CorOS 3.0 Dropped yesterday and finally brought long awaited plugin compatibility to the Quad Cortex. I was messing round with the Gojira stuff and made this preset in the style of Thrown. No post processing to any of the guitars, just double tracked guitars I recorded to show off the preset. Hey, thanks dude! This is GGD PV with the low snare - I’ve blended a sample I took from a drum session a couple of years ago in there too but it’s not crazy loud in the mix or anything! 🫶🏻
so when we will have guitars and pitch shifters with which we can assign the shift automations separately to every string, we will be able to unlock the infinite 0 while playing melodies. noice.
Line 6 already did that with their Variax guitars

The kit sounds different here than the mixwave demo. What kind of post processing have you done if any? I love the sound of the kit here but didn’t love it in the actual demo video, I’m just wondering if I should get it or not
Hey, thanks! glad you liked it :) I put saturn on the individual shells just to add some more vibe and shave some peaks off, other than that there's an instance of smash and grab on the drum bus just to glue things a little better. Hits a master bus after that's a typical high/low boost and the usual fast attack Nolly style compression. That's more or less it from the top of my head, they really don't need much to sound good. Historically I've not really vibed with pre processed kits but found myself really liking this one!

110ish for the most part, 120 for the super hard hits. Couple of the double crash and downbeats are at 127!

how do you get your kick sound like that?
This libraries pre processed so most of the heavy lifting is done out of the box! All I did was mess with levels and distort the top end a little with fabfilter Saturn. Nothing crazy :)
How do like the Phoenix?
I adore it. It’d be my new #1 studio guitar if it had an evertune, but hopefully I can get that fitted asap!

Man the snare in this library sounds fucking killer, im tempted to buy it just for that snare 😂 right now im using the onk Metal kit n i blend the sample in from the Hard Rock kit that i had previously n it sounds pretty beefy, but this snare just has that pop/snap right out of the gate its killer! Sweet demo man, sounds fucking HUGE!
One of the main reasons i picked it up! love the ring. A lot less "clean" sounding than other GGD stuff, which is neither a good or bad thing, just a preference of mine. Thank you! ♥
