Curious: What is Your Impression of this mixer now that you've had it for a while? Does the WIFI work around town or did you have to get an external router? You know, I really think genre is a big part of this. IME, almost every gig can be done with a DI. A comp is 2nd on the list. Then a drive. But… Sound Tribe Sector 9 ain’t showin’ up with just a DI. My funk band requires a BOATLOAD of effects - like, I bought a Source Audio C4 because I ran out of DSP blocks on my HX Stomp XL for a _SINGLE TONE_ for one portion of one song and didn’t have room for any of my pre/amp/cab sim or any kind of dry/parallell processing. And frankly, it still needed a couple layers of reverb and delay and chorus. But, the meat and potatoes of my playing? Bass->comp(Y’s from here)<_di^-amp

Nice review. I have the same as well as a second Neo IV 212 and a Fusion S 800. I shouldn't have bought the second cab. There is no real need for a second cab because that cab is loud as hell. I'm liking the Legacy 800 better than the Fusion S right now but I flip back and forth. I think the Legacy is snappier.

What a great way to explain it. I'm a guitar player that does a lot of home studio recording and I've always played a 4 string bass, but I'm writing songs that would really benefit from a 5 string. As you indicated, most of the time it's just a single note or two that really adds that next-level factor. We know it as musicians and non-musicians know it because of what they hear! (lol) One of my favorite concerts is Clapton with Nathan East on a 5 string. He puts that low end exactly where it needs to be. Anyway, sorry to ramble...great job and excellent explanation!

HS8 user here since 2007 :) one finally went bang and had to replace, Everyone says these are the best you can get for the price and I thought that but decided to try the Adam audio T8v's ...... and I feel stupid for keeping the Hs8's for so long. The T8V's are much clearer, so much detail, separation. Bass is clearer, it's still balanced. I honestly can't recommend anyone buy the HS8's anymore. It's like someone's pulled cotton wool out of my ears and I can hear again. and they are a similar price!

Great video... I'm in the market for a new Head/Cab, using a Trace Elliot ELF Head w/2x8" cab. I mainly play at home these days; but looking for something different with more tone options/EQ. I've decided to go with the GK Fusion 800S 800 Watt amp (400 Watt at 8 Ohm, 800 Watt at 4 Ohm)...... I'm trying to decide between these cabs: One GK NEO 2x10" 500 Watt Cab (8 Ohm) -OR- One GK NEO 2x10" 800 Watt Cab (either 4 or 8 Ohm).... I'm really looking for an amazing TONE over volume when at home........but may eventually start playing out later on. I currently play a Rickenbacker 4003S and a Dingwall John Taylor Sig bass. Any opinions, etc? THANKS SO MUCH! I'm still learning the ins/outs of head/cab configurations. ;)

The Adam T8V's heavy compete with the HS8's in fact in some songs they sound almost identical. Currently about £100 more for the HS8's, I think it's all personal preference, some hate the sound of each speaker sets for different reasons and are also loved and praised by others
