My Full Bino Harness Setup | Eberlestock Recon Review
In this Eberelstock Recon Bino Harness review, I go over my full setup and everything I carry inside. These items are staged to support a basic whitetail hunt in my area, keeping my total setup fast and light. I will need a larger pack for more involved hunts, but this is everything I carry for quick sits in the early season.

      @@andrewvondoloski5541 thanks for the comment. As mentioned, it’s a game of averages. As a whole, any broadhead that has moving parts and thinner blades will be more likely to twist or deploy unevenly than one of a fixed construction and no moving parts. Don’t use loctite on the muzzle brake. You’ll want to remove it when you clean the rifle. Hand tighten is is all that needs to be done.

    • @Outdoor-Tactics
      @Outdoor-Tactics 6 дней назад

      @@mammothammo7357 I appreciate the comment but I’ve got to disagree. Use a small dab of blue loctite so that it’s not permanent. It’ll still come off just by slotting an Allen key through the ports. You don’t want the threads becoming loose under recoil, or from riding around in a vehicle. Loose fitting muzzle devices can negatively affect your harmonics and change your POI.

    Do trail cameras record audio, sound, and voice along with a video like police body cameras without internet and cell service? Do they come with built-in memory? Or do we need to buy separate SD cards?

    • @Outdoor-Tactics
      @Outdoor-Tactics 7 дней назад

      @@radheshyama16 thanks for the question! This camera does record audio, and without cell signal it will behave like a normal trail camera, storing all the data on the SD card. I have that rifle and it is definitely a 1/2 moa with factory ammo. I'm running the vx3 HD cds 4.5x14. The only thing I found that it needed was that the mag well was binding and it was an easy fix. Figure what taking a factory 700 to this level and it would take almost twice as much. Your stiff bolt lift can be fixed with lapping the contact between the bolt cam and firing pin. What really amazes me is this rifle that will carry 1/2 moa out to 700 plus yards with the factory 143gr. Hornady Precision Hunter ammo.

    The comment on Remington 700s is not true. New 700s are much improved since they resumed production under the new management. I recently set up a new production 700 Varmint in 308 with a 5R barrel 1-10, bedded into a B&C stock, Trigger Tech trigger aet at 2 3/4lb, Tract scope. Factory Federal Gold Medal 175 Sierras group at 1/2 MOA, sometimes a little better. Have a bunch of 700s...they all shoot. That said, I think the Christensen is a great rifle too.

    Some solid advice well presented. What gets my goat is there are too many people that wait until two weeks before season and shoot a dozen shots and then go hunting. But then I’m OCD on everything bow hunting. Luckily,I have a multi faceted practice range at home and can/ have done exactly as you advise here. Like you people should go to a place like you and work on everything they can. There’s one major aspect one should develop IMO is CONFIDENCE! This is a very powerful “ tool?” in a bow hunters mind. This comes from being able to basically have the bow and arrow become an extension of you and putting that arrow exactly where you mentally envisioned it to hit. All this can come from nothing but good solid serious practice as you suggest. 👍👍🔥

    Great video. I reached the opposite conclusion. (That doesn’t imply you are wrong) Spooked deer run forward so you are more likely to hit back on a moving deer. I like a wide cut in that scenario. I keep both in my quiver. In thick brush I use a fixed in more open woods I use a mechanical.

    • @Outdoor-Tactics
      @Outdoor-Tactics Месяц назад

      That’s a fair assessment but I have one issue with that conclusion. “Spooked deer run forward” seems a bit flawed. Spooked deer *can* move forward, but they *always* move down. They have to bend their legs to generate power, which drops their bodies and vitals lower. Pretty unavoidable from what I can tell, so I keep my shots as close as possible and take the overall mindset of the animal into account as well. If they’re on edge and out at 40 yards, probably not a good idea to sling any arrow at them at all. Thanks for the comment!

      Several seasons ago I watched my son shoot a doe at 34 yards. Her attention seemed to be away from him as she was broadside to him looking away to her right.
