    And French (in the south) apparently don’t find it necessary to put them on a lead… sometimes I see dogs walking themselves without an owner.

    Merci d'avoir accepté ma suggestion! A rather silly question, but I still wonder, do French speakers bother to alter the language according to the pet's gender? Bon chien/Bonne chienne, Assis/assise. Would an owner of a female pet refer to "ma chienne/ma chatte? :)

      Generally, no, we leave it in the masculine, unless you want to make clear that your dog/cat is a female.

    I talk to my cat in french .but he only speaks Spanish and German .and a little Latin ,which is why i suspect I never get an answer

    Salut. “Joindre” est aussi utiliser pour dire “contacter/communiquer avec quelqu’un”. - Je suis inquiet, je n’arrive pas à joindre mes parents par téléphone.

    Nothing to do with this video, but I was looking over your list of videos, and I don't see one regarding pets. There must be some specific words used in talking about, as well as to, household animals. I'd be curious to learn them. Would that be a subject you would consider? Thanks!

    When a couple has only one child, we call him or her an only child. Is the word "seul" used in this sense as well? If so, would it go before or after the noun?
