A quick run through Dzemael Darkhold results in Batraal being converted from head demon to wet mop.
I've got a better idea for the name. I hereby christine this; Humankind's new homeworld: *_"Planet Cadia"._* Named in honour, of the Imperium's legendary fortress world.
Saw this movie once never found it again years later this is what it find 😮
Me (as a kid): "Bob is such a silly name. It's too goofy. It needs to be a COOL name." Me (as an adult): *Tears in my eyes* "Planet Bob. Is such a beautiful name. Only the best name. His dad would feel so proud of his son right now. And he'd feel so humbled having a planet named after himself. One that he worked so HARD to make possible for the sake of restoring humanity." *proceeds to eccentrically cry like BEN from Treasure Planet.*

New Earth is such a boring name, same with Earth, like oh you name your planet "dirt" how creative and inoffensive, yawn. Bob better represents the s*itpost nature of humanity.
Knowing how we humans operate, probably a huge chunk of New Earth's population will call it Bob for shits and giggles, later being serious about it and it will just confuse the hell out of alien races.
Have no CGI like now but still better at 2023.
It must be a real tears of joy moment for the human race coming towards their brand new home 🌏🌎🌍as if it never got blown up 🥲. I feel like quoting that *"After 15 long hard years of being homeless in space 🌌, things are now right as rain"* 🌧️
great ending, its also beautiful because you can tell all the budget ran out in the big cgi titan scene right before this

i suspect that is why they tried so hard for so long but unfortunately for them they don't know humans aren't the easiest to go down nor do we give up easily i mean kale could be summarized by so many who've come before him and many times he was doubting it all work out but from what i see there were supports of sorts and ofc the longing to complete what dear ole dad started and ultimately couldn't complete and left in kales hands but in the end he did surprisingly as well he didn't die then drej tho xD
Yeah, they were right, but it's not like they didn't deserve it anyways. They tried wiping out humans purely off the assumption they would try to destroy them one day. If they had kept shit cool, maybe humans would have just left them alone.
that's the problem, they let that fear turn to brutal acts of genocide, eventually they became the ones to fear by everyone else if they didn't cooperate, fear is the real thing to fear
I know this comment is old. But the way I see it, the Drej are hypocrites. They wanted to wipe out a species because they were afraid that a species of equal destruction as them would wipe them out. And it only became a self-fulfilling prophecy BECAUSE they choose to destroy humanity. If you want to ensure something horrible DOESN'T happen, don't set yourself up for it in the first place.
We watched this movie for a reward day back when I was in middle school, and we had one really gullible kid in my class that we convinced that this was an inside joke because Earth was originally supposed to be named Bob.
Teacher: and that's how planet BOB was made

I named my dog Bob after this scene....my Dad asked what's his name....I'm thinking....Bob.
Found out WHY the 3D landscape panoramic shot was bad looking. It was UNFINISHED. The studio wanted the movie out sooner than was intended and so the staff had to cut corners. Hate CRUNCH TIMES!
Personally I actually like the raw 3DCGI, it gives a sense of outer worldliness. Like a lot of renpy visual novels are made with pretty basic environment graphics but indie games with that kind of graphics has its own charm.
Well, realistically speaking, they probably needed to do some proper terraforming before Bob was habitable.
Most 3D looked like that at the time. Remember Shadow Raiders and Beast Wars?
@@toledini This is a movie with more available means of getting 3D tech. The execs just didn’t let them finish.
When I saw it as a kid, I was under the impression the world was still forming itself. There wasn't anything on it, and no real defining features because it was still being built. I figured making a whole new planet wouldn't be an instantaneous thing. Little did I know. The animator's just didn't get the time to finish the movie. XD Wah-wah.
This movie is truly underrated. Deserves more love.
I remembered that animated movie with good old days before, Very underrated and favorite movie all the time.
I've always laughed each time i hear them say planet Bob!! But then wouldn't akima be the queen of planet Bob???? Still makes me laugh!

The graphics on the ship are amaing at 0:52. I feel like the CGI spent all their budget on that and then at 1:01 just decided to load in "Ground.PNG" for the terrain.
At least it had a 3D effect
@GoTi4No well yeah because of how cgi is nowadays. Back then looked cool because it made you think that they drew those effects and make them move smoothly

It doesn't in any shape or form. It's purposefully stylized (clear lines, hand-drawn textures, high contrast lighting) to fit in more with the traditional cel animation.

This movies ship designs are better than starwars in my opinion

Ever since I was little and caught this on TV with my dad I fell in love with this movie. The animation, voice acting and overall designs are just so memorable!

I remember sitting on the couch with my dad watching this and he jokingly leant over to me and said “ I bet they name it bob” and it was like my child brain exploded and we practically died laughing 😂

I love how some of the continent’s and land masses are parts of old earth just mashed up together Like you can literally see east Africa and parts of Egypt and the sahara or Hainan and parts of China and south east Asia.
Maybe the TITAN can copy shapes of continents on earth while combining them in different ways? Humans would probably feel more at home, but most likely it's just to cut animation/artwork costs.
1:36 I love this final shot. All the human survivors flying to their new homeworld. A new planet. A new beginning. A future.
