I wanted to show everyone how well this mower cuts and how well it mulches with my homemade quick chute! I haven’t had a chance to mess with the belt tensioner but it needs to be adjusted so it doesn’t squeak when I cut the pto on.

@@victorelizalde333 lot of different factors like what what kind of equipment you have, how many guys you have working with you on the job, and what the market in your area is. For me $100-$120 is a good price. It took us around 30-40 min

Does your revolt sd have a slight squeaking noise at idle coming from the main spindle? If so is it normal? I got a brand new SD 0 Hours still & its got a slight squeak to it at idle.
@@arcajay2157 that’s weird mine does not have a slight squeaking noise. I would definitely recommend taking it to your dealer and seeing if they can fix it. With it being a brand new mower, it will still be under warranty.
@@russelllawnmaintenance123 took it in, they said it’s completely normal. Since its “new”. They tensioned the belts & spray wd40 on the spring but noise is still there.

Is this the SD 34? I almost just bought one as my first mower for a one man business but apparently the SD is the residential model, do you know if thats true?
@@elevan009 this is a revolt 48. The sd is considered the more residential affordable mower in their lineup

@@elevan009 I still run it every day commercially. We haven’t had any issues with it this far and I’ve been very happy with the mower
@@russelllawnmaintenance123 I bought it and tested it out on my lawn. i left about 5 ruts and kept popping wheelies on it and almost fell off a couple times. These zero turns are tough at first

I'm eyeing up the 54" hoping it's good on hills. How has your experience been on hills with the revolt? Are you using the Reaper tires or Tweels?

I'm ordering the 34 inch Revolt SD for next spring and the ACS is going to be pre-installed. By the way, if you want a good cupholder, just buy about a 6 inch length of 4 or 6 inch pvc pipe, put and end cap on it, and attach it where the drink holder is. It will even hold those ridiculous Stanley cups when you finally convince your wife to mow the yard now and then!

I've been looking at the Bad Boy Revolt for a little while now. It doesn't look like there's much it can't handle, and I love the fact that I can get one small enough to fit through a regular gate. I'm not doing commercial work so it should last me a lifetime! The dealer is bringing one over next week for me to try out on our yard, and as long as it doesn't kill me I'll probably buy one.

How's that mower? Can it do 100 lawns a week and be reliable?
Good question! It has been very reliable for me so far. As much as I love it I wouldn’t pick this for my only mower if I was doing 100 lawns a week. It’s a little slow ground speed wise and it’s not a full blown commercial stander (the regulars revolts are and I would recommend one of them instead for that many lawns). This mower is perfect for 50 or less lawns a week or as a secondary mower and gate getter.
Looks like a decent mower. I've always used exmark 48in turf tracers and between 52-60in exmark Lazer Z riders. Yea it stinks in the spring when I'm doing 6 houses together and it totals about 3 acres and have to run over it 3-4x. Blowing out that much land is pretty ridiculous lol.
Absolutely agree with you man! I’ve never run a turf tracer but I used to love my old lazer z. Now I run a few John Deere z930m and these BadBoy stand ons
Literally impossible with an oil filter wrench. Need to use a socket type

I only have the 34 SD. My other revolt is a 48 and it is not an SD model. One of my best friends bought a 42 and he loves it!

Great video. Picked up a 34 Revolt SD last week and installed the Quick Chute last night. Easy install. What model Ballard Gold Blades did you end up going with? There is a Gold High Rise and a Gold Hybrid? I'm just a homeowner I have a well maintained 1/2 acre lot so I'm looking for the cleanest/neatest cut. Thanks
That’s awesome! The quick chute will be so handy for you. I got the gold hybrid. I notice that it cuts the clippings into finer pieces than the blades that come on the mower. It will vary between the different types of grass and height of cut between regions. I do know if you want to stripe your grass than you should get the high rise blades because they have more suction
So I got the ACS and was able to get it on my RevoltSD 34” in just under an hour. I didn’t think to take the pad off till I went to reattach the cup holder 😂. The blades I got weren’t bad boy mulching blades so I’m probably going to get the Ballard gold rippers. Can’t wait to give it a whirl tomorrow!
That’s awesome man! Glad you were able to get yours installed. Those stock BadBoy blades cut great too as long as they’re sharp
@@russelllawnmaintenance123 got to use the ACS for the first time today, definitely a worthy upgrade! I also sat on my first rock and spun the blades on it like King Arthur 😩, thankfully they don’t look messed up (and I’ve got that spare pair 😂) I have to order the Ballard gold mulch blades. I didn’t realize the 34” had essentially a mulch deck underneath her.

Do you find the Kawasaki struggling? I get into some areas where the grass is 8 to 10 in high and my small 8.5 horsepower walk behind really bogs down. I have the opportunity today, when I go pick up my blades from my mower shop, to get a 42-in SD for 5k, brand new. I only mow part-time, maybe 10- 15 yards a week, at the most. Wondering how well those Hydro 2800s would be?
I’ve sure been a fan of mine! When the grass gets that tall especially if it’s wet it’s going to bog down most any mower. Mine has a 34in deck so I’m cutting a little less with the same hp and I haven’t had any issues with it. My buddy has the 42in and he cuts overgrown yards all the time and doesn’t have any issues either

Gotta order the shoot and the new blades. Figure I’d stick with the baby to maintain warranty integrity for now. Hope they come out with more accessories like a front dethacther. Do you plan on chute bagging at all? Would a chute bagger work with the ACS?

@@russelllawnmaintenance123 already ordered the ACS and blades 😂 did both neighbors lawns with it yesterday, absolutely an amazing machine. Both lawns done in just under an hour and then I was able to focus on a good trimming (lots of nooks and crannies and rocks)

I wonder if they changed transmissions, website says "2800 HYDRO-GEAR® 10CC INTEGRATED TRANSAXLE" now and up to 9mph.
The website is wrong I’m pretty sure. I had another guy ask the same thing but mine and my buddies are both around 5-6mph
@@russelllawnmaintenance123 ah dang, that is a little disappointing then. Maybe I'll look at the Revolt models with the 3100/3400 transaxles then.
Yeah I cut very nice and Thick Fescue. I just have to cut it twice
I gotcha! You might try out the new Ballard gold hybrid mulching blades!
And just get a funnel or flex-funnel to have to oil pan outside the deck area, but I understand sometimes ya just don't feel like grabbing one lol

Hmm, I might pick up a 42", how many hours do you have on it? Only thing I worry about is the 2800 hydrogear transmissions, not sure they'd last as long as the 3000 series the larger mowers use.
Also, do you find you often need to double cut lawns? Looks like it cuts well and double cut is just to mulch up the longer clippings.
Wonder if I could put a catcher on the 42" model. Don't always need it, but would be nice.
I’m sure if they don’t make an adapter plate for these that it wouldn’t be hard to make one. I’m unsure if they have them or not though
@@russelllawnmaintenance123 ah alright, and definitely could make one, concerned if it would wear out the deck/lift mechanism, but I'll have to look into it.

Just got My 34 today, mowed in the rain today and still didn't want to hear off of it! . Can't wait to get it on my properties tomorrow, 100% recommend the adjustable chute!
That’s awesome man! We mowed in the rain yesterday as well. I hope you enjoy your new mower! The quick chute for this model of mower didn’t exist at the time of the video but I have a new video out where I installed one of the new adjustable quick chutes and we absolutely love it!

Yes I sure am! We had to make some adjustments. I can make a video on it if you’re still having that issue
