Orcs Must Die 3 Review
Orcs Must Die 3 is a third-person cooperative tower defense game without the towers. Instead, you have an arsenal of traps you can use to set up diabolical combinations of death-dealing hazards that would even make Jigsaw blush underneath his creepy mask.

Death Roads Tournament Review

Death Roads: Tournament essentially turns Mad Max into a deck-building game, and I feel like that idea deserves an award on its own. What's particularly impressive is that Death Roads is not simply Slay the Spire with cars. It's a very unique deck-building game that plays off of its vehicular combat theme in really novel ways. I think that when hideo said it was a brand new genre he didn't mean it in a condescending artsy way but in the sense that you have to really give it a chance and reach chapter 3 to see if it "clicks" with you, it can be a game where you just deliver packages and optimize cargo but there's so much more to play with, so many game mechanics and systems - and the idea of connecting with other players and helping each other out has never been done on this scale with this budget before, its a very solitary and introspective game

Dude you’re crying about nothing here cause many of the abilities listed were in the game day one so I’m sure Kojima had no issue with any of it. You just made a clickbait video to try & crap on a game you claim to like over mechanics you claim to dislike. Huh?

This was an interesting review for me as while I totally get your point, for me it's quite the opposite, actually. OK, sure - I wouldn't have minded even more aspects or more power cards, but other than that new spirits are what I want out of an expansion. New rule concepts would just bloat the deep base game concept, but spirits are always fun.

Yeah, maybe the game is bloated for you, sure. I disagree and think your take on having more elements for even greater replayability and variety isn't going to fly with most who love the game. Nature Incarnate extends the lifespan of the game with more spirits, more powers, more elements in general. Good stuff.

I appreciate your video and I unterstand your point and why you feel that way, but I personally feel quite the opposite about this expansion. I will get my copy probably in two months and me and my friends are very excited about it. I'm actually really glad that they focus on releasing new spirits and only one new game mechanic (incarna, and honestly I didnt really need that one), because for me and a lot of people I played with, this has always been the most exciting part of the game - trying out new spirits and combinations and seeing what theme they have and how it is transfered into a game mechanic. I am far away from being a pro player, I have my copy of the base game + JE, B&C and F&F for a few years but startet to play the game more regular a few weeks ago with a group that I can play the game atleast once a week and since I have the horizon spirits who I absolutely adore. I mostly play intermediate spirits and only a few more complex ones so far, so you're right that it will take quite some time before most people will even touch a lot of these really high complex spirits. But beside the behemoth and the sun spirit who dont seem to be that difficult, the most exciting part of this expansion are the new aspects for me. I absolutely love having new ways of playing the old spirits and adding some more depth to them. There were some aspects in the previous expansions but they really seem to hit the spot with the NI aspects (like Tangles, Sparking, Violence, Transforming and even Dark Fire 🙂). So I still think this expansion could be enjoyable for different people like the ones, who want to try some more really high complex spirits and for people like me, who mainly just want their old spirits with a new spin. I'm even fine with not having a lot more power cards, because the minor power deck is already hugh as hell. But I can totally agree that the base game and the minor expansions or the base game and Jagged Earth are enough for quite some time and that the new aspects if only interested in them, won't justify another 50 bucks to spend, thats a fair point, still.

you ruined this game for me, was having fun, but now realised most of the joy I found in the game was from bypassing and not engaging with the game mechanics, that is I always hold LT RT when I walk down slopes and I love using roads to pass through a dangerous area. After hearing what you said, yeah, that is just stupid design, by making things convenient, they sucked the joy out of playing the game. I also found building road with online players rewarding, but as you said, that is just too overpowered to the point where I am just holding down my left stick and not thinking at all

Making previously hard things being easy is really one of the best parts of them game and its a really good rewarding mechanic The roads are really making you more immersed vis a vis the whole "rebuilding American thing" A lot of aspects are hard in the game, you just have to find a way to get to them. If you are carrying a lot of cargo you can't really carry anything else as "weapons" and such. This really makes the game hard, because you have to often choose what you carry. BTs are meant to be sneaked easily past Holding the "two buttons" isn't really that OP as you advertise it; if you are carrying a bomb and Sam goes through rocky terrain he needs to train more stopping strength. A lot of mechanics I just don't use because they are often not needed Yet again online really helps immersion and its a really good rewarding mechanic when you help other people when you yourself build different roads, ziplines, ladders and such. Trying to avoid BT territory really makes the game harder as of the hard terrain most times. P.S. Please can someone tell me how can I transfer my save files to Death Stranding Director's cut on PS5 If i had previously played Death Stranding on PS5 :D

For my expirience playing on 9 and 10, this is not true. There are definitely times where you just have to wing it, and it can even be super effective. For example when 3 bile titans come out of a breach and your teams heavy armour duty stratagems are on cooldown, you have to kite them. Also, with max movement speed armour you can kite any enemies besides big stalkers indefinitely. Even titans, they will never get you, if you time your dives right. So why wouldn't you do this? Also when you complete an objective, and the next one is far away, you can loose any enemies that were chasing you if you break LOS, this can take care of hundreds of enemies, without killing a single one. Of course you cannot only run, there are gonna be too many enemies sooner or later, I found a middleway of fighting and running to be most effective. Basically, I only try to fight if the hordesize is managable, or if it's to protect teammates doing an objective, or the alerted enemies will follow to the objective. Anything far out from an objectivr it's usually the best idea to just outrun and break LOS. Holding can very easily get you in an endless cycle of breaches and patrols coming in.

Lmfao that part about dialing back the clifford section's difficulty is hilarious to me. On my fourth playthrough, i enjoyed fighting him using hit-and-run tactics. Makes me feel like snake once more. As for my current run, im going lethal weapons only, (The sticky gun doesnt count as a weapon in my mind, so thats good) As a challenge. Aside from grenades, im running with all lethal options, and in each BT fight i refuse to pick up the anti-bt weaponry except in mandatory fights. As for the l and r trigger usage, i mitigate that to a last resort (i.e. only using it for the antimatter bomb run) your list of challenges dont make me worry for anything other than your willingness to show off your gatekeep-y style of prclaiming there's a roght way to play a game in the first place.

Nothing from what you mentioned made the game less fun for me. I also played twice, the second time I also had rules: always avoid BT territories if possible (utilizing timefall shelters e.g. or alternative routes); use a different route when playing story missions than my first playthrough; reduce zip-line dependency and use trikes and vans more often (I built a full zip-line network in my first playthrough); always stealth clear a camp (which is kind of not optional because of Very Hard, I also cleared a camp only using catapults). The fun part of the game is planning the optimal routes and building structures as setups for orders, you don't have to turn into a masochist who needs to make walking miserable or rejects other people's structures to feel challenged.

    - Most of the spirits in this expansion are a welcome addition. Some are awesome, some are good, some are uninteresting to me (just like the previous expansion). There are never enough spirits. - They didn't add more cards because it will delude the minor powers deck - they'll need to change the rules about Minor powers if they were to add more. - While adding Incarna to other spirits seems cool, some of the Incarna they added here are atrocious. (Looking at you Thunderspeaker. Lure Incarna isn't that good either). So I don't think that would be a good addition overall.

Actually quite like this game. The main progression comes from leveling the traits on the guns but is a bit of a grind. Ive dipped my toe into co-op with a friend and found that when he hosted his under leveled traits made the game noticeably harder. He also tended to play extremely carefully and slowly whereas I played fast almost never stopping movement. Interestingly, he's beaten the last boss while I have not. The mid-game twist blew my mind. Since I knew nothing about the game going in, I thought I was at the end of the game. One other thing to mention is that the haptic feedback on the controller feels amazing. It was just too difficult for the noobs. But personally I enjoyed what I played. And we only tried for a few hours, I think. Lesson learned: Look for friends that aren't noobs!

(might be interesting that with the same set of players we got a lot farther in Overcooked, as it's not that hard to get 1 or 2 stars on a level, though at some point I think the challenge got a bit too much for them as well)

Hi, what would you suggest? Legendary Edition + Wasted Wilds or 2E Base + 2E Gothic Horrors?

@ActionHeinz If those are the only choices, I'd go with 2e base+2e Gothic Horrors and pick up Wasted Wilds at a later date. Alternatively. You could just get Wasted Wilds first, see if you like the game and then get 2e later. I wouldn't get the legendary edition or older version of Maximum Apocalypse while 2e exists. For a new player, it is a much cleaner implementation.

@@GideonsGaming Thanks for the answer, I was also leaning towards this option. Still a bit unsatisfying that there are inconsistencies in the 2e but it's manageble.
