My love for crafting evolved slowly; when my babies became grown children and free time became a luxury in which I was now able to indulge. The sense of satisfaction when a project was completed drove me to move on to the next one. And so that is what I have done. Create projects that bring me -and others - satisfaction. Knowing that others enjoy my finished projects motivates me to explore new methods of creativity. Which is why I find myself caught up in needles & thread on one project, and covered with scraps of paper from the next. While my projects are not works of art, the fact that I have made them with my own hands has taught me a lot about myself and people in general. The fact is, most people appreciate the time and effort (and maybe talent?) that goes into a handmade item. These people recognize that a homemade item has been has been made with a great deal of care and attention to detail. Indeed, they have often been “made with you in mind”.
Using Scraps to make an A2 card
In this video I show you how you can use your scraps and a simple layout to make an A2 size card.
The measurements I mentioned are as follows:
Piece of copy paper is 4" x 5"
Bottom and top parts of first front layer are 2 3/8" x 5
center strips are 1/4" wide
The actual first layer (once pieced together) is 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
The second background layer is 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
The third background layer is 4" x 5 1/4"

How large is the finished flower?
The finished flower is about 18” in diameter, using the template at the size provided. The template can be re-sized tho, just as long as all pieces are grouped together and re-sized at the same time.
i am blown away by your method...I have been doing this for years and I have never seen anyone make a dahlia in this manner. Thank you for giving access to such a great template. Before I hated these flowers because of the way you had to attach them and roll them. This solves all those problems and no more cramming! I saved it just now and can't wait til morning to try this out. I wanted a new bedroom set for over my headboard...so i was researching and yours are beautiful! Just wanted to say thank you and would love to send you pic of finished set...Im doing mine in a mustard yellow paper with Color detailed edging. Can't wait!
Paper Posy Peddler I’m so glad you are going to make one! My goal was to come up with a pattern that would be a consistent way to make these “giant” paper flowers, Can’t wait to see pics of your finished flowers!
Running like a factory!

If you would like a .pdf version of the file than I'd be happy to send you that! You can email me at Marnie.kirsch@gmail.com and I will get it emailed out to you!

Thank you so much for your tutorials. Can't wait to try some things!
Hello. Your flowers are beautiful. Is there anyway that you can add the link directly to design space as you did your other tutorials? Thanks
EricaNicole365 hello Erica, unfortunately I cannot seem to add a working link from here.
I made this today, I'd show you but I don't know how to add a pic. It turned out awesome! I'm so in love with it! thank you for sharing!!!
kaptainjack69 That’s great! I’m so happy to hear that!
This is so pretty. How much paper did it take to make this?
Wanda Scott-Smart this takes about 20-22 pieces of 8.5 “ x 11” paper, depending on how closely you layout your template pieces.
How did you do it on your Cricut? I mean what template do I search for at cricut?
Lhynzy’s Life if you download the svg file in the description area then you can upload it into Design Space. Hope that helps.
