Excellent discussion. From the Fast Attack I like the javalins for an extra unit to dig infantry out of buildings, plus the Scimitar Jetbikes for the 20" move and fire in the movement phase. Being able to move so fast they are great for reacting to how the battle is going and threatening backfield and midfield objectives the opponent thought was safe.

Play narrative. Its fekkin awesome. Stuff tourny meta math hammers.

I´m planning to paint titans from several legios this year, and I found this video quite inspiring, as I´m still sorting out the colours. Very nice!

Crucius collectors continue to fail me. Quit using black over blue (Dark Reaper... the color exists, use it).

Gryphonnicus looks boring in the digital art, but consistently kills it on application (go painters).

Personally for me the Warhound is S tier, but I have a full size FW model so I'm probably biased.

Great video, really interesting with the placement of a couple of the tier picks. I would've plonked Honourum into A, with Ignatum and Fureans into S personally as with the other S tier legios, you Know exactly which legio you are facing from across the table without a double take. Apart from that, i'd go with the majority of what you said here. oh and thanks for the mention 🙂

Was in agreement with the being underwhelmed until it occurred to me that if we presume they are classed as knights....they get coordinated fire. That makes the low strengh ALOT less of a mystery. Great video Alex. I’m going to pick some up at some point, but will probably wait until my Traitor Legio has more than 1 engine painted for it! Gives GW a chance to release that book… honestly it’s kind of unacceptable that they forgot to detail the list building requirements for these, but given their treatment of LI on the rules side of things it’s sadly not surprising. Still, if we do get a full new book with Dark Mechanicum, maybe Blackshields and Renegade Knights? All will be forgiven James! 😍

Think you’ve got the right of it. Tenebrax are definitely a one shot (potentially first fire and that’s it) wonder and the Scintillax and Serperos are the best game choices. A shame the Errax are better without actual melee weapons.

Another banging run down. Much appreciated. Going to be getting the lot anyway just to vary games up. It does feel like there is potential for a new book, Purgigatus Heavy Maniple and these already out. Personally apart from shield stripping, they will fill a niche role of killing other stalkers as Bobs already brought one of each boxset. Will have to get in some games with them if they are allowed at beachhead.

I genuinely love the aesthetic of the constructs and am genuinely looking forward to painting some as a project. I am so disappointed in terms of rules though. Absolute bottom of the tactical barrel (burn activation, objective camper, shield stripper) is so uninspiring . Only downside to network anima rather than some sort of flow chart of automatic AI orders shows lack of imagination and focus on anti fun. Hope they release a formation to have a wave of psychotic close combat butchers (better command/ auto pass charge, maybe more speed) as they are so disappointing base rules. If the archer isn’t going to have construct shields surely it deserves better armour/ more pips? Its guns arnt even good enough to qualify as a ‘glass cannon’! Not having an (expensive/ short range) option for a warp gun with the actual warp rule feels like a totally missed opportunity. Would have preordered a whole bunch, now I’m waiting till January and I might pick up a box or two 🤷‍♂️

Small addendum - at 13:30 i mention that the Meltagun would hit a targeted location on a 4+ in close combat. This should be a 3+! Got my WB/BS mixed up! Please forgive me...! :S

I want the Warmaster just because its a cool model. noted that its OP at 3K. what point range do you reckon it would suit? Would it be better in Titamdeath games?

What might have been nice to show for this Legio is how to get those crisp checkerboards. Don’t suppose you have and advice on that?

Recently just finished my warlord titan it took me a week since it was my first time doing it i had a blast and now im addicted

I think at 3000 points you need a lot more line of sight blocking terrain or you end up picking up half your army turn 1. For the warmaster, you just need to think at 3000 points how are you dealing with big titans. Need large volume AP -1 shots and then volcano cannons.

Its really poor value in comparison to the GW equivalent. Everyone keeps complaining about GW's prices, but literally almost every other brand that is trying to create alternative scenery ends up having even more expensive kits. The only reason to buy any of these imho is to have more variety on the board.

No cap on Legion Tank Commanders means Thousand Sons can have a lot more 6+ Shield Generator models.

Do you guys think they will ever make quick reference cards for the titan variants?

I always enjoy your content, I have even pulled out my Titanicus and started to eye it up and down and make it feel somewhat uncomfortable. I haven't stared with touching it yet. One thing (one of many things tbh) I can see in the rules where the Kratos is designated as a super heavy. Which to my understanding of the titan killer rule, means a titan killer weapon cant kill one in one shot which seems super daft. There are other 2 wound vehicles that this also applies to which is just weird. What do you guys think?

My 'hot take' on the plasma weapons is to keep them short-ranged and under-gunned compared to other options but give them the 'Power Capacitor' special rule. I.e. double dice on first fire order. Probably overpowered and would need a re-jig to make it fit, but the opponent has some counterplay (considering the generally shorter range) by moving out of range/LOS/charging etc. It would play into the plasma 'power fantasy' and makes them more interesting to use...

This book feels like gw saw that the warmaster was a problem and said “let’s fix that shall we”. Which is terrible news for all the other titans in my opinion.

I've been thinking about plasma too. Giving the base weapons an extra pip of ap would give them a better niche as heavy infantry/ walker/ cav killers. And reason to take them over autocannons on the Russes. I dont like how poor plasma is against armour in the game, it doesn't fit thematically for me. I'd rather plasma have a special rule to be a base ap-1 vs tanks (scale 2) but nothing larger.
