"THAT'S IT YOU'RE GETTING A DECAF"
just bought a box recently, i think i will make a loaf with it. just have to buy a loaf pan, never owned one. lol
This is a comparison is overwhelmed by the ground vs bean coffees differences. It would be far more convincing to compare bean to bean or ground to ground.
Nice video! I love the Korean Beefless Bulgogi and ice cream sandwiches.
great video, would have been nice to see the taste the melted versions to know if the flavors changed or improved with heating.
Whole beans ☕️I found a Starbucks whole bean at a Starbucks It’s actually really good the variety is called Pike Place Roast $13-14 16oz The bag has expiration date for a month before o bought it. Perhaps that’s why it was a tad less but alway whole beans I will break out with if it’s already ground causing oils to sit and feeding viruses
Have you noticed that many, if not most decaf coffees that say they are medium light, medium, or light roast, actually look - DARK BROWN or even BLACK?
Exactly what I said, a stout..
It’s all in your mind..if you didn’t know they were decaf you would say they were good
Was this limited to grocery store coffees? Because there are so many better decaf coffees out there. Look around at your local roasters, or even online. For not much more money, you can easily get better decaf coffee that you won’t mind drinking all day. And best of all, you could support a local roaster
Try Bitburger or Peroni if you want a good example of an alc-free lager, a more "beer tasting beer" ya know.
Thank you for the recommendations.
I love Newman's Own Organic Decaf coffee. Decaf French or Italian roast is very good in some of the high end brands. I do like a lot of Whole Food items.
Bro watch thoughty2’s video about food deception and he covers coffee grounds. Coffee grounds taste worse because there are loose regulations on the grounds where bugs and wood chips are fine as part of the coffee if it’s naturally picked up with the beans. So many coffee grounds have wood chips, big skeletons, and many other “inclusions naturally acquired” that reduce the percent of coffee and ruin the flavor. A study showed almost all pre ground coffee beans had a large detectable amount of disgusting inclusions. This isn’t just in your head, it is absolutely 1000000% real and completely proven. Some people like Folgers for the flavor which has its own unique wood chip and bug excrement and dirt mix hahaha. Personally I would recommended NEVER drinking coffee from pre ground beans ever ever ever, it’s got to be horrible for you. Even if it isn’t it’s dangerous for you to be consuming random essentially unregulated things added. Could be oil in that soil or microplastics and this is coming from someone who thinks the environmental nutheads are crazy and unrealistic. I have to say thought I believe protecting our environment, biodiversity, and energy sustainable future are extremely important. I also think we need stricter recycling laws so we don’t waste materials that much. But this isn’t some organic nuthead stuff, they actually just add dangerous disgusting shit.
Peet's medium big bang decaf is the best decaf coffee I've ever had (I know y'all showed another variety in this video clip but this one taste different in a good way )
Damn, vegan cheese suckz
Guys ... you're just finding out which of the bags happens to have been added to the shelf last. Any sypermarket coffee is famously stale at purchase. If you care about coffee that much, buy from a local roaster and consume within days or have it shipped to you right after roasting. Grind the whole beans at home. I freeze coffee as soon as it arrives to always have peak freshness. The freezing itself also makes the beans grind differently, improving the taste. Especially decaf stales within days, not weeks.
Since doing this video we have found a local roaster that makes an amazing decaf and we always buy whole bean coffee if available. Freezing coffee can be tricky if not done correctly so I typically store the whole beans in a sealed mason jar and consume in under a week.
@@Forgetthefork Mason jars are good not great. What you're doing works well enough for normal coffee. However, decaf stales so much faster that single batch freezing with 50 ml test tubes or via vacuum sealing is better. You also get the added benefit of better flavor profiles for coffee ground frozen. See the decaf video of James Hoffman but ignore his advice to thaw before grinding. Separate other channels who do deep dives have determined that grinding frozen coffee is better even though it introduces more fines.
Thanks for sharing! The tea sounded great.
It so good it is almost gone!
If you want to have more tasty food, always go for some popular brands like Haldiram, Lays, Bingo, parle, Balaji, Bikano. The one you are showing we dont eat at all.
Thank you for the tip! I will definately look out for those brands next time.
really enjoyed your review. Masala is just a mix of ground spices (usually cardamom, cinnamon, coriander, cloves and cumin). Garum Masala means hot (spicy) masala and is not to be confused with the Roman garum which is a fermented fish sauce. Dishes like "chicken tikka masala" is a dish using a masala in the sauce. I would love to see your channel grow. Edit: you call coriander cilantro
Thanks for watching! These snacks were really tasty and we have since purchased the samosa snacks several times. P.S. Sorry if we spoke on the cilantro
@@Forgetthefork no no, I was just translating. I think you say coriancer for the stem and seed but cilantro for the leaf.
I love your reviewing style. i'd really like to hear your opinion on vegan cheeses.
Thanks for watching. We do have a video on trying some vegan cheese you should check it out!
Hi Ben and Alex! I love their Pickle Seasoning and 100% stock up since it’s seasonal. I didn’t know about some of these. Thanks for sharing. Loving the videos btw💕
Havent seen that one before but will definitely keep an eye out for it. What time of year does it come out??
@@Forgetthefork Yes! I believe it’s spring time. 💚
Tim’s is my goto decaf. But not great.
At least it has an ok flavor, maybe try a local roaster and see if they have something to your liking
Eight O'Clock Decaf has that robusty flavor and there does not seem to be any info how they decaffeinate their beans as TH does the Swiss Water process. Eight O'Clock may do the same thing as it it is not bitter as Folgers DC.
Bluemoon's nonalcoholic Belgian-style wheat is pretty good. Other than that, I've been preferring Sierra Nevada's Hop Splash (the original only) over everything. It gives the aroma I want from an IPA as well as the texture from being sparkling water with a touch of flavor. It fulfills that need.
We have wanted to try the hop splash but i haven’t seen it here. We do get the lagunitas hoppy refresher here which might be worth trying.
@@Forgetthefork I've tried that as well, I'm growing hops this upcoming grow season and trying to find what I can do. Lagunitas to me was just more of a traditional seltzer water whereas Hop Splash has a lot more of the aroma and flavor due to it being dry-hopped. I hope you can find it near you soon!
Nearly every Bavarian brewery (and there are plenty), has also a non-alcoholic beer. Some are a little sweat (you taste the remaining sugar that is not converted by the yeast), but some are really fantastic. I don't know where you are from, but maybe you can get your hands on some ;)
Are you talking big breweries like becks? We would definately try some if you had a favorite brewery to recommend.
Kaliber by Guinness was my best replacement for real beer, fruity beers make me gag their popularity astounds me.
I will have to keep eye out for kaliber as I didn’t see it at my liquor store.
I bought the Royal Canyon on this recommendation. With shipping it cost $27. Pretty pricey for coffee but worth it if it actually tastes like coffee. I always drink iced coffee so I tried it iced. Welp. It tastes like coffee flavored water. Nope. Pretty awful. Then, I bought the Peet's at my local grocery store. IT'S BETTER THAN THE ROYAL CANYON BY A MILE. So, as with all things, it's personal preference. I wish I could find a decent decaf. I'll settle for the Peet's, which actually does taste close to the dark roast caffeinated that I'm used to. I feel like with coffee it really depends on what caffeinated coffee you used to drink before switching to decaf. I always prefer a dark roast, the darker the better. So, for me, Royal Canyon is absolutely awful and Peet's is the closest I've found to a decent dark roast decaf.
Thanks so much for this information.
@@flacadiabla3193 You're welcome. I have finally landed on a decaf I like! Peet's Dark Roast Decaffeinated - Major Dickason's Blend. But what I do is add 1 tablespoon of caffeinated dark roast to the decaf and I get the coffee flavor I like.
@luluward1172 Thanks! I've also been hearing about being careful with the process of decaf. Chemical vs. Water. I tried cutting out coffee altogether due to caffeine, but I love the taste. I shall try Pete's. Thanks so much!
Yay! We get that amazing bulgogi EVERY time 👏
We use it on everything from burritos to pizza toppings!
Those Joe-Joes are life changing 👏
I love love love Trader Joe's. As for the sweet goodies I enjoy them all!
I’ve been using the stollen crisps with cheddar cheese and they’re tasty! Merry Christmas!
Sounds like a great combo! Happy holidays.
Great reviews. I really liked the Fried Olive Bites. Great taste.
They were definitely a great find! Glad to hear you liked them too
Love your reviews. Very thorough. Thanks!
Thank you for the support! Hope you found something worth trying from the video.
@@Forgetthefork I love the Stollen crisps I picked up 3 boxes. I will be picking up the cranberry goat log to pair with it. Thanks for the recommendation. Also I will pick up the vegetable pouches, as I saw them today. They look awesome. Thanks.
the algorithm brought me here.. and i'm glad it did
We are happy you found us! Thanks for watching!
𝑁𝑖𝑐𝑒 👍
I thought it was just me I can't find anything I'm happy with
I think we might have finally found a good one from a local roaster but in general most big brand coffee makers dont make a good decaf, which is too bad.
It's impossible for supermarket decaf not to be stale when you buy it. Local roaster, purchase, freeze, grind at home.
I really love the Hatch Chili & Jalapeno cheese dip. I dip French baguette pieces in it, and love it that way. Love your thorough reviews. They are great! Thanks!
I tried it in a breakfast burrito this week. Highly recommend! Thank you for watching.
@@Forgetthefork Would also be good on a burger or cooked macaroni, just about anything to give it a zing.
Been DF for 7 years now and Miyoko’s is definitely the way to go! Their butter also tastes as close to real butter that i’ve found! I’m so surprised I only discovered the brand a few months ago, their cheese is excellent on pizza too.
Do you know if they make other types of cheese as we could only find the mozzarella?
@@Forgetthefork, pretty sure they only have the mozzarella right now
@@Forgettheforkit's one of the cheeses in your video. lol
Thank you for showcase vegan options! So helpful to get opinion before buying them. I also recommend trying trader joes feta or boursin dairy free. I've also heard Chao is good too
We were thinking of trying the Trader Joe’s feta and will definitely will now! We will have more videos showcasing vegan options in the near future so say tuned 😃
I would have thought this channel has at least 100k subscribers, good content. Keep it up! :)
Thank you!
I want all these things 😂
Great review 👏👏
They doin’t smell like anything-even the whole been. I think that is half the battle. imho
Great channel!
Great reviews!
Thanks for watching and Happy Pumpkin Season!
Thanks for your reviews. Sure helps as lot, as the cheese is expensive and nice to know how each one tastes before buying. Thanks.
We really enjoyed trying them all and then figuring out what to do with them after the video. Hope you get to try out some fancy cheese at TJ’s. If you can get the pizza cheese at your store, use it to make a quesadilla soooo good.
Thanks for the great reviews. Much appreciated.
Thank you!
Chile Lime, Everything Bagel & Citrus Garlic are my FAVORITES
Promo*SM 😆
Why not add some milk to the oats? Thin it out a bit. Get a small bowl, add oats, add milk. I have never eaten a scone without butter or something creamy.
That is a great idea! These scones were pretty sweet but butter would have only made them better.
