The Werndl is really a sniper rifle in this game. Just take it slowly, hang back, and take your shots one at a time. It's great for the Mountaineer class.

With both Marmolada and the Ascent event, the newer Vertelli M1870 is rather similar to the Werndl, same damage but faster fire rate, and used by the Mountaineer and Marksman for Italy. I prefer the Werndl though, sights are just better. Great, simple video!

I'm not sure if my game is broken. I'm on the second Aurora Shores main mission (Sunkhead Coot) and haven't seen or heard even 1 Surf Scoter. Pisses me off so much. I went to all 3 of the locations the mission suggested. I restarted the game. I fast traveled back and forth. Nothing. They never show. So stupid

I've been using this gun in tannenberg and I am destroying my oponents. It just not fits all playstyle. It is more usefull for defensive/methodical style.

I play without harming the deers because that makes it really challenging. I like deer, but I also wish they'd make the more interesting, in my opinion they are broken, they are an easy source of food, they can be downed, you can chase them to be downed by another creature, it just really breaks the game. I hate how in all games they are made the exact same boring way. Ugh.

Very nice. I just bought a real Mauser 1914 pistol. It's a neat little gun.

I looked up the real life version of this rifle. It was a long-obselete rifle given to the rear-guard troops in the Austro-Hungarian army (the most disasterously performing major power in WWI). It was designed two years after the American civil war and saw limited action. This may be interesting as an experiment and for historical accuracy but this sounds extremely dumb to use in this game in this situation. And it sounds like this gun was just as impractical in real life as it is in this game. You're basically hauling around a breech-loading hunting rifle with a monster cartridge, limited range and no scope while everyone else has normal WWI rifles that are less difficult to use and only have slightly less stopping power. Which makes no difference because WWI and WWII rifles are gross overkill in stopping power in close quarters anyway. If this is what you had to rely upon in WWI when your trenches are being stormed, you're in trouble.

The good things and facts are: 1. Easy and quick way to level archery 2. the only way to kill more than one of these snow birds!!! - cause they don´t flee if you shoot another beside!!! 3. smithing is still necessary on interloper, cause you need a knife to craft them 4. they could break at the 1. use at any creature!!! - but you can be lucky to kill 3 small games with the same arrow, dependens on your luck!

Yeah, forget how bad he is at shooting. How about that ending.

i play on my gamer laptop that means pc version of long dark, and i made fire hardened arrow but the bow doesnt wanted to shoot them, coz the left mouse button doesnt wanted to shoot and the right mouse button either... how the heck i shoot with the bow, when not with left and right mouse button ???
