We're just two twin brothers that wanted to make a living doing what we love. So we started a construction company.

This is the best way that I’ve found to cut arches while I’ve been on the job site. It’s a lot cleaner and faster than a jigsaw or bandsaw and there is almost little to no sanding. #diy #howto #carpentry #finishcarpentry #woodworking #diytips #carpentrytips #arches #construction #constructiontips

Glad I watched this first to see it’s more straightforward than I thought.
Thanks brother
Music is way to loud
set the saw one direction and just flip the board most crown is 38/52, for 45/45 the setting is easy to find
Thats the problem. We don't want to know the easiest way, we wanna know the best way.
Upside down and backwards. That's exactly how I would explain it to people. Its a hard concept to grasp at first, but it becomes second nature over time.
Bevel is always 33.9? Regardless of the crown's spring angle?
About to try this now! Thanks in advance.
Will this work for cove molding?
That is absolutely not how you cut an inside corner. It's called cope
Can you explain why please thanks
A more perfect fit. Backcut your piece after cutting
You can cope or miter, this is absolutely not incorrect lol
Does this work on every size and type of crown? And do you have to cope the inside corners?
I have the same questions, but I'll say that coping should not be necessary if you are mitering. They are different methods of acquiring the same result. If your angles are off, the miter will have a gap in the front or back and the top/bottom may or may not meet the next piece. Crown molding has a spring angle, which is the angle relative to the wall you're attaching it to and determines what angle you set your saw.
Does this work on every size and type of crown?
Definitely easier this way
Thank You! By far the easiest way and 100% perfect fit.
Nice one
You guys do awesome work!
Thank you bro 🙏 you are the best 👌
😮 I need to try this thank you
You can also wax the bed so that it slides.
Thank you Hank Hill for this informative video
I don’t understand why we do it like that versus a 45 degree cut each side
because the crown does not sit flat, it sits at an angle on the wall, so you are cutting an already angled piece of wood.
My man! You are a lifesaver with this video. Did you add a Schluter membrane after with corners and everything?
@@AndYetHereWeAre I did! Just didn't make a video on it.
I believe God lead me to yall's channel. I was installing some crown molding and stumbled across your vid about coping crown. Helped me get the job done. Can't explain why but I thought to myself "I wonder if this guy is a believer?" &then saw another one of your videos with Christian music playing! Praise God! Anyways i am starting a new job... been a trim guy for 4-5 years & starting doing some exterior stuff Monday. Glad I found your channel. I see you have not posted in a while... I hope things are going well and yall are blessed! God bless you!!

New to spray paint. Do you need to clean it out at the end of the day or just before you put it in storage?

I know this is a cap trim of some kind but what you call that?
@@lestalkmorebasss we've always heard it called "back band". You don't really see it used that much anymore.
@@KnightBrothersConstruction in Mississippi it’s in most of the older homes because they all had wide trim 👍🏻
sorry im late. painting for 20 yrs myself. good job on the prep. better safe than sorry. all that pain in the butt work is what makes it look great.
I love it!
Is the best way to clean it after use priming it again with water?
Thx a lot 👍
Thank you for your help
You're welcome!
Did the spray hose get primed automatic?
No, once your machine is primed you spray into another bucket until you have paint coming out.
This video deserves more views and likes 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Can you prime it with paint if using a small amount that you don’t want to waste or water down?
I think the reason they recommended priming it with water is because it's easier on the sprayer while sucking up paint since water isn't as thick. You can always use your best judgement but priming with paint could potentially burn out the pump in the sprayer. I don't know what situation you're in as far as painting but if it's just a small amount it might not be worth the set up and clean up to use a sprayer and using a different painting method might be better.
This nightmare is why I got a HVLP. Just pop off the gun and clean it, very little wasted paint also. You just wasted about a quarter of paint
Not really sure what you mean by quarter of paint but I didn't waste anything near a quarter of a gallon. I always spray as much as I can back into the can while sucking up water in the other end. It looks like a lot of paint because the water is mixing with it.
@@KnightBrothersConstruction I would going to recommend doing that because I didn't see it in the video
That’s a cool technique. There’s got to be a limit for how tight the radius of the curve can be to use this technique. Do you have an idea of what might be?
Thanks man. No I’m not sure how tight of a radius you can cut this way. I’ve seen some framers cut some pretty tight ones this way though.
You don’t understand how bad California needs craftsman. It’s all one day visit contractors with low quality work. I can’t even find a quality shower tile person that works solo.
I’ll remember this trick sir! Thank you and Mr York🙏
You’re welcome! 🤜🤛
Used ladder jacks all my life and I have never once put those on or even knew it was there
Wear ear protection otherwise you'll start losing clarity and get ringing in the ears when your in your 50s.
Thanks man! I appreciate it. I normally do wear hearing protection. I was trying to hurry right here is why I didn’t have any.
@@KnightBrothersConstruction take it from an old soldier who had a few too many instances of small arms and explosives go off nearby: Don't hurry if your life isn't in danger. You don't want tinnitus--and if you're already developing it, keep it from getting worse. I have Bluetooth earbuds rated around -21dB with me almost at all times these last couple of years. They've saved my hearing from getting worse and, thus, my sanity. I even use them at concerts (yet another reason my hearing started to go in my 20's).
