I have been simming for nearly 10 years but started my channel in September 2023, why? For beginners flight simming is very daunting with a steep learning curve. I learned a lot by watching channels like my very own so I am attempting to give back to the community. I really hope you enjoy my content and grow with me as the channel improves. do you have frame rate stats from your old pc
7950X3D eats the 7800X3D alive. Check the benchmarks. 7800X3D is good, but it has been usurped.
Need to see it with fake frame gen OFF. It's a total scam.

Could you do a video of RealTraffic + PSXT showing how it works and the amount of air traffic that it injects and any impact on performance - it would be greately appreciated thanks. FYI I am currently on a 3900X and 4070 with the intention to move o the 7800X3D this year.
Don't know if you addressed this in the video, but you need 48GB of ram for what you want. 32GB is not enough

Sid, can i ask you for help please. I have a high end system (4090 and one of the latest amd cpu) I can maintain steady 90fps with everything on ultra. It looks great but my gsx animations judder, as does my view when making my way to the runway. When im airborne its very smooth. My 4k tv is 60hz, i wonder if this is the issue. Any thoughts please?
Hello what setting are u using ? i have a 7800x3d n 4090 i get bad performace n stutters not what i was expecting with my setup

@@sidplays77 it is roughly working at 60-70% with very rare peaks to 75%. 4080 super would do that at half the price (working at 100%). Msfs is cpu limited and you are on a best cpu money can buy already. That 4090 would make sense only for VR in my opinion…
And frame generation is on, so no one knows what the real fps is.

This is very petty, and off topic, but I wish we would stop calling unnecessary expenses as “investment”. Nothing wrong with your purchase, assuming its within reason to your own financial situation, but it isnt an investment. Its simply an expense in our hobby

No lag whilst panning, super smooth :)

and this is at 4K. I am so upgrading my 5800X3D to 7800X3D. I have a 4090 and I wanna push it further. I'm greedy for more fps
I have the same cpu, gpu, 6000mhz ram, gig internet, 4k monitor etc etc. I can’t get anywhere near that. I could really use some help setting up this pc as it seems you have figured it out.
Hey there thanks for your comment, when you say "can't get near it" what do you get? Are your settings in sim same as mine? Something as simple as having TLOD above 200 will yield completely different results. Also I use Frame generation to boost FPS, make sure you are doing the same.
I have tried everything I can think of. I don’t even have the inibuilds jfk or Heathrow and it’s a stutterfest for me. Do you have multiplayer and live traffic on or just AI traffic. There are so many variables, I am just trying to find the correct variables. Thanks.

Just updated my PC a couple weeks ago from a 5900x to a 7800X3D, Aorus X670 Elite AX motherboard and 64 gigs of G.Skill 6000 @ cl-30 RAM, already had a 4090, the improvement in MSFS is impressive. I use a Reverb G2v2 VR HMD and use 100% resolution so roughly 3060 x 3192 per eye. With the MSFS VR presets set to either "high end" or "ultra", I get pretty much 20 or more fps over running the same thing with my old 5900x. I also sim race, ACC saw a pretty good boost in performance as well (normally a real pig in VR). Needless to say, I am impressed with the upgrade and no regrets. :) PS: just in case you don't know, look into AMD's Curve Optimizer, it's a under volt (I use -30 all cores) and can give you a faster boost speed while keeping the CPU running cooler. :) (There are many YT videos on how to do this, just look up 7800X3D curve optimizer).
Is OBS running on your simulator PC? Are you using OBS screen capture or a capture card? Im just trying to understand if the 7800X3D can handle all the background tasks im used to running on my sim (OBS, air manager, head tracking, navigation, etc.). I see you're around 34% cpu utilization. Im actually curious to see that broken out for each individual core if you find yourself doing another test video in the fiture. I'm interested to see if you have any cores sitting around relatively idle. Im really torn between the 7800x3D and 7900X3D. Thanks!
Hey there thanks for your comment. Nope I used Shadowplay part of the NVIDIA Geforce experience app to capture the video. I'm not doing any more performance videos at the moment I can't contribute to the channel at the moment due to life commitments but will be back soon! In reference to your question I'm pretty sure the 7800X3D + 4090 will be up to the task but this is just gut feel no science behind it.

i have a 7700x and a 4070ti 12gbvram with 32gb ddr5 ram at 5600mhz. MSFS runs full ultra with all online data at 55-65 fps with mild stuttering only in large 3d rendering areas. I just bought a 7800x3d, and upgraded to 64gb ddr5 6400mhz. hoping my stuttering goes to minimal to nonexistent. would love if i had the cash for a 4090.

Great videos Sid, thank you for sharing ! I've noticed you keep LOD around150-200. In your opinion, is there much that is lost from a visual experience point of view keeping the LOD at medium levels ? is the FPS impact too high even on your "monster" setup ? could you do a LOD tests video ? thank you !
Hey there thank you for watching! I can’t promise any LOD comparisons anytime soon. I’ve taken a break from doing any uploads because work and life getting in the way at the moment but I will be back soon! Terrain LOD is one of the biggest frame killers in the sim, remember at one point this slider was locked at 200 max and an Asobo update increased to 400. So 200 was max settings at one point. I don’t see any difference with the naked eye when this is maxed and there is too much trade off in performance so 150-200 is best for me. Object LOD is taxing on frames but nothing like TLOD and I typically have that setting maxed at 200. Hope this helps thanks for the question…

Hey there thanks for your comment! I switched because after careful research the 7800X3D was the best performing CPU for MSFS coupled with the 4090. My goal when building the rig was simply to get the best performance I could. It’s been 6 months since my build and everyday use has been stellar. I’m so happy with this build and it’s future proof for quite sometime. I’ve done another performance video which is a bit more detailed. Nope not at all......but I don't think CPU speeds have much to do with boot up time. This is more associated with what type and speed of drive you have the operating system installed on. My OS is installed on a dedicated NVME drive, my specs are in the description of the video.

Funny, my 1080p performance is the same.... So I'm guessing I'm severely CPU limited... I'm probably gonna have the same frames at 4K (7800X3D and 4090 ASUS with 64 6000 CL30 RAM). I do have terrain cranked up, and Object LOD cranked up, and cockpit refresh rate cranked up too.

First of all, thank you for this wonderful video. I live near Málaga btw. A few questions. I am also trying to record my flights but haven't been very successful because of the limitations of the tools available. What tool are you using for cabin and outside shots? That really looked great. Can you recommend the LEMG scenery? I wonder if you have tested the AFCAD in the scenery because it is sometimes broken and AI traffic cannot move or gets stuck on the runway and stuiff like that. Thanks.
Thank you for your awesome feedback, really appreciate it. I use Shadowplay (part of GeForce Experience) for NVIDIA Graphics card to record the gameplay. I also use Flight Sim Control Replay tool to capture other cinematic shots in combination with the drone cam within the Simulator. Yes I can highly recommend the LEMG scenery, link is in the description of the video. Regarding AFCAD, at the time of typing I'm sure I've seen AI traffic moving around the airport.

Hey thanks for your comment! I use the Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas Flight stick + Throttle. Not cheap but highly recommended! Spent years with the (plastic) Saitek yoke, did the job but if you want precision and quality its gonna hurt your pockets somewhat.

how do you get the FA sounds such as safety briefing?
Hello thank you for watching really appreciate it! Two ways, firstly the safety sounds you hear are from the Virtual Ryanair ACARS app, I fly with their Virtual airline. Second way is to download the sounds from a RUclips video using a download converter.

Are you a pilot irl? If not, was it hard learning everything like how to setup the plane and route etc as a beginner?
Hey thanks for watching. I’m not a real pilot! I started simming about 10 years ago and it takes a lot of practice, learning reading and watching to get up to speed. Let me tell you it might look difficult but it’s not really, there is a steep learning curve especially if you want to fly the big jets. My advice would be start small in a single engine GA aircraft and work your way up. RUclips is your best friend, tons of videos online to help you along the way. Hey thanks for your comment appreciate that! Which part are you referring too? All the editing is done with a dedicated video editing program, nothing to do with the CPU.

No my friend, this is Microsoft Flight Simulator :) Hope you enjoyed it!!
Running a 4070. Never have much concerned myself with FPS overall. Have ran a few minor tests just for some initial setup, but as long as we arent getting stutters etc, Im okay with it. Almost always fly either the femix or pmdg, and only 3rd party airports. Have well over 100 custom airports, and just enjoy the graphics much better. Run FSRealistic, FSTraffic, Tobii eye tracker, FS Chatter, FS2Crew, and some others. Run settings high and ultra. Overall havent noticed any significant issues.
Yep can’t go wrong with the 40 series in my opinion!
