Hi Ghaan, it doubt that one will be able to buy a yard there, the problem is asbestos pollution in the town. It can seriously affect the lungs of people, so maybe not a good place to stay at for extended periods.

Hehe, yes the trip did not disappoint :) Very scenic and lots of life in those dense forests and grassy hills. Thanks for the comment @dogsofthewind, hope you guys have lots planned for the near future.

CKGR is great for big cats! The grass and foliage should also still allow window for good pics in October, it gets thicker later in summer. Lions are plentiful, leopards abound, cheetah can sometimes be spotted on the plains, and we even happend upon a familiy of rooikat (caracal) playing in the road. Nothing is gauranteed, so hopefully you'll get good sightings!

They do look similar, but we don't have Phoneutria in South Africa, just these scary looking rain spiders that reportedly have fairly weak venom ;)

Im planning on buying a Phoneutria in thr near future, shipping it to us​@@willewout

Thank you Naser. It was in April, autumn is a good time to visit CKGR, not too warm or cold and the veld looks lovely with the golden grassy plains.

After seeing Diepgezet in your video I just had to go and see it for myself... you planted the seed :) Glad you liked my take on it and thank you for compliments! Hope that Dogs of the Wind has a lot planned for December!
