Great video! I really dont get it. Most trains in Czechia that I rode on were very clean both from the outside and the inside. Much better than what we have here in Germany, its just those City Elefants. They are like the only dirty trains in the Czech Republic. I just dont get why only them? Is it because they operate in and around Prague and there are more grafiti sprayers there?

Wow, the lighting is awesome. Walking into the train, the light bars and all are better than walking down a hotel corridor. I didn't think much of the OBB Nightjet, but this is very attractive.

Hi Maty thank you for sharing your video, I am coming from Los Angeles to Prague in December 22 and taking the train to Bratislava your video convinced me to take the train rather than flying that way i see the country side. Keep up the good work.

I've been travelling more than 35k km with railjets across Europe for work this year but only in economy so far. What do you guys think, is first class is worth it? People/wc/seating? My main problem is lack of back support, the space is fine even on the economy class which is nice, I am around 190 cm. Sometimes it very crowded and hard to reserve a good place even 1 week before my travels. The toilets sometimes run out of "supplies" or one is broken out of the two which is inconvenient. Otherwise I love this train.

I've been on both Railjets - CD and ÖBB, but only in 2nd class. They're both the same in 2nd, 1st and Business I can't say anything about. I've taken the czech Railjet from Dresden(Germany) to Prague and back, the ÖBB Railjet from Munich to Salzburg and back or from Salzburg to Innsbruck/Bregenz and back.

Well, that trains looks kinda, erm, scary inside. Why can't police catch those idiots using CCTV and/or patrol tactics? I mean, they can just make a walkthrough during evening/night time. Are older EMUs still in use by CD?

I honestly don't find it that amazing. Why do I have to share the space with other people? Why not make them all in one row for better privacy? Also legs space doesn't look so comfy and you could touch the other person in front. And finally you only get one drink in Businness class? On Trenitalia you get a snack and drink at every stop from First Class!

The same goes for our city, Kraków. Both cities are, as I want to say: "Father and son", because both former and current capitals are very similar each other (e.g., Malls next to main stations (in this case, Złote Tarasy (Golden Terraces) in Warsaw and Galeria Krakowska in Kraków), bus stations next to them (Warsaw has Dworzec Centralny / Central Station city bus terminus, while Kraków has MDA Bus Station, which is main bus station in the city), underground stops (Warsaw has Centrum metro station and Kraków has Dworzec Główny Tunel underground tram stop), etc).

Railjet's business class certainly offers a great seat but the most luxurious train seat in Europe is Treintalia's executive class on the frecce rosse. It's beyond imagination. Just check it out.

Of course it had a track already; look at the permanent departures board to find it if you’re there that early! It’s that yellow board to the left of the screen. Swiss trains almost always have set platforms. It’s just not on the screen yet because you’re so early. (Why would you arrive an hour early for a Swiss train?!) p.s. fun ride… took it ~15 years ago.

Hello, if you mean by changing undercarriage dimensions the variable gauge system...then that was introduced for the first time by Talgo in 1969.

I rode the train from Locarno to Domodossola, when the units were just a few years old. Fond memories! The interior was a little different, though. The seats were covered with leatherette, which had a certain odour when it was hot outside.

Great trip report video, i travelled few times onboard those rollings stocks and these are probably one of the best experience you can get in a train in Switzerland. Also, it would have been cool if you had shown more view on the Gotthard line...

Ok so it would have been nice to see more shots of the views as that specifically is what people are going on this train for. Too much time spent on the trains standard facilities which resembled pretty much every other train in the world.
