I'm definitely going to be giving this consideration to purchase as my upgraded head unit. The factory unit sucks!;I've always strictly gone with Pioneer. I think it might be time to go in a different direction. 😎

I swapped out the factory speakers with Infinity Reference 6 1/2 in all 4 doors and a set of Kenwoods in the dash a couple years back. Are you planning to change out your dash speakers anytime soon?

Looking great! The color of your truck is one of my favorite colors that GM had on these trucks. I have a 2014 white crew cab 4x4 LTZ trim. Have a ways to go to get mine where I want it. Keep up the great customizing!

After 5mins my oil pressure is over 40 but 30's at cold start up and I have a oil pan leaking and possibly rear main seal

That is a beautiful truck! I wish my Grandpa had liked short beds so my Dad could have left one to me. (Dad got the truck after Mom’s father passed) and then he passed too in 2021. I’m going to do this lowering when I have the help to get it done. Right now, I’ve ordered the HD hood and grille parts for my 2005 model SCLB. I’m trying to get rid of the inexpensive, farm truck look it has. I’ve already bought and installed 2007 model Avalanche 18” wheels on it. Huge difference from what Grandpa would have wanted. I’ve also put 2007 model SILVERADO 3D badges on the doors and tailgate. Along with the 2007 bow tie on the tailgate. I love the CatEye design Silverado. I don’t want a newer model, just want to make mine look less like a farm truck. Your video is a great idea and explanation of how to get it done. Thanks!

Will this process work for a long bed CatEye? I have a 2005 Silverado long bed Regular Cab. I’d like to leave the front alone and just lower the rear to be level, or no more than 2 inches higher than the front. I will need the hitch on it though. My truck is used to pull a trailer every so often. This process looks pretty simple to do. I just need it to work for a long bed and not let the rear be lower than the front. I don’t want to change anything about the front suspension on my truck. Great video! Thanks for the help in understanding how to do this.

Did you need a different belt size?

I own both Chevys and fords. Ford= Dead Batteries, always parasitic drains. Also known for never passing emissions EVER ! My chevy has always been perfect, with no problems ever, and parts are more affordable if there needed, not like the fords. Fords Engine like the crappy 5.4 is also garbage. It was always be a personal choice. All vehicles if not maintained have issues, it is what the price of fixing them comes in to focus on preference. Oh I also Got the .50 cal bullet antenea and love it.

Addictives and cheap oil. That's from running multiple different additives. The best thing to use is full syn amsoil and zero additives for a clean motor

My truck is just about at 20 or a lil over 20 at idle but goes to 40 or a lil over 40 when i hit the gas its a silverado also 5.3 with upgraded cam doesnt make any tap or knocking noises should i replace o ring first .?

This is one of the worst exhaust companies I have ever dealt with in my lifetime and I have dealt with them all Gibson magnaflow Walker and Flowmaster. They all warranty their products and make their customers happy MBRP does not care about their customers and they send out systems with extremely loud mufflers. If you want a quiet muffler with your system, you have to pay an additional $250 to get it because these people do not care about their customers or quality is poor ,I promise you I have dealt with these people for years and made several orders and they refuse to send out warranty mufflers, or help their customers anymore. I highly recommend you do business with somebody like diamond eye or anybody else don’t ever think about returning anything to MBRP because they will charge you 10% and then you have to pay to send it and then number three if it gets damaged in transit, they will refuse to refund your money. This is the biggest rip off company ever.

Getting ready to order some more Jbl Gto629, have some in my van they get loud not sure if there hi res but same price as the alpine type s, and I’ve seen them beat them in battles of sq for the older version , do you think these new Alpines are a lot better then the previous ??

I have a super simple setup wheels and all... what's the power?

you know i recently finished my LBZ. Egr Delete, res plug, 3” downpipe, BANKS intake, and it has a full 4” exhaust, and i’m not sure if it honestly whistles less now? I feel like my first drive when it was stock it used to whistle louder, at least from inside the cab that’s what it seemed like. Currently has a muffler, followed by the tail pipe. Maybe straight piping it will complete it?

I think you make a great install video. I learned a lot watching. Keep up the good work and keep making videos like this where you take your time and explain all the little things. Been in car audio for decades and this was one of the better videos. Awesome truck too man.

What exhaust system?

Great video. I just did a very similar install on a 2013 Silverado with a Pioneer DMH-W3050NEX. Whenever the headunit is on there is static / white noise coming through the speakers. Everything works just pretty significant white noise when no music is playing. Any ideas? Appreciated.
