This was after they did the reno. There are still some goodies to be found if you hunt and are lucky, but yes, overall the pricing has gotten pretty high and I don't see it being sustainable for a thrift store long term either! People definitely don't buy as much or they wait for the sale days which impacts inventory turnover and ultimately profitability. I still like this store but it's more "for me" shopping now, and I don't come out with bags full like I used to!

The bell was super cool! I was honestly surprised at how reasonably it was priced too. Brass has a tendency to get priced up around here. The glazing on the elephant is so unique. I thought it was cool how they highlighted the tusks! ☺️💖

Hi Nichelle! You mean the divided ones on the bottom shelf? They're fondue plates! At least that's what I've always known them as. ☺️ They were big during the fondue craze of the 60s/70s and were for keeping things separate on the plate. Sauces, different dippers etc... I want fondue now. 😆💖 I still have to open up the ephemera! I'm filming it tomorrow.

She was a cool piece! I haven't found good Hornsea in a long time. I'm sure someone snapped it up!

Oh, that makes sense about the inventory. They do seem to get some choice items there! It's awesome knowing that there's someone else locally who's drawn to the same things. I was honestly surprised at the resale on the bottle opener! I'm glad I looked it up, though for $.99 I was getting it anyway. 😁 I've never found that brass hook before and the price was great, IMO. And the linens, not what I was expecting at all in that box! My fave were the baking powder tins though. So rustic and shabby! 😊

So true! I did contemplate getting the Pyrex for myself because I rarely find them in as nice shape, but couldn't justify a $25 personal buy on it right now. The teacup was beautiful! Not a ton of resale on that brand but for $4, someone will be thrilled to find it. I broke the last teacup I tried to use personally. I must not be dainty enough for them! 😆 And unique scarf clips are one of my favorite jewelry pieces to find. People often overlook them, and the molded glass on this one is fabulous. I have quite a few pieces - including jugs; gravy boats; cream & sugar; small plates and bowls. Such a nice soft colour - easy to mix & match with other china. Really enjoyed your video - nice to see someone local checking things out ! I just picked up a beautiful Medalta Pottery lamp from the Sally Anne in View Royal. Perfect shape with a gorgeous turquoise/greenish glaze. Love it !

It's definitely unusual to see such a large collection of matching dishware. It does make the mind wonder why it's there but I think we both know it'll find a loving home! Sounds like you have quite the collection yourself and what a score on the lamp! 😍 The View Royal location is honestly so great. Sometimes there are amazing scores, other times a total bust. Yes! Definitely could be an aquarium accent. My daughter loves stones and seashells so it was a must have for her room! I also have pieces from when my parents lived in the Bahamas years ago. ☺️💖

@@zenkatvintage I always had fresh water aquariums growing up but my buddy had salt water and had pieces just like that in his aquarium scape with the shells so it’ll stand up in the substrate. You should maybe video the charity shops out in Sidney too, there’s several out that way along the strip just off beacon that I’ll go to when out that way
