2020 Hyundai Kona broken side mirror glass replacement
Просмотров 3,1 тыс.11 месяцев назад
NOTE: The video cuts off slightly early. Hold the mirror at the spot where it attaches to the actuator (the circle thing) and press firmly. Hold as much surface area as possible when pushing in so that you do not break the mirror glass. Press firmly until you hear a click. If you don't hear one, pull it off and try again. DO NOT use too much muscle or you'll break the glass. Firm but don't forc...

Actually, this is the fifth time I've wired a three-way switch circuit. One of those included a four-way switch (controlling a light from three different switches).

their customer service is disgusting they will lock your account even if you login from a different device and make an excuse it is gone forever due to a security breach refuse to open it back even at a branch and make you go through all these hoops to move your money. Their own employees have to be on hold!!
I just changed both of mine and I have to say I thought it was pretty simple considering and I'm not super mechanically inclined but these videos definitely help
Helpful and straightforward, thanks!
I just bought a pair and the right angle tips come out of the ends at about a 30 degree angle - useless.
I'm sorry to hear that. I ended up getting a 4-piece set of the Astro brand and they seem to be very good quality
You're the man. TY.
Life saver. Thank you !

I just ordered this exact mirror and I'm pretty sure the sent me the wrong one. How do I fix this?
See my reply to other comment to see where I got this one. I guess just send the one they gave you back.
I forget, but I believe in this video I say that I had the same problem: being sent the wrong mirror at first. I've ordered a lot of auto parts over the years and honestly it doesn't happen that often. Just make sure to closely compare them and if something doesn't snap into place, don't force it. Good luck to you.
Don’t be fooled into believing this thing will start a Big Truck the worst 450.00 dollars I’ve spent
maybe you are right, but I would be surprised if it couldn't start it, maybe there's another issue, also, it's $340
I have a 2022 Kona N-line with LED headlights. Apparently, they are a sealed unit, and cost $1100 Canadian! I hope they last for ten years?
What size are your shorts? Waist size.

This helped me a lot thank you so much I was recently in a accident and that’s one of the pieces I need to get out and today I was stressing out because I couldn’t find a way to get that bolt out and now I do so thank you so much 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I am very glad to hear that it helped. If you have any more questions, maybe I can help further. Thanks for watching.
I have a problem with which when I turn it on it only gives me 6v. I say this because I put a current tester on it and it only gives me 6v and it doesn't stop beeping. I put it to charge all night and it didn't charge and if I put it on 12v it doesn't stop beeping. Do I have to turn it off? Is there a solution? ❤
take it back, it sounds faulty
Will this be the same for a 2020 tucson se awd?
is it the same engine? If so, yes it should
The 3400 is rated higher because it can start 24 v systems like tractors..hence the higher gauge cables and bigger battery
I was wondering what types of vehicles use 24 volts
does the pin on TCE actually engaged with the paw to provide a second paw engagement safety?
No. When you stick it in, it freely moves, that's why there's a pin to hold it in place (the Pro Lift doesn't have the little pin to hold it in place). But if the pawl inside the jack would fail, then the pin should engage immediately with the ratchet bar. It is shaped exactly as the notch in the ratchet bar. I would guess that all of these types of jack stands are this way---where the pin can move freely.
@@mattmgarza i saw somewhere that the harbor freight version the pin does also engage with the bar giving it two points of support rather than engaging when the first paw fails. I need to buy the HF to see it for myself.
@@HiFiInsider I doubt it's any different from the one in my video. I just looked at the pics of the HF one. If it engaged with the ratchet bar, there'd be no reason for the pin to have the hitch pin on it. Either of these jacks is gonna be a great choice, in my opinion.
Thanks! Very helpful. Next time, it'll take 15 minutes, 1st, 3 hrs. On drivet's side very easy to confuse lo beam & hi beam. They both have round cover. Use wheel well access hole, no confusion plus more room for hands to work. Also, very easy to plug bulb in...backwards. notch on bulb MUST align with notch on socket. And FYI, owner's manual says disconnect negative battery cable..ENJOY!
Thank you for the video !
Why not just use an electric transfer pump if you're gonna hook up to an outlet anyway? The best use case for these seem to be as a sump pump backup if the power goes out, or for transferring auto fluids when you're too far from an outlet
No shot i found this. I was looking at the exact same video, ended up looking at the BigRed version of this which looks identical to the TCE. Going back and forth on which one to get (big red or tce). I might go with TCE for the blue. How are they 1 year later?
How hard would it be to swap a 3.5 in the car out of interpid are 300m ??
I don't know, but probably really hard. I don't know much about swapping engines but I do know that the wiring harness would be an issue....not all of the same plugs, also the engine mount would be different which would require welding. It's hard enough putting the original engine back in, lol. I suspect that kind of thing would be easier on much older cars---more room under the hood and not as many electronics.
Ok thank you
Hi, to test the horn with the pink wire using terminal 25 needs the battery connected also or disconnected, I tried and the negative was disconnected, I had no sound from the horn but the relay was clicking, I am wondering if I got no sound because of the battery being disconnected
you definitely will need the battery connected for the horn to work (unless the circuit is somehow being powered externally), good luck to you
Great video. Very informative. Thanks!
Is there 3 bolts
I believe so, just check the new starter or a pic of a new starter for this vehicle and you'll know

That, "shiiit", was so real, as a D.I.Y.er I felt that. Lol. Thank you for the video.
haha....yeah, I'm about to change an alternator on a 2002 Ford Escape here in just a bit and it requires removing a cv axle, I'm sure I'm gonna do some more cussing lol
Muy interesante, para hacer el video debiste haber creado las condiciones, iluminación,trabajar con las dos manos
I was alone and could do the job with only one hand. I used the other hand to record the video.
Omg thank you for this! Mine just went out last night and I couldn't find any information haha. This is great. 👌🏼
You're welcome! You will see others mentioning the little opening in the wheel well that you can use, that works fine but I like this method better, it's easier on the wrists in my opinion.
who told you that you wouldnt need to bleed the brakes, ANY time you open a hydralic line you get air in the system, it might not be much but its there, you might bleed out a lot of fluid from each line (length of line from the point you opened it) but you will find bubbles. even if the pedal feels good now, a small bubble in the line wont make the pedal go to the floor, thats the result of an open/expanding line or a bad master cylinder. ALWAYS bleed your brakes folks
I didn't need to bleed the brakes when opening it from there. I just didn't, sorry.
Did it read a code or how did you know it needed to be changed?
I just changed it for a customer as part of a tune-up. I don't believe there was ever a code associated with it.
@@mattmgarza ya bc I can’t tell what’s been going on with my engine. I hope it’s something simple. It runs hot but the fans are working and rad is full and seems to be flowing. I’m hoping it’s the thermostat but trying to find other sources to
Is it necessary to disconnect the negative battery cable? The owners manual says to do so ??? Please advise.
no
Yup worked like a charm! Had it out in 2 minutes
I just wanted to say great video man! I had the exact same problem did the exact same thing that you did and it came right out
so you found my video and it helped you get the sensor out?
Thanks for the video. mine had a "trap door" in the wheel wells to make things a little bit easier.
Man, you actually just saved my ass. Thank you 😂
Good to hear! So my method worked for your van?
@@mattmgarza yep! It’s nice because I only have one scissor Jack and I only have grass to park my vehicles on.
@@Dailyfiber_98 I'm glad to hear it worked out then! Yeah, as you can see in the video I had two floor jacks. I also have a transmission jack that really comes in handy for gas tanks. Doing that with one scissor jack and going all the way to the ground---I don't know how that would work, so I'm glad you didn't have to drop it all the way down.
Add a catch can while you are in there. Prevents some of the sludge buildup on the intake valves.
Thanks fam
Can i use this as a power bank. And how many MAH
yeah, but it weighs about 50 pounds, it's 3400 peak amps, so I don't know how that translates to milliamps.
Hello, does this procedure apply to Kona 2022 as well? Thank you
probably---is the lens similar looking? Just give it a try after watching this video
I agree with the other guys comment i think thats a great tip and or alternative or the standard procedure dont work thank u
did you have to use zip ties to get the belt on? Hopefully I explained it well. I did this belt job when I had a mobile auto repair service. Someone from out of town was staying at a hotel and said he spent all day trying to get the belt on. I came out to help and we got it done super quick. It made me feel really good to help him out and I made decent money doing it---win-win situation.
Thank you so much for the video ❤❤❤❤❤ I am a woman 👩 and I did this by myself ❤I am so proud of me ❤
Greatly appreciated! Thank you.
The round dust-cover door doesn't even exist in our 2018 Kona. There's a square thing there with nothing to remove.

Thanks for your help. I couldn't get it from the bottom because Mines have 2 screws on the bottom and the one on top is different. And I didn't have it 24 either but I was luckily able to get it from the hood..Mannn It's a struggle when you have super big hands like mines But it saved me some bucks thanks 😊
I'm glad it helped out!
Is this wire very flexible or no?
yes, definitely flexible
So have you had any problems with this? I just picked one up and when I took the plastic wrap off the spools they all unraveled and were impossible to keep on the spools properly. Also have you replaced a spool, if so how did that go?
Yeah, it will definitely unravel like that. I haven't replaced any spools, I doubt that's even possible, but I don't know. Once I used a few spools, I just tossed the metal holder into the recycle bin. It is good wire---I assume wire like this is all made of a standardized quality. I used this wire to install my cruise control right around the time of this video, and have never had a problem. It is definitely what it claims to be.@@drjbarnes1957
You just saved me 60 bucks thanks!!
I'm very happy to hear that. I had a mobile auto repair service for several years and that was one of my main goals...to save people money
This video is helpful! Thank you
