    I've worked for Schneider for almost 2 yrs now. It's not a bad job at all. Dispatch is there to help you but you're gonna learn a lot by yourself. A lot of drivers leave after they get comfortable but some come back. I myself have left and went to CR England and I came back to Schneider. Not saying CR England was bad but I prefer Schneider. The account I work for doesn't hound me and my Dispatch is very nice and helpful and they're there for you. If you are looking to get hands on experience without the pressure from someone constantly looking over your shoulder, then Schneider is the place to be. That's just my opinion. Someone else might say something different. They pay isn't great but you can get all the experience you want comfortably once you're on your own.

    Thanks Mike I spent 30 years in IT for fortune 500 company. I actually made very good money. But as you know IT is overwhelmingly stressful. Your locked behind a desk every day. I spent 23 years in a job that I absolutely hated. So I retired and now looking for something that gets me out of the house and seeing all the stuff I missed being chained to a desk. I've been working on my CDL and am seriously looking at Schneider for training. Thanks for your video!

    Do they let you have handsfree headphones

    • @TruckerMike-jb7tx
      @TruckerMike-jb7tx Год назад

      Here’s the deal on that. In training, absolutely not. Their policy is that hands free is still distracted driving, which I agree with, to a point. Beyond that, the FMCSA says you can, but only a “one button press” to answer/make calls. However, if you’re in an accident, or get a “critical event” (hard brake, etc..) and they find out, you may be called in for a conversation, or worse. I just got back from my training run, and I can promise you, that until you have some experience under your belt, you won’t WANT to have a headset unless you’re parked. There is so much to be focused on while driving, especially if you drive using Schneider’s S.M.A.R.T driving techniques. Add to that traffic in the bigger cities, construction on almost every highway/interstate, and your focus needs to be 100% on the road.

    • @AnthonyLagunas-yv6br
