What's up? My name's WalaBob. I'm a just guy who loves talking about video games (an original concept, I know).
Weird games, hidden gems, games that literally nobody in their right mind cares about, and sometimes, even popular games - I love them all! Whether using my Bob Ross-like love for teaching, or my Waluigi-esque thirst for chaos, my personality and passion for gaming is infused into every video I make.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my channel!

Stick Fight: The Game (WalaBob & Friends Play)
Takeover is a masterpiece, I wish there was a switch version in the newish game
I just bought this actually. :D Waiting for it to arrive. I hate smartphone gaming, way too much distractions.
Ironically I am here because of download station I have been going through all of the download station demos with my DS Lite and a modded DSi running each volume of download station. I came across this little game and decided to look it up because I had just got off an hour of Zuma Deluxe on my Xbox 360 while thinking it would be cool to have something like this on the DS without realizing it already exists.
Great video! Nice production. Was hoping you would show hanafunda, since that was my favorite game that I believe you had to unlock?
House and Dubstep music in Wipeout? You mean Dark Techno.
I'm a huge fan of OG Clubhouse Games, and while the sequel is pretty good all things considered, I feel that the charm is definitely lost from it's predecessor Just something about the visuals, music and overall presentation of the original felt so comforting and inviting, like you're just chilling with your friends on a friday night playing board games together, and I feel that's kinda lost in the sequel both still great games, don't get me wrong, but I personally would be cracking out my DS if given the choice
this game is the reason i still use my DS to this day
Really underappreciated game. I didn’t get round to playing it until 2022, but thought it was a much better tribute/reimagining of 1 and 2 than Banana Mania was! The physics in particular surprised me in their faithfulness and even the sound effects were much better. It just felt much more authentic to the series’ roots than Banana Mania despite being on the humble DS.
all the anti gravity racers have one flaw .... you can t use your steering wheel with them ... it just sucks ... especially with such snappy fast vehicles you wish you had more or ANY fine adjustment ... also haveing gas and breaks on your foot helps ALOT !!!
For a moment I was watching the gameplay and with the fzx music in the background, I actually forgot that I wasn't watching f zero. I think that alone tells me all I need to know.
I remember I played this when I was young, but mostly forgot about it until 2018 (and have played it a lot since). The game is probably my favorite DS game ever, and it always felt like a game that nobody knew about. I'm glad that people are talking about it
Go back to wipeout omega collection and when you go to start a new game there’s like 3 different options. It defaults you to the first one which is a port of the psvita wipeout game witch is the worst wipeout game of them all. Select one of the other two as the middle one is wipeout HD (the ps3 wipeout game and in my opinion the best wipeout game) and then the last option was originally dlc for wipeout HD. So unfortunately a lot of people play that first selection because it’s what the game defaults to (the game you where playing) when they should be playing the other two
3:45 "While definitely leaning towards the "wipEout" side of the scale in terms of controls" No it is not, let me explain why I disagree. The control scheme of Redout is different from wipEout. Triggers to accelerate and brake, bumpers to use powerup and boost, left stick to steer, and right stick for the precise maneuverability. Compared to wipEout's nice and humble cross to accelerate, left stick to steer, triggers for airbrakes, and square, circle, sometimes right bumper for combat. EVEN IF someone were to say that certain controls are like wipEout's, they'd be wrong before and after Pure's release. Strafing affects the trajectory in a significantly different way than airbrakes ever did, and they are used in different contexts. Pitching is used mostly differently as well, and even "combat" is changed. Especially when the discipline of Redout and wipEout are so different, it's very difficult to make a comparison like that, even more so because you are talking about F-Zero, Redout, and wipEout in the same sentence.
I think the most Recent F-Zero like (By Nintendo themselves.), is the Speed Racer Movie Game on the Wii. Health is tied partly to boost, the objective is to generate and maintain high Boost, and aside from Car-Fu, is similar to F-Zero in some ways.
Did you quit RUclips? :(
it's insane how much better the 42 all time classics ost is. a bit tragic as well
So Aero GPX wasn't my cup of tea, but I did find something that was, XF.
Fzero 99
f-zero 99 just released
I hope they add a “hard mode” that has boost and health as one bar.
Am I the only one who finds the cylinder sections impossible to properly control on? I don't know if it's my lack of familiarity with f-zero but whenever the cylinders come up I practically just swerve and spin wildly just trying to drive in a straight line or follow the boost pads. Apart from that I was impressed by the amount of polish on this game and I'm excited for the full release.
I'd give Grip a miss, as much as I loved Rollcage back in the day. Grip is buggy, the menus are slow and cumbersome and the tracks have too many side details for your car to get stuck on or ping off at at random angles which can cost you the whole race.
Aero GPX feels like a cover band of F-Zero instead of forming its own identity. The Achilles heel to this series, if it makes it that long, would be the announcement of a new F-Zero game as Aero GPX reminds me of why I want to go play F-Zero X instead. I’ll agree, the gameplay is tight, but it doesn’t do anything we haven’t seen before aside from some “tweaks” that can be a mod patch to an existing F-Zero game. The one thing that might save the series is if they decide to create characters to match the machines and make the tracks distinct from each other instead them all being pink, purple, and grey. The tracks also feel empty like a room that was factory cleaned. It doesn’t have a “lived in” feel to it. It’s a good video, and I can’t judge too harshly because you stated it was stream of consciousness and excitement can do that, but some of the comparison were without merit. I do enjoy your excitement because maybe I don’t have enough of it clearly.
I’m gonna be completely honest, I didn’t realize there was a clubhouse games that came before the switch version.
The OST to F-Zero X is legendary. Honestly I think I'll just emulate X to relive that feeling. I'll buy this game to support it though. Looks very promising. But nothing will ever surpass my F-Zero X nostalgia.
This game would be sick with switch controls, shame it likely will never happen.
This game brings back so many memories Used to play it a lot in sleepovers
I used to play this with my family back then Nostalgia
You forgot about XGR frenchise. They are not new though.
Because Nintendo refuses to make a new F-Zero or even Port GX and AX to the Switch.
Is 2023 and im still playing it
Don't you like the Xtreme-G series?
Where the H*CK is WalaBob!!!1111!!!1
Playing through Magnetica now(own the physical game, CIB, which are ALL my 105 DS games). Zuma's Revenge pissed me off, so I stopped playing it and started on Magnetica.
If you ever do make a new Anti-Gravity Racing games video, when you show Redout 2, please don't just show low performance vehicles (like everyone else), since it's the fastest racing game to date. (Also yes, it's a lot less slippery then Redout 1).
Aero GPX is the game i've been waiting for. i've literally never once found a future racing game that wasn't just some spin on wipeout controls. This finally appeals to me and I am all for it.
Puzzle loop Zuma
I love Speed Racer the videogame (2008) for Ps2 and Wii, the game is about driving in a roolercoster track wile you have to hit and do Car-fu in the enemies to win the game. There are more content in the ps2 version, but is easier, in the other hand, the wii version there is 1 less track set and some cars are not there, but there is way more harder and fun the wii version. You shold try it!
I do miss unlocking stuff in games. On the other hand i like to have everything set and only have to unlock a few things. I know this isnt the same genre but the reason why i enjoy arena fighters is that they actually make u unlock things. In the case of saint seiya soldiers soul, you have to beat tournament challenges to unlock different rule sets for versus mode, you unlock god versions of gold saints in battle of gold using a resource that can be unlocked ingame. Finish 4 story arcs to unlock characters, then grind points to get more characters/costumes
Sigh 3 months late to all of this but...what a promising start. I hope that the dev collaborates with some metal artists to get some instrumental heavy metal blasting as was the case with F-Zero X. Also, last I checked, a lot of the machines were simple reskins, and I hope the dev takes inspiration from various military vehicles like the SR-71 Blackbird, F-22 Raptor, various Russian jets (Su-27 Flanker and derivatives come to mind), as well as the fictional Ace Combat jets. I grew up as a kid with the original SNES F-Zero and loved F-Zero X. I wonder if there's been any update in the last 3 months.
Just found out this existed while looking through Brawl's "Chronicle" section
I remember playing Clubhouse Games Express: Card Classics on the DSi. It was worth the $5 in addition to other DSiWare games.
I'm hoping for tracks that blend with the environment. Much like some of the chapters in F-Zero GX's story. Like in the Red Canyon where you have to watch out for those falling rocks, or during the speed bomb chapter where you have to watch out for traffic. Those racetracks were refreshing compared to the usual floating race tracks you see from the rest of the game
Comparing Wipeout and f zero gx is so funny to me cause they're not similar at all, the only thing they share is flying machines. Wipeout's speed is similar to Mario kart lmao
Yeah if you're only ever playing the first two speed classes, then sure make whatever comparison.
GX is also my favorite F-Zero game
My tops picks are Pacer, & Ballistic NG we are blessed in the community for having so many anti grav racers to play these days
The tracks are too large it's not even close to how f zero feels like where you got a split of a second to react. Here it's nothing like that
Takeover was my favorite game on the original. Sad that it isn't in the switch one.
The split health reminds me of xtreme -g racing
The F-Zero handling is actually more "realistic" than Wipeout, if you build a super sonic hover car in real life, you want it handle like it's on rails, not like a hockey puck.
