what did you use to attach the 1x4's to the metal? self tapping screws?
Yep 👍🏼
Wow… that looks fantastic! Great job!!! 👏
Thank you! Cheers!
How did you make the LED block behind the wings...? @theheights
Kind of hard to explain, I found some plastic/PVC type material at Lowe’s. Cut out the shape and attached the LED light then mounted the wing directly to the block.
How is it holding up
Would love to have a digital plan/blueprint if you have one
Unfortunately, I don’t have one. I was kind of winging it during the building process.
Looks great ... Question about the AC ... This is where I'm struggling is the window AC is normally those for windows. I can see yours like that too and the vents on the side of the AC will get covered on the wall? If you can give more details about the framing. That will be helpful. Also, great idea about the ceiling wood plank ... When you get a chance ... do you have a link of that product?
Are you looking for a link on the AC unit? a.co/d/4s6qvAx The AC unit does have a vent on the backside to get rid of the hot air/water. The space between the vents in the front of the unit and the back of the unit fits perfectly inside my 2 x 4 wall the same way it would in between a window frame , if that makes sense and then it is completely foam sealed inside the 2 x 4 wall framing
Do you collapse the pool in the winter, or do you leave it out? I'm considering using your idea, but my wife is concerned that it is not a good idea in Swedish winter temperatures.
We don’t really get a winter here in Florida, but I will drain the pool and just keep it covered… It gives me the opportunity to clean the liner and prep everything when refilling it for the next season. And because of the size of the pool it’s very inexpensive to fill.
I just did my 1976 Shasta 2400 RBR for a reintroduction back on the market to bring some vintage style back with a little personal touch. Great to see another person out there like me, and loves dogs. Bailey is the best project manager!! Best wishes for your continued success going forward from my little fur family to yours.
Nice ! Thanks i appreciate it!
Man that really looks great! Nice work!
Thanks!

How much did the shed cost to convert?
The bathroom in the middle that you removed, with walls running from floor to ceiling, more than likely gave the camper it's structural integrity to a large extent. Now that's gone and it's just some spindly sticks trying to hold their shape in gale force winds and bumpy roads.
In this particular build, we used angle iron in the center, and in the ceiling in place of wood framing
Looks good. Sand filters are not an upgrade to filter pumps though, at least performance wise. Much lower microns with pleated filters.
The small paper filters would clog up quickly and were high maintenance for cleaning and changing them out. The sand filter is just a much more maintenance free set up.
@@The_Heights then it was too small of a cartridge (undersized). Properly sized, the carts are soooooo easy, clean, and most importantly effective.
@@govegan0424 yeah I wouldn’t be surprised. It was undersized. It definitely seemed that way. It was the stock filter that comes with these pools, which seemed really cheap.
I love it❤New subscriber🎉
Thanks for subbing!
Came out awesome!!
Thanks!
Great job!!
Nice work! We spent 7 months renovating a 1995 travel trailer. Nice touches!
Thanks !
What brand of insulation did you use on the exterior?
Polypro - from Lowe’s
What was the silver foil on the floor? Insulation? Can you provide a brand name please.
Not sure the brand it’s just a boil/bubble insulation they sell at Lowe’s
I'm getting ready to do this with my '59 Traveleze. This might sound odd, but how do you attach the sub floor to the metal frame? Did you add those cross beams so you could attach it to those? I don't really understand how the trailer stays securely on the trailer frame. Thanks!!
The subfloor attaches using carriage bolts through the floor and through different parts of the actual frame, depending on the type of camper and brand
So exactly what kind of wood was used?
It’s all pressure-treated outdoor lumber as far as the exact dimensions. This was built on the fly so I don’t have a build list but it’s almost all two by tens.
Absolutely love this so much, it's a great way of hiding the pool which isn't very attractive and this also makes it easy to replace the pool with a new one if needed. Brilliant job 💜💜💜
great
Amazing helpful information
That's absolutely awesome! Love it!
This is genius!
That’s amazing. Is it heated?
No im in Florida if anything, I’m always trying to keep it comfortably cooler throughout the year
i know its been two years, but i just finished my metal shop walls and now moving to ceiling. What screw, self taping, metal or what did you use to go through the 2x4 to the metal studs?
Can’t remember the exact size screws, but they were just metal self tapping screws, but I pre-drilled the holes in the wood before putting in each screw so it didn’t bind up
@@The_Heights gotcha. thanks man. great video and the ceiling looks great
Very cool but I can’t get over all these videos where u guys install your boxes to the front of the beam🤷🏻♂️ do u not ever want walls?
Can we get an update on the pool and build ?
Might do a update video, but as of now poll and frame is good
Love it!
Love this! We just got an identical pool. Just wondering, is there enough space between the pool wall and the fence all around for access in case of a leak or something?
Thanks… It’s a little tight, but I can crawl in between there if I needed to check on some thing you could also just unscrew one side if you ever had an emergency, it wouldn’t take very long to remove the boards or you could build a door somewhere
@@The_Heights Great ideas, thanks!
That’s really nice. How does the pool itself hold up to the elements like snow, extreme heat from the sun etc?
Works great every year or so I sanded everything down and put a fresh coat of stain on it other than that no issues
@@The_HeightsIt looks really nice. I like that idea.
Beautiful 🤩
awesome build, I'm looking at doing something similar and was thinking of using the EcoFlow or the Jackery. How do you like that system so far? It seems like it may be convenient for a little while but then be a regret in the long run. I like the ideas of the alternator charger but i dont want that installed in my vehicle.
We don’t really do off grid camping so this is great for when we need to run things on road trips or an over night. If i upgraded to the 1000w version and a propane water heater it would be solid. It really comes down to if your gonna install solar panels on the camper and what you’ll be running
@@The_Heights solid ideas. I appreciate the info.
What a great idea and great job!
I wonder how difficult it would be to put water jets to make it a endless lap pool?
Absolutely Beautiful!🤩 Very classy warm feel using that style.
Everything’s been good on my end… Good luck
Love the video, info and ideas. We just built a 26x50x10 in Indiana. I will be trying to keep the cold out and condensation. I am using the same foam board. Hope everything worked out well for you. Thanks
What stain was used ?
I would consider connecting the 4 sides with carriage bolts and nuts so when you have to replace the pool it's easy to reassemble.
Nice update! Are you interested in reviewing our 7-in-1 pool water monitor? It can test PH, CL, ORP, EC, TDS Temp and Salinity, etc! We're sure that you'll love it.
Sure !
Hello, can you send me the blueprint? I would like to do the same for my pool.
Unfortunately, I built this more or less, winging it along the way and don’t have physical plans
how did you frame and support the top wood deck over the pool to handle weight and not bow in?
I used the top of the fence posts and added 2 x 4 around the upper perimeter of the post to build it out and then put the top deck piece right on top of that… If that makes sense
@@The_Heights thanks any pictures? great set up. how well does it hold weight? can someone sit down on it? how wide is the floor board on top?
What did you use for the ceiling ?
Pine tongue and groove
Do you have any neighbors? How well does that foam board insulate against the noise of grinders, table saws, etc?
I do have neighbors I do most of the loud stuff during the day and with all of the doors shut it’s really not that bad. You do hear the noise but it’s not excessive. I used 1 inch foam board insulation in the walls and ceiling and then plywood on top of that which has helped reduce the noise drastically
Hi! I'm curious about the dimensions of the shed?
This is a 10’ x 14’ shed with a center ceiling height of 10 feet
@@The_Heights thank you so much! Great work!
Great looking conversion! Love the look of the floors and ceiling
Thanks ! I appreciate it
How well has this held up?
Everything’s going good , no issues so far
