#selfrelianceoutfitters #pathfinder #illinois PICK ONE UP HERE! www.selfrelianceoutfitters.com/products/100-wool-blanket Today I did a test with the Self Reliance Outfitters Pathfinder Brand 100% Virgin Wool Blanket. I looked at how well the blanket was able to insulate me using only my body heat while wet. I measured the ambient temperature to begin with then took 15 minute readings from insid...

#camping #überleben #illinois I did a quick channel update and where we've been and what we've been up to. I also took a quick look at a twig stove by Uberleben and got to try out my cold handle skillet and Civil War Era cutlery for the first time. #drilltime #101010 #shootingdrills Today we did a modified version the classic 10 10 10 drill. Ordinarily, you would draw and fire 10 rounds, from 10 yards, in 10 seconds. We decided to eliminate the drawing portion and do this drill one handed. We each did one volley strong hand side and one volley weak hand side. Check it out and try it out. Let us know how you do! #drilltime #shootingdrills #20alpha Today we tried out another drill that's new to us called 20 Alpha. The objective is to shoot a total of 20 rounds in 5 round volleys into the A Zone of your target. The par time for each volley is 3 seconds from the draw (very fast). After all volleys are complete, average your time before assessing your target. This drill aids in drawing from the holster, si...

#boxdrill #shootingdrills #ps_patriots Today we tried out the Box Drill. The box drill is a 6 round course of fire where you fire two rounds into the torso of the first target, two rounds into the torso of the second target, perform a headshot on the second target, then transition back to the first target to end the course of fire with a headshot. #Collateral #DrillTime #ShootingDrills Today Lewis and I tried our hand at the Collateral Drill. This drill was popularized by the movie Collateral starring Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise. The drills begins with you drawing your weapon from concealment and from retention, firing two rounds into the abdominal area of the first target. FATF.
I ordered mine over a week ago and still havent even gotten any tracking info or anything. Sounds like you were lucky to get it so fast!
@Jmart4950 that's unusual because I've seen nothing but positive responses to their customer service. Shoot him an email and I'm sure he'll get back with you within a day.
@@prairiestatepatriots yeah I did. He did respond but told me there is no update and that they make them custom to order.. hopefully I get tracking info soon
@Jmart4950 I hope so man I'm sorry your order is delayed but it'll be worth the wait.
Kimber hands down is the best 1911 ever made I've had bottom to top tier 1911s and kinber custom 2 is best 8 round mags hands down
@@vapestar3705 I've been quite happy with it. Beautiful and functional.
@prairiestatepatriots out of all the sidearms I've owned including 1911s I've been Mos pleased with kimber and springfield
👍 🇺🇸
Got one on 2016 and for me one of the best sub compact pistols. Never had a issue whit it and dont remember having a mis fire. It is definitely great.
Thanks for watching!

Thanks. Love shotgun videos
Thank you for watching!
Great video and shooting brother, I have the full size duty model in 9mm great gun for the money. Take care and stay safe.
I had two of these. The second was a warranty replacement for the first, because it could not be made to run reliably, thanks to the repeated failures to extract. The second, I didn't just get serviced with parts from Cylinder & Slide, I sent it _to_ Cylinder & Slide (the first had gone as well). What was found to be wrong with both guns was that the cam pin was out of spec -- just a few thousandths of an inch out of its proper location, but that was causing the slide to unlock too early, when chamber pressures were still too high, and the extractor couldn't hold onto the rim of the cartridge. I sent the second gun back to Springfield for warranty repair, and it came back functioning, but C&S found that the "fix" was frankly something of a band-aid; it didn't really correct the underlying problem. Springfield had inserted a short metal pin into the center of the extractor spring. This "locked" the extractor in place (not truly locked, as there was still _some_ travel left in the extractor, but it was now limited). This did prevent the extractor claw from slipping off of cartridge rim, and ejection became reliable. But the problem -- that the barrel was unlocking too early, when chamber pressures were still too high -- wasn't truly cured. By forcing the extractor to hang onto a cartridge that was still being held so tightly against the chamber walls, you're putting a lot more stress on the extractor, and on the roll pin that holds it in, than these parts were designed to take. They are almost sure to fail at some point, and sure, those are easily replaceable parts, but still... Being as I wanted to carry the gun, I didn't feel good about doing so with this issue. So, I got an old .40S&W Belgian-made Hi Power, and a 9mm Bar-Sto conversion barrel, and sent it off to C&S for some custom work, including a trigger job with their improved sear lever. That gun has functioned flawlessly, is incredibly accurate, is drop safe (the SA-35 follows the Hi Power's original design, and has no firing pin safety), and now as a trigger as good as the SA-35's, even though it still has a magazine disconnect. And this one can shoot an unlimited amount of +P ammo without causing undue wear.
Looks great. I though for sure you'd have to sand the back side for them to install. I've been trying to figure out a way to make a picture as a backing and to then make clear epoxy grips on top of that, so you can turn any picture into grips. Would like to make some custom grips for someone I know. She's doing a Nightmare Before Christmas colored themed Cerakote and it would be nice to be able to make some nice matching grips.
That would be awesome!
I enjoyed the video. My only suggestion is that you guys should both speak in the beginning. Having one dude quiet for a few minutes feels awkward.
That's just how we roll.
Try a p322 ,,, kick all those 3. I have mp and tx also
We've already done videos on the p322. These were specifically requested. Thank you for watching.
I have both the Frontier and Pure and Simple blankets, the latter is the Pathfinder version just without their logo. The Frontier blanket has a very dense weave which surprised me because the Pure and Simple blanket's weave is a bit looser. I think I prefer a looser weave because it seems to trap more warm air. Would be interested on your thoughts between the two. I also have the Italian Air Force military blanket and I think it is the warmest, fluffiest blanket that I own, but it's only a twin size.
Thank you for watching.
Just an update, i asked on instagram for a Rhodesian Camo print and within 24 hours they had it live. Absolutely awesome small business. Im still using them without fail. They have a ton of light bearing options and quick shipping.
I can kind of appreciate the idea of having multiples of stuff you already have on your person in your bag in case you happen to be with someone else so that way you can help them out. But you got to ask yourself how realistic or likely that specific scenario is. Because if it's not too realistic the at that point that's just unnecessary weight in your pack. I also really think you need to have a water filter and/or a sill cock key. I understand that your intention is to get out of dodge quickly but you never know if or when you may need to gather more water. Just something that's better to have and not need than need and not have but then that's just me. And just a small side note I'd like to make about the socp dagger, understand it is not exactly a fighting knife but rather more of a get off me knife. For example if you are about to go for your gun but the person who's attacking you gets a little too close ideally you would be able to draw that dagger and hit them however many times it takes to get them to back off, basically make some room, then draw.
Thank you for watching.
Great video.
Thank you!
I have several of their holsters and im here to say they are top notch quality and the owner Kevin is a great guy who appreciates his customers
100% man he was great to speak with.
Sick test!
Thank you!
Pulling away while shooting my Ks7 really jams my left thumb. Much more comfortable not doing it this way. Maybe ill have slightly more recoil but much less pain.
Whatever works best for you man. Thank you for watching!
Just bought an IWB from them for my HC Pro, look forward to trying it out.
Awesome!
Yo, you dont see many illinois boys oddly enough, stuck behind enemy lines with yall. good stuff.
Appreciate it man. Thanks for watching.
The tx2x2?
Nice review, guys. I have bought 3 OWB holsters from Muddy River and love them. And like you mentioned, great customer service. When I have had to email them with questions, I got a response back form Kevin within 10 minutes most of the time.
I’ve got two of there holsters and absolutely love them
awesome video and great explanation 🙏
We're glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
Nice!

No, you're wrong. The 1911 has been popular since 1910
No idea what you're referring to, but ok.
I am very excited to have mine soon
Awesome!
Thank You! I've not heard of the pulling wth the other arm, I can understand where it would give some help.
Thank you for watching!
That’s surprising. The Wilson mag is the only one that has ever made my kimber malfunction
I used the Wilson mags several times in various 1911's since we made this video and I've not had any problems with them.
@@prairiestatepatriots I guess it’s just my gun. The kimber mag ran fine, the chip mags have all run fine. I occasionally get a failure to feed on one the last few rounds in my Wilson mag. Might just be that particular mag too.
@thafoehammer143 could be. I number my range mags so I can keep track of problematic equipment
I want this knife but they are still asking for over $200 for it on Blade HQ which is insane. I would be so tempted to sharpen the top swedge on this. Seems like it would pierce objects perfectly with a sharpened top swedge.
No doubt. It's a bit pricey but it's solid man.
@@prairiestatepatriots Great channel by the way. Subbed !!
@BigDaddyPapSmear69 thank you man we appreciate the support
Well done video guys. Always refreshing to see a 'mature' presentation, rather than juvenile profanity and other "fluff" that many others "feel" the need to add . Liked and subscribed.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching
I have one of the earlier versions and had extraction problems. I sent it back to Springfield, they changed out some parts and it’s run flawlessly ever since. Also the turn around time was very quick.
That's awesome!
Shit can the music.. i tuned out after a minute.. whew
Awesome
Mmmmm…not sure why theres a giant shit being taken on one of the most popular and reliable ammos on the market…if anyone has done proper research into SA35 reviews, its a huge problem on SA’s manufacturing line, not Winchester’s.
It was simply pointed out that out of the munitions tested, that was the only on that showed a pattern of unreliability in this specific pistol.
meh... interesting personal opinions and nice shooting, but anyone can pick apart a perfectly good gun for lots of reasons. I shot them all in six months of rental testing before I settled on the M&P .22 Compact. yeah the trigger is a bit long, but it didn't affect my shooting, and it ate every brand I put i it. The Glock did not. The Ruger SR-22 has a backwards safety from what I'm used to, the H&K did not like some ammo either. The Taurus jammed. Only the S&W did not fail, even when very hot and dirty - no matter what ammo I used. I think all the guns are pretty darned good, actually. It's the ammo that can suck with .22LR. Even very good ammo like CCi can have squibs and missing primer. It's the gun that can handle it that counts, and I went with the M&P. So, that's my persoanl anecdotal opinion - as good as any, I guess.
You went the right one then!
Антифу всю под нож до единого
Excellent demo…
Thank you for watching!
Learned absolutely nothing that I didn't already know and confirmed for the umpteenth time that your music background just sucks.
My extractor broke and the safety is mushy but the gun is very accurate.
this is literally stockless shotgun technique, you really get good at recoil control when shooting those else get punched by your main hand every time.
Fun fact... Before I had much time with a shotgun, I learned the hard way what a pistol grip only 12 ga. tasted like. It luckily didn't knock my teeth out. It was definitely a lesson learned the hard way in my younger years. Thank you for watching!
Just got a brand new fns 9 as a home gun not really my first choice but this seems to be about the only video on it in 10 years
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
A have a Taurus 1911 and a Remington 1911 I love them both
