I love DOTD but if you don't know how to cheese the game that level can be a real pain the first time I played it was with a friend that level was a real slog to go though

Real cause every 10 inches there was a boss fight and no mana at your disposal

When TLOS was coming out, I thought it was so much fun, and DOTD was very influential to me. I always viewed the trio as innovation, not a discount to the franchise. My ten year old heart was shattered when I heard they canceled the fourth TOLS as well as the movie just because the old Spyro fans were unhappy with the direction the franchise was going. I grew up with spyro from the first game and thought TLOS was WAY better than a Hero's Tale or Enter the Dragonfly, that's why I didn't really mind them going the combat route because to me as a kid the 'classic' colloctathon nature of Spyro had gotten old.

I've always had the PS2 version, and I wasn't even aware about some of these differences, such as all of the missing graphics throughout the pause menu! Very interesting.

This game will always be special to me. I played it with my best friend not long after we first met and it helped kickstart our friendship. The memories we made on this game are timeless.

After seeing a comparison between the three games, ngl, I really would love to try this one at some point. The whole combat thing having been vastly improved from the two previous Legend of Spyro games, all the flying and exploration, really large and honestly quite pretty environments, it's got it all really!

I really liked the story and the world presented in these games, unfortunately the gameplay was below average and insanely repetitive. I wish these games had Classic Spyro's addictive gameplay, because then they would be easy 8/10s in my book.
