    Be warned! Medical benefits do NOT cover all medical expenses. I assume you are talking about medical benefits through employment. They vary from employer to employer, but they only cover certain percentage of medical expenses, called “coinsurance”. For example, Blue Cross will pay 80% while you pay 20%. And given how expensive hospital visits and prescription medication costs in America, that 20% can easily reach thousands of dollars. Until recently, insulin cost $670 per five pens. Not exactly good for low-income families. Plus, these medical plans require an annual deductible, which is more cost. And they usually only cover non-preventative medical and drug expenses. There are certain programs like Medicare to alleviate these medical costs, but I think that they are reserved for citizens only (though I could be wrong). I am proud of our country, but please note that medical expenses are not kind to low-income families!

    • @Laurenador
      @Laurenador 24 дня назад

      He is talking about medicade for poor people. It covers everything. Medicare is for old people that are retired. If you don't meet the qualifications for free medicade, you can get reduced cost. Before we got married my now husband got a raise and he made too much to get medicade for free, but he qualified to still get it for $25 a month and it covered everything.

      many states dont tax groceries

    • @nellepolansky300
      @nellepolansky300 27 дней назад

      While most states do not have a specific tax on groceries, the majority of states have a state wide general sales tax, which is applied to any transaction. So for instance in Texas where I am from, the general sales tax rate is 8.25% so if I go to the grocery store and ring up $100 of groceries the total amount I will pay is $108.25, because I have to pay the sales tax but Texas has no specific tax on groceries. If I were to go to Tennessee, they tax groceries at 4% and have a general sales tax of 7% so that same $100 order of groceries in Tennessee would be a total of $111.00 because I would have to pay both the general sales tax and the grocery tax. (7 out of the 13 states that do have a grocery tax simply include that percentage on the listed base price of the item, like most countries in Europe and the British common wealth do for all applicable taxes on an item)

I’ve been to many places in Europe and it’s east to tell that they do in fact smoke and vape a lot there but it’s isn’t much different here in the US. The most incorrect statement is about the friendlyness because everywhere in Europe people are beyond friendly and it’s easy to see it. Here your lucky if you get a really kind and patient person working at a fast food restaurant when all your trying to do is grab a quick meal. Not so sound petty or anything.
