Arnt you gona put a little grease on those gears?
They only go on one way
Hope nobody follows this vid to rebuild their diff... Alot of things were way wrong. Biggest thing that jumped out was the trashed "washer" you replaced with a lock washer. That was supposed to be a NEEDLE BEARING! 😂
Jesus. Getting seasick trying to watch this damn video video.
Must not be able to afford a harley himself
Thanks
After like 75 videos of different bikes this is the one thank you my brother
Those teeth missing on the flywheel are for a for a sensor that gives your RPM information to your speedometer.
How did you get the flywheel not to move when the nut was seized up?
If only others could make detailed videos such as this one, it would be great. Then put the videos that are actually working at the top if the list would sure save folks a lot of time.
Thank you so much!! Tip for anyone doing this job... Only watch this guy's video. There are about 4 different videos of this procedure which are all wrong. I had to take mine apart like 5 times. If you follow this video exactly then you will be all set. Thank again!
Did you have the positive lead on the yellow and blue at the same time or just the yellow by itself ?
Just the yellow by itself is how I did that in the video. It's been some years so I had to rewatch it.
That is some ridiculously high priced stuff you got there !! I've used 5w-20 Synthetic or ATF Type F for years with never a problem !!
put all the grounds on the screw then screw it in, your in the 50% you talked about earlier, ysf.
Hey man my polaris 800 is doing the same thing do you happen to have a part number for the injectors
This is what came up in my history purchase as the exact ad is gone. www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_id=302276001076&_nkw=*Best+Upgrade*+12-Hole+Fuel+Injectors+Polaris+RZR+Sportsman+Ranger+SPM+RGR+800
Merci beaucoup 😀😀😀
I've got an 05 700efi.wondering if it's the fuel pump or reg.takes forever to start when it's been sitting for more then a day or so.when it does finally start it runs rough and will not rev out.will do only 35 40 mph and pops periodically..
I’m not sure if you figured it out by now but you didn’t have to take the whole front end of ur Atv off to pull the diff ? All you had to do is remove the fan 4 bolts and 1 plug and that enough room to slide the diff forward and out the side.
Brutaaaaal
This actually works
Hello! I bought a new tps, do you know how to set it?
Been a few years but I used a volt meter and set it to the manufacturer specs. I also did this machine with a different used throttle body so I did start from scratch with the "d" screw then the actual tps sensor.
Is this a 570, and what model year is it if you don't mind my asking?
Hey great vid...do you have the part number for the second part you replaced? You changed the aluminum part to a steel part?

How is the X holding up after 2 years?
Like clockwork. I'd recommend the product.
@@EdExotics How many miles do you have on it? Have you replaced the radiator yet? I lost my tranny to the SMOD. BTY - Excellent videos!!!
@@flaprepper she's pushing around 160k. I did have a tiny radiator leak and replaced it. All this with known and/happen the first few weeks of owning her. Haven't had any issues that came up besides the radiator. Better start calling the yards to see what's available. Good luck with the search.
@@EdExotics I repalced the tranny about two years ago and all is good now. Mine is an 05' wit 206k and a new pait job. Any plans for more xterra videos?
@@flaprepper Honestly, I hopefully not lol. As much as I like working on her, I'm not looking for anything else to break but if it happens and there isn't a good video about it, I'll make it
Avoid this problem by putting your foot on the brake to shift don’t jam it . That’s what that lock on the bottom at 5 o’clock is the release from the right foot brake pedal . Putting a hi gear in the transmission is what I’m fixing for a friend now . 175$ gear .
Can you tell me the part number replacement?
I just posted the link in the description to this pump I bought.
@@EdExotics thanks, think it is the same for an ‘07?
@@robfiscus1852 Ad says 04'-07'. If you're not sure you could always lift it up out of the tank to visualize it and get the dimensions to match up on the site.
@@EdExotics awesome, thanks for your time.
What thread and size did you use on the flywheel puller? Those 3 gold screws?
I don't remember from years ago but I believe I bought it at AutoZone or harbor freight.
im having same problem on my yamaha yfz450r Bogging problems. did this new injector fix the issues you were having ?
It did actually. Maybe also try your throttle cable, TPS, battery good, is voltage good (rectifier etc.)
@@EdExotics can bad battery cause miss fire or backfire and bogging problems ?
@@ac7ionman_ Not likely but yes, is a possibility. Grab a harbor freight volt meter and test to rule it out.
@@EdExotics thanks for the great info im fan of ur work<3
@@ac7ionman_ Sometimes they're like robot dissecting to find the issue. Check all your wire connections, maybe try searching for your bikes wire diagram. Spark, Fuel,, Air BUT WHERE lol
hello amogo, good afternoon, excuse me, the diagram of the torques that you show, and is it a program or is it a google page, could you give me the information, greetings
I think your e talking about Haynes Repair Manual?
Solid video. Like the pointer to break the fill open before committing to draining the fluid.
THE WASH THAT YOU PUCHACED FROM LOWES TO REPLACE THE DAMAGED PART IS SUPPOSE TO BE A NEEDLE BEARING AVAILABLE FROM POLARIS
I have this same polaris and have gone through 4 after market fuel pumps in only 2 years.
This one is still pushing 39-41PSI strong.
Hi, why you change the rotor?
Hey awesome video, question for you mine got stuck in R and the teeth are ground out. I ordered a new shift shaft and I’m wondering is it possible to just twist the shaft to N or what you would have to do?
I had that happen on a dirt bike and it was that easy is all I can say from experience.
@@EdExotics alright thanks for the quick reply man have a good day.
What Year is the nissan. please don't forget mentioned.
As in description: 2006 Xterra Timing Chains, Guides, Tensioners, Water Pump Replacement. :-)
Thank you for the video
Thanks for shareing
I got a 2005 sportsman 800 efi that starts fine and run's good for about 15 to 20 minutes then starts to bog down and loose power. If I give it more trottle and keep the revs up, most of the time it will work but sputter until I decrease throttle. It idles fine but will bog down again when i give it gas. What were your symptoms? Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!
Maybe check the tps (have a video posted on that as well) injectors/gas and/or components?
Might be late to the party, but my 700 efi I just spent a week diagnosing had the same issues as you. I would bog after 20-25 min of riding. The machine would never shut off just bog, I tested pressure and it seemed normal but found out my fuel pump was loosing pressure after running that 20-25min interval, I would say its definitely your pump or regulator acting up when hot!
Changing cv axles on an 04 250 4x4 artic cat done the rear no problem but cant get the front how did you pull your out wasnt very clear?
The ring/clip on it. I just pushed it in and yanked straight out.
@@EdExotics thx ill give it a try
@@devinb6268 just push straight in and pull it hard straight back out. You could also use a 5-10lb dent puller. I welded one on that I couldn't get out.
Are front axl measurements different from side to side
What rebuild kit did you get?
Showed me exactly what I needed to see thanks great video
How did that fuel pump work out for you i have same problem with mine i like that kit
100% to date. Just make sure the gas line length is exact so you don't sit high in the tank.
Was it not idleing proper? Would it just shut off if you weren't on the gas?? Ordered a new injector but hoping that's what the issue is.. at first it would shut off when I cranked it. Then I would have to give it some gas and then it would ideal seemed like the more I did that the shittier it got. Then got to the point It would just shut off once I cranked it
If injector doesn't solve the problem, look at my TPS video.
@@EdExotics thank you!!
Did you decide at the end to replace the valve covers? Would have made life easier to remove them at the beginning and then you could have easily replaced the upper tensioners. Plus, it gives you access to the the cams, so you can hold or move them with a wrench, if needed. Looks like you went to the nissan dealer for some parts, not sure why you didn't get the factory upper tensioner guides, since that is one of the biggest issues with the nissan whine noise. that's a lot of work to not replace the upper guides. Good job and hope she is running well
I did replace both covers. Yes, some parts from Nissa. I found my local dealer had posted them on eBay and I was able to buy them at a cheaper price. Since I did this job to date, Ol' girl still purring like a kitten.
Thanks for part two! Did you lock out the flywheel?
I did not. She moved once on me but was easily put back into place.
Thanks for this. Others I have viewed gloss over much of what you show. Timing cover bolt placement idea was brilliant 👍
Thanks
I have the same problem but I found metal fragments in mine, this is a great vid thx
Did ur atv backfiring and popping
It's been awhile since this upgrade but I don't remember those symptoms. I do however remembering those when I needed to replace/adjust my TPS sensor.
Whats are symptoms of a bad tps
On this bike I experienced backfiring when giving throttle, erratic idling and performance was changing during rides. After adjusting the TPS a couple times the volts were never the same.
what you have done about the broken wire ?
Without buying the front cover that holds the magnet I've learned to adapt to not having 4 by 4 lol.
Wow so you did all for absolutely nothing
