Dos games it is important part of history, rise of pc games popularity, but 90s windows games are pure pc classic for me.

I played a lot of these but still so many games I've never seen before.

We take 3D for granted. Is crazy that gaming led to graphic cards and now AI. Gaming made computers more than useful

YES! Mechwarrior and Wing Commander are there. Most of "best games" videos focus on FPS and disregard scifi games. 1990s was a golden era of scifi. Hi-Octane, Independence War Deluxe Edition, Battlezone, etc are often disregarded.

Fire emblem awakening was my first strategy rpg game and it was really really fun!

Damn, lot's of games I played back then. Still am an all time gamer and will probably do that till I die. One of the games I played, but forgot the name is Incubation. Awesome game multiplayer.

Thanks for this - brought back so many great memories of gaming back then! I’ve generally fallen out of love with gaming (with some exceptions from time to time - usually games from our friends at Nintendo). Seems very repetitive now. But the 90s were (in my experience) such a cool time to be into games - the tech seemed to be racing into the future (e.g. the progress on graphics vs the 80s). Felt like watching something really come into its own.

This is literally a litany of my childhood. Every single game I played. MDK Oh my god, that was so good back then.

Twinsen Odyssey (Little Big Adventure 2) is a masterpiece still today. Great story, very nice puzzles and mysteries. Also you develop a very emotional conection with all the main caracteres. Its a pitty dont see that story in movies and other games

That was a blast from the past, awesome, thanks for posting, saw a little screen tearing. Was wondering were some of those games that blocky, like pixelated. I seem to remember the graphics being better. Although I said the same when watching re watching VHS block busters.

So many games that I spent my childhood playing. Possibly the best year for games releases ever. So many big names in one year. Halflife and Unreal Fallout 1 & 2 Baldurs gate and Diablo. Age of Empires and Caesar and Pharaoh Turok And Alpha Centauri that was superb.
