Where day working cowboy meets starving musician.
Zach Martinez Poncho
We met up with Zach outside Elko Nevada during the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering. Zach is a rancher from northern Utah. Zach comes from a long line of horsemen and he continues on that legacy today.
Zach had this to say:
"Music has been a part of my life since I was born. My dad is quite a singer and would sing old Don Williams songs to me as a baby. I also grew up listening to Def Leppard, AC/DC, Michael Martin Murphey and a whole conglomeration of music.
I began my own writing in high school and found out I could only write about horses, cows, mountains and riding. I found that this writing gave me an even deeper connection to the life I was already living."

We met up with Zara on the ranch in southern Colorado. Zara had this to say: “Music to me is community. It’s gathering around to tell a story, doesn’t mean you have to be good or important - just means that you’ve got a little something to say, maybe something to help you get by or maybe it’s to help your friend get by. Though, music has mostly helped me through the big things in life that I ne...

Love all of Brennan's stuff. Hes got some camp songs that are 🔥! C96 and Prarie Piracy are amazing as well.
This has to be on the new album
🎉🎉
All That, & The lyric info. In 1, Did I die & go 2 Heaven! ? It's All Better than Good or a better way to put it might be if this Man is Riding a Horse or Pulling a Horse Trailer unplug your ears!
Really enjoyed this one. Thanks
this is fantastic. Kyle Brew of Australia also wrote a song called Marlboro Man. In his GemsOnVHS video of it he references this song, sadly, not Colten by name. Nice job fellas!
Love yalls style keep going
Everything about this is perfect
I CANT!!!!! 🔥
That man can sing…. It is almost healing. I love this so much. This song, his voice, the guitar ❤HEAVEN ❤
The real deal.
Damn Dave - it sounds like you were there at the Battle of the Greasy Grass. You sure put us listeners there! Thank you, Sir for such a powerful story and song.
Silence of the animals and people being gone where they once were bustling. Good night. That’s a sound that’s hard to be around.
Beautifully written. Some Don McLean vibes here.
Thats a pretty cool neighbor.
AND HES CANADIEN ❤❤❤❤❤
Not sure what’s up with the audio, but I love it. Feels very old school, with the music style to match. Still waiting on the day Kellen is a household name, just a matter of time
Canada Cash!
you can't release something and call it unreleased
Dave it the greatest
I never was a big country fan (more into rock and metal) but recently got into Sturgill Simpson. A few recommendations from some friends and here I am.
Great song.
Met him at the feed store when he was a teenager. My wife said I know Jimmy, I think he plays the violin. ......Ahhh pretty sure that would be a fiddle. Love the song. Good luck with your music.
WOW glad I found this channel Colter Wall then CORB wow wow
the intro cracks me up, hes doin "the voice" hahah
Hate to say this but the mix is bad on this, sounds like it's coming through a cardboard tube. Needs a notch EQ or something. Cool song though!
Love it!
Please someone tab the intro!
Corbs a killer, always has been 10/10 album
One of my favorite tracks off my favorite project I heard last year. Killer album man 🙏
Love the song. I'm a sucker for good acoustic music. Love the Taylor also. I play a 314CE on my channel, Burlington Bill. Keep up the great work.
The wolf is my favorite wild animal.
Real deal this is it
Every time there’s an opportunity to mention a backslash I now do just like colter 😂
Nobody does it as good as Whitley but this is about as close as it can get lol
Great job Mattie! Dig it. Recordings are getting much better Dusty.
Awesome 👏
Awesome!
Was really hoping this would be on his new album. So disappointing!
I need this on a regular basis.. cleans the shit out of my brains.. God bless brother.. peace
just saw Colter in Montgomery AL, best concert ive been to by far, it was so surreal
Kody sounds like Tom Petty and is reminiscent of Chris LeDoux. Count me as a new fan. ❤
Every time I hear Colter sing I am blown away. My mind imagines Sam Elliott in a movie cowboy scene. I hear Colter saying beef it’s what’s for dinner. His voice just so stereotypical of what I imagine a cowboy’s voice should sound like.
Heck of a tune pard! Keep it up amigo 🤙🏽
Dang man...thats one of the best real cowboy songs I've heard in a while. Just awesome!
Best choice for an opener on colter walls tour
Can't wait
If my grandpa wouldve made it to see this new wave from people like him i think he wouldve had some hope in where the industries headed
