Tipx spring upgrade boosts power to 450+ FPS making it a perfect less lethal launcher!
So Airfunners is at it again with valve spring upgrades. This mod showed an insane power increase. Apparently the old model Tipx used to have a pressure release valve adjustment so that the tolerance could be increased before the blow off valve opens. Well the new style Tipx does not have that inner valve adjustment anymore and are pre-set to only allow around 300fps. If you increase the velocity screw past a certain point the co2 will just leak out. This is great for paintball games but not very ideal for home defense. So I started to dissect this pressure relief valve and figure out how it worked…I removed the valve pin spring and noted the size and weight of it. I then replaced the val...

This was a lot of fun to shoot. It feels really nice in the hands and with the bottom bottle it gives you something to grip and help with recoil. The hot swappable front tank is a great feature so you can have extra air tanks and swap them out in the field without the use of tools. Two 8 shot cnc aluminum magazines make this a complete package well worth the money. You can tell it’s built with ...

Hallo.

Glad you said "potentially" What I've seen is that it doesn't really do much...if anything. Just warming up the COs cylinder/clip will increase the power (measurable) and most Definitely matters if it's a New Cart. After the Very First Shot the cart cools down, Power Decreases (measurably) The ONLY Way to Really tell if if increases power is With a CONTROLLED Variable Test - (New Cart Before After/With Exact Diameter Rounds/ Controlled Temperature.) Otherwise it's all just heresy.
@@mikes11220 I agree there are many factors which will affect how each airgun shoots. One main factor is when the hammer hits the valve, the return spring allows it to open for a certain amount of time. Changing the tension of that spring will undoubtedly allow more (or less) air in which in turn amounts to more (or less) power. Again there are many factors that will affect how each airgun performs but the science or physics of knock open valves remains the same. Once you get into hammer-less valves and electronic components the outcomes change a little but the physics still remain about the same.
I unscrewed the barrel and found a pellet blocking the barrel and the reason for the magazine being stuck, there were about four more about a quarter of the way down, I used a rod to push them out, I had to drill the last one because it got fat from being hit by the other pellets. works fine now.

Odd that they dodnt bother to put any chambers in that moderator. Id rather use my Donny Tanto on the end of it. Thats a whole lot of gun for sub 500$. Very nice!
@@That1E_K1129 you really can’t beat the value of these guns…the hollow moderator was a bit of a let down but everything else made up for it! The side lever is extremely smooth and the magazines are easy to change out quickly. Regulated, Light weight and packs a punch…can’t really ask for more out of a sub $500 gun! 3 year limited warranty and it’s a no brainer!
@Mootzshootz is absolutely a no brainer, I've watched quite a few other reviews on it and the only weak point of it seems to be the bipod Pic rail section of the stock flexes quite a bit, but I don't care as I use a tripod or a bag rest to target shoot and in the field it's all off hand. I absolutely love the gun and should have one in .25 standard size barrel by the end of the month. I'm going to grab one before the price shoots up like AEA products did when they gained some traction.
Can we get a look at your pellet stop? What are you firing into? I have a small (short) basement like yours and I would like to do some test firing. Can you you show us how you set it up? Thanks.

@@gordonkuusisto7068 instead you’re just making it more popular…thanks!
I like that, it's not a slug gun though. Nice anyway.
That’ll do it. What you have done is strengthened the PRV spring. More than a few people had issues just maxing out the regulator. This a pretty good work around instead of blocking the PRV altogether as it does leave some safety intact, although its exact blow off point may yet to be discovered 🙂
@@lesslethalfordummies I cranked it all the way today and was able to get 29.7 joule max and no blow off…that was with 3.2 gram balls but will be trying the aluminum 7.3 g as soon as they come in…hoping to get around 35-40 joules

Hello there , may I ask what bolt didn’t open and hold the bar at 100psi ? Mine got leaking at fill nozzle and didn’t have any air in the tank after 30mins pump . It’s brand new Hatsan blitz and even I replace the other new o-ring for fill nozzle . Do you know why or do I need to open the bolt to unblock the airline come through the tank ? The manual is useless so thanks you very much for your help
@@TangerineNguyen for some reason this model requires the bolt to be locked in the open position in order to fill. Also note that if your rifle showed up with no air at all it may need the seals re-set. This is achieved by using a large air tank like a SCBA bottle and giving a large blast of air that will pressurize the seals. Also note you may need to put a few drops of silicone oil into the fill probe before filling to lubricate the whole system.

Would it be good for home defense if that’s all you could get ? I can’t own a firearm right now
@@FightingAddiction540 95ft lbs of energy is plenty to take down just about anything weighing around 200lbs…that being said pcp airguns are not very reliable for home defense hence why they now have many different types of co2 power pepper ball guns that have quick pierce valves so you know it’s aired up when you need it. Also I wouldn’t rely on semi-auto pcp as they can be finicky with ammo and can jam easily. It has the power but not reliability of a firearm.

@@FightingAddiction540 there’s many airguns capable but the ones designed for home defense are usually less lethal and use co2…I haven’t had a chance to try out a megalodon yet but from what I see that would be a more reliable choice than something semi-auto.

@@AIRGUNZ_MILITIAwhy ?
@@FightingAddiction540 well simple, cannot be regulated, goes from 100fpe down to69fpe in a single mag, bottom tank is not held in pla ce by the pressure, even at 4500psi you can grab thebottom tank and it will unscrew releasing all the pressure and giving you a headache fishing the o-ring out the tank to put back on its probe. the thing just barely fits the edgun west exploding slugs and i think it might misfire and blow one up in the mag it is so tight. need i say more? it is a bintac product and bintac hates me so much for telling the truth about his stuff that he will not even talk with me to try and fix commmunications anymore. and my issues were always valid. had the T9 in my hands, it was leaking because it was not packaged correctly for shipping. box cam with3 half dollar sized holes in it and the end ripped open. and the airpistol was leaking and no one seemed to want to deal with a customer the day before RMAC. and bintac told me himself that he was not concerned with another aea dealers customer even though i bought things frim him also. and i think he intentionally made things the way they were to ruin relations with my aea dealer. s bintac himself sucks rotten oranges. and the 9mm s45 is a more powerful platform even though it is prone to destroy itself. so i am just gonna buy a elite challenger.357 and remove everything , put a 170cc plenum on it with an end cap like a tank and use my m14x1"die to put threads all down the barrel and then facksaw it down to the length of th e smaller tank and bolt a ar pistol grip onto it for more power and a regulater and 2mm tank. and use the extra parts like the 500cc 52mm tank on another airgun use the bullpup stock on something else, and have an actual handgun sized air pistol. snce bintac products just are not doing it for me and the person behind them does not give a rats tail about his customers. s with that said, bintac can have this comment removed by talking with me and resolving our issues, or he can deal with people knowing the truth. he cares about money, not our community. that is "why"
I have got the same compressor and the same hatsan fitting, i want to know the name of the part that you changed because i want to change it too but i cant’t find it anywhere…
If you have the same one all you have to do is disconnect the female plug with two wrenches and then screw in the Hatsan fill probe…honestly the better thing to do is get the quick disconnect foster fitting fill probe. They are like $20 and then you don’t have to worry about changing anything. Hope this helps. Happy airfunning!
