. My very first thought was of Dolores O' Riordan. I love these kinds of singers that seem to tap into something very ancient, and trigger an atavistic response. It's like I am listening to the voices of my ancestors. Deep, ethereal, intensely moving and emotional, are just a few of the adjectives that come into my mind. Also, there seems to be an unmistakable Celtic sound and influence to her interpretation of this song. I have just recently read an article on the genetic make-up of the people of modern Scandinavia, and it turns out that on their raids across the sea into Britain and Ireland, the Vikings brought back many female slaves that were eventually absorbed in to their society. Perhaps we are listening here to echoes of those women and the influence they had on Nordic culture so long ago. It gives me goosebumps to think about it. Well done. Wonderful reaction. Great reaction, as always! This was such a beautiful and delicate performance. You can't get much more soft and delicate in front of an audience than that. It only works if the crowd is very quiet and respectful (as you said), and they certainly were. I love this, but prefer the studio version. Perhaps I might feel differently if it was professionally recorded, though it was good for a fan cam.
