Thank you! I’m using a Singer 141G Industrial. I think I use a few different feet in that video but I mostly use Teflon feet as they go over vinyl much easier. You can actually buy Teflon tape to put on your feet if if you can’t find actual feet. I haven’t tried it though.

I’m so sorry about your friend’s daughter, I can’t even imagine. Let me know how you go with your bag. Maybe your friend could give you one of her daughter’s old shirts, or an old doona cover or something that belonged to her to make the lining out of? Make it a memory bag? Just a thought. I’ve done a couple of those for friends in the past.

Thanks! If you made some modifications you could! Use fusible fleece instead of the medium interfacing, leave out the decovil and use all cotton woven or canvas. It wouldn’t have as much structure but it would still be a really nice bag.

I’ve been curious about the Pfatt machines. I’ve heard such good things about them.

Is it a difficult process to change out the motor? I’m thinking I might sell the 20 Y and upgrade to a newer one or maybe the light equivalent to my 141G.

@@TheLispySewer Not at all the bolt holes in the table may need to be relocated and the belt may need to be changed, but it is fairly simple.

Hmmm I might look into doing that. I was considering selling it and buying the modern version, is that the one you say you bought and it doesn’t compare? It’s a good machine to do the lighter projects on that my 141G isn’t a fan of.

@@TheLispySewer I bought a Consew moldel CN2053R, new complete with table and motor. It works but now as smooth as the original Singer 20U. I then bought a used Singer 20U33 online. swapped out the machines and it was a direct fit, with the exception of the little hinge brackets. I then decided to upgrade my original 20U with the same motor, which I bought online complete with new bolts and mounting bracket. I had to drill new holes in the table for the new mounting bracket, but it works great. The Consew is now in my cellar (RIP Consew)

My Kingmax walking foot machine is the same as the Consew 146RB. I like it, and that machine will sew through multilayers. I make a lot of bags and things, and this machine works for me. If you want a more general purpose walking foot machine then you should look into Sailrite machines.

I haven’t yet but that’s a good idea. I think I’m going to draft up a circle one for next week, that will have a different technique for the zipper in it.

A few of the ones in my background have a recessed zipper, the one with zombie girls on it does. Would you like a tutorial with one like that?

I’m pretty sure I got that from Spotlight. If you’re having trouble with curve then tape a bottle cap or something similar and circular next to your presser foot, it’ll help that fabric curve around. I have a short up on the channel showing how. Thanks again for your support!

Thank you! It’s 34 inches I think. It was the biggest one I could find. If you have a table large enough I really recommend getting the biggest one you can. It’s always a good idea to go with a brand name with the self healing mats.

It’s called ‘That Purple Thang’ no spelling mistake there either. They’re on Amazon and Temu. So handy, it’s really worthwhile getting used to sewing with one.

Hi! Thanks for watching! Yes, my Singer is a 141G industrial. You could change it up a bit for your machine, use light interfacing for the main compartment and don’t use any for the pocket. Also use a heavier needle. Or you could leave the front pocket off altogether and use a pretty fabric for the front of the main compartment side. Leave the interfacing out of the strap too. If you try let me know how it goes. Do you know what model your brother is?
