Добавлен 1 май 2019
Lost Socket Garage.com was created in 2019, though its roots run much longer. It all began with a group of friends that loved to modify their cheap high school cars with next to no actual budget. Originally focusing on our love of American Muscle, we grew into specializing in Classic Ford mustangs and more specifically the highly popular Coupe to Fastback Conversion. With the Fastback Market skyrocketing, we wanted to provide a realistic alternative to owning a classic Fastback without shelling out the premium they draw. With many Successful conversions under our belt, our goal is to provide Knowledge, Experience, and the highest Quality in the industry at a reasonable price. At Lost Socket Garage, we truly love the car culture and the community that goes with it. It’s not about the money, it’s about making people smile when they hit the gas.

no chance in getting Sean Connery to narrate he passed in 2020
Well shit. Reeeeeally wish I was better at my job.
If money isn’t an issue would buying the complete one piece side panel kit a better option? I have some rust in my side front toe boards on both sides.
if you have a 67-68 get the unassembled. Same pieces just without dynacorns poor measuring. We did a video on saving thousands on a c2fb conversion. I cover it in there
Hi ya’ll, does any one have a parts list for 1968 coupe to fastback?
yessir. Shoot me an email at lostsocketgarage@gmail.com
What was an other name for the 71 mustang
Big body?
You need to try a fastback conversion on a Cougar!
Watch kiwi customs
I want to baaaad!
Great build
i work in the body shop at flatrock where we build the mustang and youd be surprised how the under body and front stucture are the same as they were back then .ofcourse we us stronger componets but things havent changed much .great job on the vid keep them coming
Loved the history lesson and useless facts great video. Keep them coming thanks
Very cool! Thanks!
Haha thought I'd try something new to break up the monotony of a timelapse haha. Glad you liked it!
@@lostsocketgarage its great who knows someday i might get asked a million dollar question about hippos and win just because i watched your vids
@@poppacapinya hey when ya do... remember the little people....like me ;)
I had a 70 coup. But I always wanted a fastback !
everyone does
You wouldn’t happen to have a parts list for a 69 conversion would you
are you going to do a video like this on nugget?
If thine wishes dear sir. Say the word dudeseph and I'll start rollin!
@@lostsocketgarage please! I would love to watch it being worked on!
@@DAPSRULE SOOOOOOOOOOLD!
Yeahhhhh, I’m smart!!
Haaaaaa Neeeeeeerd!!!!! haha jk. Wish I was smrt
careful with that hood. lol 1:17
You are at work, so take out the air pods. 😤☹
Yeah they double as ear protection so ima go with hard no
I want a Fastback !!
I'll build ya one!
Thank you for taking the time to video the procedure for doing a coupe to fast back conversion.
Thanks for uploading these I missed the live
Love the rando hippo facts! ❤ Love watching y'all work!
You have to say that
I'm interested in Oscar how can I contact you about it
Is anyone making 1970 cudas bodies?
Honestly IDK. I know dynacorn doesn't
@@lostsocketgarage thanks for the reply.
hello from France, I would really like to get started on a 1967 Fastback GT500 replica project, BUT I have no knowledge of welding. I would love to hear your opinion on the Dynacorn bodies-is it worth it? Thank You
Hi!! I would say watch our video on the dynacorn shell vs coupe to fastback. We break down the numbers there. It's very situational tbh.
Did you guys do a video or do you have a portion of another video that discusses the list of parts and approximate costs for all of the inside parts that need to be bought new or from a donor fastback to finish out the rear of a 65/66?
Its our video on picking the right coupe for coupe to fastback. I break down some additional costs there
@@lostsocketgarage thanks, I will have a look.
Very interesting - thanks for the taking the time to share your insights on the market. Have you had any roller customers from California? Just wondering how the registration process works when a car VIN’ed as a Coupe shows up as a Fastback.
We have yes. When a car is titled, usually there is no Fastback designation on the title. Its just referred to as a coupe either way. So registration is usually very straightforward
@@lostsocketgarage Awesome, thanks for the prompt response!
i guess im strange but i always likes the coupe better
I love a good lookin coupe too.
"Hello Nugget"
haha right?!
Always great work
Thanks buddy!
Very nice! I gotta do a floor section in the pacecar. Trying to psych myself up for it lol.
i find a nice cocktail of caffeine, whiskey, ibuprofen, and ritilan helps.... hahaha
Lol cut top and fenders off looks like a fairlane
Kinda yeah!
Love 67 68 FB
Awesome,Hunter!
Thanks!
Thanks!
No problem!
Nice car. Crappy song and singer. Never liked Aerosmith. Ever.
So it’s possible to use the factory wheel wells? If so that’s a dream.
Yes, the trick is peeling the 1/4 off the outer ww without too much damage. If you can do that... sender bud
Very good information
Thank you!
What's with that hair?
Thank you for taking time out of your day to watch our videos, and the extra time to comment about another grown men's hair style. Helps the ol algo ;)
You need to shake the camera more.
Noted, I'll limber up next time. Get a little more wiggle in my head. Seriously though, my bad. First time recording this style vid with a gopro. Ill do better
At least you do quality metal work. The camera can be adjusted, not always the skill being demonstrated. Well done.
Thanks!!!!!
Do you ever sell the take off or left over parts? I’m in need of a set of 69’ fastback windshield a pillars.
We dont have alot of 69 stuff sadly
To be honest. I would rather have a car that I built myself with modern drivetrain and suspension than owning a Shelby 1 of 1. The build quality would be better and modern engine transmission is a no-brainer.
Amen
This is terrible
Thanks for the super specific and helpful comment!
I have developed epilepsy watching this wtf 😂
Haha Honestly, this is my first go with filming with a GoPro. Apparently adjustments need to be made hahaha
Always down for quickie!
A lot of work for small patch
Lots
Can't even see the work being done.
Sorry first time with helmet mounted go pro. Sagged too much. I'll get it right
Can I ask you a question how come everybody likes Mustangs so much they're like tampons they're everywhere
To each their own I guess
Is Chris still at Lost Socket garage?
@@fdwsr71 very much no. He's been gone for over a year
I feel good about my 21k B2 project now !
All right fellas I just purchased a 1962 Mercury Comet four-door four-door I would like to go to rack and pinion what company would be the best it's manual steering now
We usually use borgeson units on our mustangs
67-69 camaro reproduction drip rails would be really close as thay are shaped close to the same shape as 64-68 mustang coupe
ooo, I wanna try that now! Thanks!!!
It took the industry so long to provide repop roofs for coupes....can't believe that the drip rails were not done at the same time. I've decided to reassemble and sell mine, as I have 2 others to do.
Seems like a missed opportunity right?
