Preparing a homemade Tiramisù - nearly in realtime
This is an incredibly long but informative :) video about the preparation of a tiramisu. Since it's nearly in realtime you don't need to stop the video every 20 seconds but you can just cook along ...
So, if you don't want the industrial version, this is a genuine recipe. Here are the ingredients:
500g mascarpone cheese
300g Savoiardi cookies
300g espresso coffee
100g sugar
4 eggs
bitter chocolate powder
So get the ingredients and prepare your dessert, a homemade Tiramisu :)
And...I know...I should know better especially in my profession and look in the camera instead of the monitor, but what can I say...I was concentrated on the process - I'll hopefully improve

      Hi Steven, well...what can I say? Officially the camera has a little less dynamic range in the low ISO area. But from my real life testing I really like to work like that when possible. Because clipping the highlights is really not what I want. That means I often have to pull up the shadows in grading and for sure 200 ISO is where you get the least noise. I personally like to work with low iso, but that might be different for other people :)

    Is the sensor shift because you use the fix tripod? Because the height of C200 body is different than DSLRs, so it is also possible that the whole sensor is higher and not quite middle as DSLRs. Really nice framing while you are talking. And Marry Christmas~

    • @thekeenpixel5912
      @thekeenpixel5912 5 лет назад

      Hey Chenny. I think the solution is an incredibly simple one. Someone on instagram pointed me in the right direction (cn't find his post anymore though). I used the 70-200mm lens connected to the tripod - tis way I thought the lens would always sty in the same position. That's true but §I used a photographic Manfrotto tripod and if you change the camera the weight higher weight of the c200 would very slightly bend the tripod in relation to the 5d. I think that should be it. I'll test it soon to see if that's it. Thanks for your comment!

    There are a warning messages every time you change the recording modes so you must be more aware of those. The current selected resolution is behind the waveform monitor, so you can quick check it with the waveform button. Also when your resolution is FHD you have almost 4 times more recording time on your card timer then if its UHD. On 128 gig sd card you can record around 106 min of UHD and when they suddenly becomes 377 min., something is not right :D. If you want to avoid flickering in Europe you must shoot at 25/50 because the electricity here work on 50 hz and it must be dividable to your framerate. In US it's 60hz but the frame rates are actually 23.976/ 29.97/ 59.94 which is a whole another story... It takes so long to switch between standards because the camera changes its working frequency from 50hz to 59.94 hz and it must Restart not Reset! I like that if you want to shoot true 24p you can change the frequency to 24hz (not using the stupid 23.976 us standard) which is very nice. ~120 p is a special slowmo recording mode that you have to switch to - it's not exclusive to ntsc or pal. It's just around 120 p at 59.94 hz working frequency or 100 p at 50 hz. On 24 hz the slowmo mode is a true 120p because it is dividable by 24. It's not a limitation it's just electricity and math :)

    • @thekeenpixel5912
      @thekeenpixel5912 5 лет назад

      Hey there, thanks a lot for the tip. I always have the waveform monitor on since I'm a bit of a burn out-avoid fanatic. I just checked what you said and indeed, there it is. Incredibly it is behind the waveform monitor not even completely - strange choice to omit that information on the waveform is on. As I said, I was often times really in a hurry and just didn't account for that. Now that I know it never happened again. This was quite stupid from my side. Still...would be great to change back to the recording mode you had before quickly and most annoyingly change back to pal. I can understand the clock speed is linked to the frame rate...so at 60hz 30,60 and 120fps seems quite logical. but 24 not so much, yet there's a 24fps setting under 60hz but no 25fps. What to say, I just need to take more time or use my 5D - the c200 isn't a very good walk around cam anyhow, bit of an overkill :-)

    • @360CreativeBulgaria
      @360CreativeBulgaria 5 лет назад

      The Keen Pixel it is actually 23.976 not 24 and it is 2.5 times smaller than 59.94 hz so to be able to display it properly on a 59.94 hz system there is a process that is called 3:2 pulldown where the frames are shown in this sequence AAA BB CCC DD. Nowadays almost everything supports all standards, but I prefer to shoot at 25, 50, 100, and sometimes true 24. I just like round numbers :) for flickering issues - there is a shutter mode that allow you to set your shutter at the rate you want, which is very handy in some situations.

    • @thekeenpixel5912
      @thekeenpixel5912 5 лет назад

      I know 3:2 pulldown very well from my days in post-production. But that works only semi-well with interlaced footage and we are talking progressive footage. In this case you have to drop simply frames which makes the whole thing jumpy. You could also frame blend every 3 and 2 frames which is another way...in every case this is an artificial elaboration that really isn't a straight multiple of 60 (or 59.94). You can (and have to) apply the same kind of pulldown if you convert NTSC to PAL, same principle you just drop every 6th frame (or blend 5 and 7). This will look clunkier but still... it is what it is. Let's say we don't care about 24 (or 23.976), my big question is: why is there no 100fps in PAL which would work just perfectly with 50hz and avoid the soft-reset of the camera? I also like round numbers :-) By the way - not to talk of the big horses Arri and Red but even my 5d with magic lantern firmware shoots ANY frame rate - even strange stuff like 27 or 53fps.

    • @dirkmeistercreative

      @@360CreativeBulgaria man, you made my day, didn't know that. This is new though with the firmware. It's not 120 but still... (could be 125 ;-) Let's forget about NTSC then! Hi Kevin, I didn't actually measure the time yet - since the batteries are attached to the dc-in the camera thinks the battery is a dc-power cable and doesn't tell you the time left. but feeling wise it's around 4 hours. I'll check this out better though. With the two batteries in the kit and the original canon that comes with the camera you definitely can handle a shooting day

    • @thekeenpixel5912
      @thekeenpixel5912 6 лет назад

      Hey Kevin, I have an precise answer for you. The battery lasts 3hours 45 minutes with the c200 switched on and the lens pointed on some moving leaves which means it's often times focussing. I usually never keep the camera always on - you got to move from one location to the next and have prep times - anyhow, never switching off, just for battery change you'll get 7.5 hours of the two batteries plus the canon standard battery with something like 2 hours (perhaps 1.5). So in the end you get 9 to 9.5 hours of continuous shooting with fresh batteries. This is good for me for a shooting day.

    Nice Vid man, these swit batteries are really nice. It's also nice that they have usb so you can power up ssd drive (with cfast to ssd adapter) and still be handheld and compact. By the way when youre shooting mixed stuff (tripod, handheld, glidecam) its easy to stick the original battery for handheld and when you're on the tripod just add aditional power via d-tap (I just leave my vmount battery in a small bag hanging on my tripod), this way you're light when you need to, and have a lot of power :) also about v-mounts, I tjink that you can use them as a counterweight on a glidecam that goes with swit's too. This way the whole setup sure will become much lighter :)

You might shoot a lot of material - perhaps hours of stuff, where a c-fast card only gives me 15 or 30 minutes (128 or 256gb card). In editing on my workstation raw is easy enough to handle, but when I'm travelling with my MacBook Pro raw will usually not play smoothly. The point is - project for client: raw - project for internet (which will be mp4 anyhow in the end) no raw. Makes sense? By the way, I've seen you use a c-fast to ssd solution, well, that starts to make sense! Like the one for the Ursa mini. Cool rig. I also try to keep the weight for the whole system down. Shooting the bigger projects I usually shoot on Alexa or red with all the bells and whistles, so you get super big rigs with matte boxes, v-mount batteries and so on which makes the cameras very heavy. That's ok because there's a camera assistant, focuspuller and lots of people on set but with my c200 I really try to keep it light and easy. That's why I have bought a couple of Swift batteries (Canon BP-A60 equivalent). Great solution. Anyhow - your video gave me an interesting input with the c-fast to ssd cable.... I guess I'll try that :-)

    why is it called noise?

      Because noise in an image is similar to audio noise. If there is none everything is clean and silent. Looking at the sky in this test you see that at lower iso values the sky is clean and uniform, once the iso raises to very high values you get a lot of grain, or noise. Random pixels disturbing the clean image - as if it was noise disturbing the silence. :-)
