Se débrouiller in French - what does it mean?
And French (in the south) apparently don’t find it necessary to put them on a lead… sometimes I see dogs walking themselves without an owner.
True! I also see this increasingly in the UK (where I live, anyway).
Merci d'avoir accepté ma suggestion! A rather silly question, but I still wonder, do French speakers bother to alter the language according to the pet's gender? Bon chien/Bonne chienne, Assis/assise. Would an owner of a female pet refer to "ma chienne/ma chatte? :)
Generally, no, we leave it in the masculine, unless you want to make clear that your dog/cat is a female.
How can anyone abanndone their pet ? That is really cruel
@@rolandhawken6628 i know, i just don't understand it!
Me neither, my heart was aching while listening to that part 😢
I talk to my cat in french .but he only speaks Spanish and German .and a little Latin ,which is why i suspect I never get an answer
@@rolandhawken6628 😄
Thanks!
@@malinerees4666 merci beaucoup, Maline 😊
J'adore cette vidéo, très intéressant. La caméra d'autoroute est une excellente idée. Arrêter d'aboyer est une commande dont j'ai absolument besoin! Merci 💛
Salut Claire ! J’apprécie cette leçon car j’ai un chien, il s’appelle Louie, c’est un bouledogue français 😊

Love this!!!
In English, we could also say, "in view of that."
yes, true. It's more elegant.
Bjr, J’en reviens pas que l’expression “J’en reviens pas” est suivi par le verbe au subjonctif ! Oh la la, bonjour la galère !
Salut. “Joindre” est aussi utiliser pour dire “contacter/communiquer avec quelqu’un”. - Je suis inquiet, je n’arrive pas à joindre mes parents par téléphone.
Oui, bien sûr, mais ça ne se traduit pas par "to join"
"Au coin" is VERY standard time-out for naughty children
Good one.
Thanks!
Merci beaucoup 😊
Le vidéo c'est très intérressant
Nothing to do with this video, but I was looking over your list of videos, and I don't see one regarding pets. There must be some specific words used in talking about, as well as to, household animals. I'd be curious to learn them. Would that be a subject you would consider? Thanks!
@@Utoobeedoo that's a good idea ! I will think about what words and phrases we use 🙂
When a couple has only one child, we call him or her an only child. Is the word "seul" used in this sense as well? If so, would it go before or after the noun?
@@Utoobeedoo actually, we call an only child "un fils unique" or "une fille unique".
@ Thanks! First I ever heard that. There are many firsts for me on your channel.
Excellent ...I have request plz tell how to work on vocabulary
The best thing to retain vocabulary is reading, or even using Duolingo.
