I think people need limitations for things and that's why people don't like people who say "You can get me anything". I have heard so many artists talk about how they hate when a client just says "anything" because it doesn't help them there are too many things to do. Agree with the Field Notes. They are so bad! But the hardcover book are very durable. But I carry mine in jacket pocket or bag... I have some Moleskine, but prefer the Leuchtturm1917 equivalent. and the composition books are too small. - I do sometimes get on vacation them and writes on 2 lines . and when I come back home, I transfer anything importent to an A5 for storrage.

I will say tho, it's a shame the ZipMate is a bit of a copy of the Pocket Tool Pouch from Hitch and Timber :/ I also am not sure if the massive hole in it and the other smaller ones are a sign of durability, cannot imagine how it'll look in another year. Another banger! I’ve never really thought of buying an EDC pouch until I watched the video through and realized I had something like this! No notebooks inside though, just things I always like to have on me as a woman - my essentials. I switch this little bag into every larger bag and purse I carry, and I’m thinking of getting a smaller one for my more smaller bags. On that note, I’m now onto my second pocket notebook! It’s an A7 spiral and my previous one was an A7 hardcover mini composition. I’m thinking of buying one of each again before making a decision on which is my favorite and sticking to just the one. Or maybe start a culture where a pair is different, since I’m enjoying both so much. Would you mind giving us a tour of one of your pocket notebooks? So far, I’m finding myself micro journaling inside mine. Sometimes, I do some numbers if I need to, or write down story ideas and stuff. I've thought about using one of my many makeup or pen pouches to hold a pocket notebook and pen. It's a really cool concept. But I recently found a pocket notebook that works better than the one I was using, no pouch necessary! It was $5 at Walmart. It's a hardback spiral-bound that is short and square. It fits in most of my pockets surprisingly well. The best part: a regular pen fits perfectly in the spiral! So far, I haven't had any issues with the button getting clicked. I figure I'll cross that bridge if I come to it. If I have to, I might switch to a capped pen, but only if I have to. Other than that, it's exactly what I've been needing! My only issue with it is the width--it does get a little awkward sometimes getting it into and out of my pocket. But it fits, like I said, surprisingly well, much better than my old one. So, I'm happy! Speaking of happy, I'm happy that you have found something that works so well for you. And who knows--I might end up getting my own ZipMate anyway at some point. Guess we'll see! Yessss I have been waiting for a 1 year review 👏👏👏👏👏 I'm reslly enjoying mine but I feel like the top inside of the pouch might beed some type of accordion style piece to widen the pouch when you open it. That's pretty much my only issue with the Zipmate.

The cleanest edges can be made with exacto knife against a metal ruler. You hold the ruler in place and you run the blade against it. And don't press the blade hard, let the sharpness do the work and do multiple passes. You'll get the hang of it.

just because its not flat, it looks terrible to writon it, I have a book that looks like that its not a moleskine and its terrible to write a lot on it because it does not stay flat on the table., for me field notes sounds to be the best, and the part that wears down the cover is the part that makes me want to have a field notes more, problem is that 3 notebooks for me is like 150 bucks in my currency, to expensive.

How do you manage to buy those notebooks in bulk?
