I really really wish that Hailan had gotten rid of her insecurities about her stretch marks and continued to level up. She would have been a fucking amazing empress compared to Ruyi. Ruyi has a heart of gold. It's pretty, but soft and weak. Hailan has a heart made of diamond. Brittle, but will cut everything in it's way no matter how many pieces it breaks into. She knows what to do and what needs to be done. That harem would have been completely clean of any plotting and scheming for longer than a decade. Ling Yun Che would not have died and Ling Fei would have been crushed before getting an opportunity to rise up.

going through a lot in my old soul past experiences,and just taking time out to watch this has changed my life forever in the forever more. I seen what they felt understand how much they have all been through and struggle with time and time again. And they had to learn and gain so much from it myself I had no positive role models learning how to handle relationship with family friends and close parents it has taught me so much about life a d living just by watching all of them it like each and every single empress was in someway or another giving me strong advice about the whole I once grow up in and how it effected the old me in some time of way and how I can over it but letting go moving on starting as chinese say afresh and began a new and healthier life purpose and journey along the way. i truly so love and have much respect for each and every empress from each dynasty. LONG LIVE THEM ALL. ❤❤

I watched Yanzi Palace and Ruri: Love in the Palace. I preferred the latter because the portrayal was more realistic. Just my opinion.

I try to find other cdramas to watch but nothing hits me as hard as this one. It was my first and it is my favorite. It hurts every time and just when I think I won’t cry this time I always do. And the more times I watch the more time I can’t help but see the Emperor as the real villain. Even with all the horrible things Empress Fuca and Jia and Yanwan did, it could be argued that it was for survival, the his horrible temperament and demeanor and fickleness turned these woman into monsters who saw being ruthless as the only way. I think even Yanwan tells the emperor the very same after all her crimes are found out, along with the fact that the only one who never became such (Ruyi) he turned his back on her , too. It’s such a tragic story yet beautiful at the same time and I’m gonna go cry now bye.

It was just sad to see the ending of this great story. I found a connection with all involved. Just amazed me that the Emporer was a kind individual who was actually a manipulative and violent person. My heart goes not not only Ruyi but to all who were disfavored and disposed.😮😢

What in the actual hell! I got goosebumps the entire vid! Dramatic score! Quiet and meek are the deadly ones. Wow, how she held a grudge and went in on her enemies (even a kid. Chile, I'm scared). Fiercely loyal. Willing to give her life (drank poison while pregnant!) or take one (Yunche, Ruyi soulmate). Also, little mousey girl dolled up nicely. War paint. Emperor provided glam squad and Hailan made great use of them. Blossomed. Ask the other women in the harem.

I dont think huafei was ever truly “evil”. I thought she was mostly misunderstood and neglected. Even though she is still an antagonist, her behaviour can be seen through different points of view. Ngl she was still a super huge bitch but i really felt bad for how she was treated all along, as she actually had feelings for the emperor while many other concubines did it for power
