Cozumel Deep Scuba Dive 400 feet - 6 tanks (RAW)
(warning - this video is NOT exciting to watch. Absolutely nothing happens, which is exactly what we wanted.) We got dropped too shallow, because of the air consumption calculations we needed to expedite to the bottom. Did a lot more stirring up than we usually do, our bad. People ask why. Have you ever looked down, further than you were supposed to go and wondered? Me too. Well I haven't found any monsters yet, still looking down and wondering what's further down.
6 tanks, 10 minutes to get down, mandatory 2.5 hours of deco to get back to the surface. We go through the reefs and see the pretty fish and coral on the way up.

10/60 (2 tanks)

Did bro just litter at 7:06?
Hello, which certification do you need to do that? I've been to 120 feet and feels so great, I can't imagine going 400.
7:02 the guy on closed circuit pretending to drink from the bottle funny af
why your human not a submarine
What were u guys going that deep for though??
❤❤❤👌✌️👌✌️
And what's interesting about this, numbers on a computer?
No le veo nada de gracia a un buceo de esos 👎🏻
Great video. Glad you posted your dive plan. I am TDI Advanced Trimix and would love to do a deep dive like this in warm water. The last deep dive I did was on a wreck called The Kamloops off Isle Royale in Lake Superior. We did the dives in July and the water temp was 36 degrees top to bottom with no thermocline. The wreck is in 270 ft and lots of amazing stuff to see. I have been to Cozumel 3 times in the last 6 months and had a blast diving.
This is dumb people don’t do this no reason to dive 400 feet risk your life for what I’m a diver with 5 rescue dives and 147 open ocean dives and would never dive this deep
Not everybody is like you...
@@alaincaspar2148 not bragging or anything just saying life is worth more that stupid stuff
@@honeybear4675 Life as you define it. We all have different way of defining life and do things to enjoy it. Many do quite dangerous things to enjoy it. And in a way what they did is not very dangerous. It is well planed with the adequate gaz. It is much more dangerous to do deep dives, as many youngsters do, on air with no plan. I can understand most people are not attracted by those dives but I can understand some are like those who want to climb higher mountains...
@@alaincaspar2148 👍
literally nothing to see at that depth... honestly... there's literally no point...unless there was a like a sunken ship or something otherwise...booorrrinnngg
There isn’t anything to see at these depths, really. As the video shows.
Many Leviathan class creatures near are you sure what you are doing is worth it
A waste of valuable helium. 😢
What blend of trimix are you breathing at 400 feet?
that finning could be better :/
Thank you for raw footage
💗
It's interesting to see how this compares to Subnautica lol, the gradual "shelfs" as you drop down different depths
7:02 what the heck is wrong with your buddy? Destroying the ocean floor and then deploying his waste...
a kick to a random ass spot on the ocean floor 400ft down isnt gonna do shit my guy
4:46 the diver 😂
well at least they are not in a dam cave. so reckless.
Where is this?
cozumel. it is in the title
... I love the fact of descending thru the slope, somehow it feels more interesting and safe. Good video.
I dove for a couple years, and the deepest we ever went was about 70 ft in Lake Michigan on a wreck dive. Surprisingly good visibility (about 60 ft or so) but it was SO COLD, about 48F on the bottom. You could actually see the thermocline as you passed thru it at about 20 ft.. The day we did the dive it reached 104F in Chicago. I was so cold it took me the rest of the day to warm up. This dive creeps me out just watching.
Wow that's crazy. Deepest I have been is 135 feet. I don't think I would ever want to go below 250ft, even with all the proper equipment.
I don’t dive, but aren’t humans crushed like a can 300 feet under water? What am I missing...? Your suit doesn’t seem pressurized, since your hands are exposed. Regardless, wonderful video.
saturation/commercial divers go down to 400ft and below and their equipment isnt that much different, and without any really special stuff people (world record holders) have gotten to about 1000ft. from everything that has been simulated, basically anything below 1500ft is possible. but anything deeper basically requires one of those expensive ass submarine suits or else you will probably die.
Super interesting video for those who are interested in technical diving. I have two questions: What is your SAC rate and how much did you consume of your 125 cu ft Trimix 10/65 during this dive, specifically at 200+ ft? I assume you had doubles of the 10/65? How thick was your suit? Is neoprene useless at 400ft?
I’m sorry but there is nothing there but a very high risk of one or all of them dying at that depth. All the gear to surface all the risk and zero scenery? Complete waste of time. If there was something to see I can see going there but for nothing but dead coral and dead everything a fat zero!
2.5 hours of deco...god damnnnnnn This is awesome, I hope to do this someday as well and survive.
All these years later... I really hope the OC dude with all the stage tanks has learnt how to use fins by now lol :)
shit man-- thats not my world... props for the view tho im into super models fawning all over my as I make my decision on wether its gonna be a lambo or Ferrari . tonite lambo and the ginger.
What do you see at that depth? I'm thinking it's more the challenge of a six tank techical dive. That's fine if that's what your after. Just looking for the truth for this type of dive.
That is a stupidly insane of tanks holyyyy. Imagine trying to walk on land with all that kit, flippers included 💀
How long was the decompression stops?
Was it Nitrox diving. Any video of your ascent back ? What did the pressure like at 400 ?
Forgive the potentially dumb question but, how do you dive a 10/60 mix on open circuit from the surface? Wouldn't you go unconscious at shallow depths?
That’s honestly what I was wondering too! You’d think they’d at least take a puff or two of the oxygen one until at like 90 feet
You would start out using one of your breathable gasses as a "travel mix" until you get to a breathable depth of your back gas. (I am a Certified Trimix Diver). The 11% is breathable at 10meters.
You burn through all that non-renewable resource (helium) just so you could dive 300 feet past all the life you could see? Why? All it is is sandy limestone. What’s the point of this type of dive?
I dove Maracaibo 1974- for black corral - equipment watch / depth gage - plan 5 minutes at 200 feet harvest corral surface No bc no computer - beyond 150 feet you are stoned we were bad asses
Hopefully rebreather dude has learned how to not smash into coral and bottom since then.
I've just read The Last Dive and so this isn't boring, it's actually terrifying.
I was ready to talk shit about going that deep to see nothing then I change my mind when I read the description and see how we’ll explained everything was even the gases 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Been down to 40m on sidemount. Going deep just doesn’t interest me. You lose the color spectrum after 20m, no reefs and start blowing through a ton of gas. I’d rather be shallower for longer than go deep just for the sake of being deep. To each their own.
How does the breathing feel compared to 20-30m?
Everyone is impressed by the depth I’m impressed about the camera he is using at that depth. What housing are you using ? Lol
I hope I can do this someday this is very beautiful
Im curious how long do you guys go in the decompression chamber after dive like this? Or you dont?
You do not, All of the deco is in the water. (Unless of course something goes wrong).
I wonder if if you guys know s rutherford ?! I cannot understand how you could not... I wouldn't be surprised if he were in this episode.
Watching this while reading '20,000 leagues under the sea' puts a new layer to the book
chamkanaab side?
