Starsky and Hutch movie I was terrible. I didn’t see it but I didn’t care to see it because I made it into a comedy not the original series didn’t have comedy in it but the movie was just ridiculous. Like I said I had no interest in seeing it when I saw the trailers for it. 🤬

I wish David Soul *had* gone through with his film on Dietrich Bonhoeffer. If he had, he would be remembered for something more than "Starsky and Hutch."

18:33 - 18:40 Discussing the two TV cops' iconic Ford Torino, "Starsky & Hutch" producer Joe Naar spouts, "We started something in television that had not been done previous to that and that was car chases." WRONG. Preceding the show in the '70s was James Garner's "The Rockford Files" series -- that had perfected a certain Jim Rockford driving stunt with the private eye's Pontiac Firebird to perfection and repetition the stunt drivers, Garner himself and the directors [and eventually the audience] termed it 'a Rockford.' Over on "The Streets of San Francisco" executive producer Quinn Martin was not about to let those up-and-down streets go to waste -- especially after Steve McQueen's driving the streets of the City by the Bay a few years prior in "Bullitt, considered one of the greatest movie car chase scenes ever -- so Michael Douglas's and Karl Malden's SFPD detectives performed lots of street magic with stock Ford LTD sedans. That blooper was a careless boast by Naar. I would not be surprised if his two stars would have corrected him on that. "Thank you, 'Martin Derbyshire,'"

It's odd watching this now after David's passing, to see how bitter he rightly was over not getting paid for all those repeats and movie spin offs. Paul also had his fair share of tragedies too, with his wife etc.

Poor guy. "I was meat for the grinder" in Andy Warhol's personal life. I really cannot stand the "élite" of the world of art, music, movies, academia, politics, and religion. There's something very troubling about the vast majority of them. On another note, how could they not be receiving residuals?

Dalton and Lazenby have great stage presence here. Brosnan just doesn't have that naturally. Nor Craig. They act. But Lazenby and Dalton just have swagger and it is plain to see when they walk down the stairs, shake Parky's hand and simply stand on the podium.

It is such a crying shame we all have to get old and fall off the peaks of our lives at some point and time, but we all do no matter on what scale we have achived. We somehow look back at these stars in the prime of their lives and invision them still that way, but don't realize they have aged a great bit, and so have us baby boomers. I'm pushing 70 years old now and my brain thinks I am still 25 and my body thinks my brain is stupid. So there is a battle going on there that I'm going to have to figure out how to deal with...LOL I loved this TV show and still do, but reality is, it's long gone. May David Soul always rest in Heavenly Peace. He was definitely a fantastic star!!!

I absolutely loved starsky and Hutch as a kid . I have so much respect for David , bearing his ( no pun intended ) soul . He's lived a hell of a life .And the recollections of so called modern artists , reflects that . The alleged genius of Warhol , is overshadowed by the abuse of children I also feel desperately sorry for Paul Michael Glazier. How strong do you have to be , to survive such tragedy. He has my utmost respect .. He buried his young daughter and wife ,who he loved dearly . Such strength of character is so rarely recognized. Amazing upload .
