I Built a Rube Goldberg Machine Clock (Laser Cut)
I made a Rube Goldberg Machine that tells time! In this video I'll show you exactly how each mechanical system works together to advance the hour. I designed this clock to be as complicated as possible and make use of 5 main over-engineered systems. On this clock, you'll find a Marble and Track, a set of Dominos, an intricate ratchet system, and more! Watch to learn how I was able to make this clock reset each one of it's own systems autonomously!

Building a (really) over-engineered clock (Rube Goldberg Machine)
Просмотров 7 тыс.5 месяцев назад
I'll be building a one-of-a-kind (and really over-engineered) clock today! Watch to see how this clock works and how each intricate little system works together to advance the hour! I took inspiration from those old-fashioned Rube Goldberg Machines for this clock design, so, it goes through a super complicated series of mechanisms all just to increase the hour! How to Build a 3D Printed Robot Arm Tutorial (Arduino Based) - Part Two
Просмотров 85 тыс.Год назад
This is Part Two of the detailed assembly tutorial for the Compact Robot Arm. Throughout these parts, you'll learn exactly how to assemble, wire, and send code to this robotic arm and controller! In this part, I will take you through the wiring of this arm/controller and we'll upload the code! If you haven't seen Part One, you'll need to watch that first (I've linked it below). In Part One we f...

This is the detailed assembly tutorial for the Compact Robot Arm. (Part One) Throughout these parts, you'll learn exactly how to assemble, wire, and send code to this robotic arm and controller! In Part One specifically, we'll focus on the major assembly of the upper arm. The next part (Part Two) will take you through the wiring of the arm/controller and we'll upload the code! I hope this is he...
I Built the Strangest Clock Ever (Arduino Based) (Laser Cut) - Creality Falcon2
Просмотров 13 тыс.Год назад
Turns out there are more ways to tell time than you may have thought! This unique clock design tells time in a completely different way than any traditional clock. How can such a contraption actually work? Well, this video will take you through the design process, inner works, and assembly process. 90% of this clock was made from laser cut wood on Creality’s Falcon2 Laser Machine (link below). ...
Creality Falcon2 22W Laser Engraver/Cutter: Perfect for Beginners!
Просмотров 32 тыс.Год назад
A laser engraver/cutter made by Creality?! It seems Creality (one of the largest 3D Printer manufactures in the world) has decided to take a step into the laser engraving business! Today we'll see if this 3D Printer giant can't tackle laser engravers with the same quality and organization as their printers. I'll push this machine to its limits and see how it really preforms though this honest r...

Really nice and elegant design! Beautiful!
Cool!!!
3d printing size
Hi friend, how should the Hull_Part_1 part be printed? In what position? Do you need to add media for printing? How many perimeter layer?
Amazing work dude!! Can I ask how you learned to program? (just got my bachelor degree in meccanical engineering and would love to create a robo arm, but I don't know anything about programming)
@@coldblood3198 Hi there! Thanks! Although my programming skills aren’t excellent, all of my C++ coding knowledge comes from video tutorials here on RUclips. There are really so many great resources available for free.
@@buildsomestuff perfect, thank you very much. Keep building amazing stuff.
Pleeeaaase give me the stl's and instructions!!
Yes, I can if you mean me
Could you print the gears?
how much volte i should adjust from power supply to the T plug ??
Hiiiii
Hi
Hiii
hey i want your help in this project so will you help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cool!
Id like the files
That's amazing! What area can the head moves?
Just finished building this amazing project and helpful tutorial you are a really guineas thank you
What is the precision like on the movement? How fine can you adjust it's positioning?
can u explain the DOF for each motor & the mathematics of the project ?
That's great, good job man!
Hello, I´m a teacher on a High School in Germany, exactly in Bavaria. I´m very, very impressed of Your project and I want to make it with my pupils. Is it possible if You press the button on the gripper and simulate a movement with the small robot included the potis that the robot can repeat this movement automatically? Is there an additional button necessary for save and repeat the automatically movement? Kind regards Michael
May I know the dimension of the used gears? I am planning to also 3d print the 40T and 34T gears
Did u get the dimension of the gears?
The background music sounds like a bad word
I can't find the filament, its gone :(
Hey I have rewired this 3 times now and it just cant get it to work any tips will help thank you
Nice design good explanation But i think its better to use stepper motors instead of potentiometers. Stronger.!
👏🏻💯
Can you make a new tutorial just about the wireing for begineers😊
5v 2amper güç kaynağı yeterli mi ?
make sure the max current your 7V power supply provides is enough to power ALL servos, the arduino and plus extra for losses from wiring.
What voltage and amps should I use if I using a lithium battery would a 11v work
@@connorribera4198 11v should work for the arduino, but if the servos are 4.8v-7.2v, you should step down voltage going to them. for battery current, you have to look at the stall current of a servo, and add them all up, and add extra buffer.
WHO TF ARE YOU? BECAUSE YOU'RE A GENIUS! THANKS!!
Keep at it!
hello, i decided to make this project, and i started to buy the pieces, print the parts but icant find the code. someone help me? i cant see the code in printables(sorry for bad english, (from turkey))
Cool stuff! What speed and power do you use to cut cardboard? Just got my pro2 and was looking for some settings!
Thanks! Here are the settings I use for cardboard: (Speed/Power) Cutting: (600.0/75.00). Hope this helps!

Awesome presentation Kelton
I noticed one of the wires isn't the same as on the diagram
??
First of all i wanted to thank you for the thorough walk through and the detailed explanations. This is my first "big" project in electronics i am doing. I have a small question that might come off a bit unknowledgeable. For this project i need a power source/supplier. How do i pick my power source? Do i get a battery? an adjustable power supply (that seems the best choice but also most expensive). How do I know what Voltage and current i need to supply in this type of project? Thank you very much!
dope
Hello, excellent video. I would like to know where I can get the 4 gears or if you have the stl to print
Hello, the maximum voltage for the pca9685 (servo driver board) is 6 volts yet you still supply it with 7, how?
everything works but only 2 servos move but when they do they twitch. idk why and iv been trying to find the probem for a while now but i cant
hey dude, awesome stuff. Just wondering what can you change to make the join movements smoother and more accurate?
I think using a belt and pulley system would be much smoother, the downside being how much more complex and prone to breaking that would be, alternatively you can use a chain and gears (I've used both for robots before personally the extra smoothness isn't worth it in my opinion)
Hello, I’m Abo it to put everything together. Just wanted to ask, when you plug the Arduino in to upload the code, do you also plug in the power supply at the same time so the servos work, or will that be too much voltage and fry something?
I just came across this video and was really impressed with the in-depth review! I really look forward to watching your other videos!
AWESOME project! the best robotic arm I've ever seen on RUclips. The description contains a file with 25 3D elements is that all that is needed to build it?
and what the hand is powered by
May I create it in PLA using Printer 3d instead of Laser cut converting File F3d
I'm finally getting around to posting about this lol
I got this working, but my hand servo doesn't move and the smaller arm with the pentiometers doesn't move the bigger arm unless I hold the button down, when the button should control the smaller servo for the hand. Any ideas where I went wrong?
I got the same problem, I litterally just built it
