Keiino would have done better for Norway but I'll disagree only because me, and many other people, wanted to see Norway doing something different and unique, reflective of Scandi countries. I expect Norway to turn back to sending Keiino and other pop artists after this tho...

While I agree that the margin was big in the televote, I still believe we need the juries to some extent. Without them, we would get mostly songs like Finland, Estonia, Armenia etc... there wouldn't be diversity. I am a strong supporter of 60% televote 40% juries ratio.

@@esc_victor08 If you look back at those years with public only voting there was alot of diversity in genres and countries among winners for example Molitva (heartfelt powerballad), Hard Rock Hallelujah (Metal), Take me to your heaven (melodic pop) to name but a few. I think if the jury stays it should be at 30% at most.

@@esc_victor08 haha thats not true! You can find discounter on every corner. free water everywhere from the city drinking fountains. They now search for locations. If its in zurich then the hallenstadion is around the corner where i live. You are welcome. Would be happy to meet you. I definitely will host someone next year who cant afford airbnb or hotel. But zurich is actually not worse in costs than tel aviv or malmö.

No thanks, we can't and won't win if we don't send gender benders. Your crown is hollow, enjoy it, we don't care. We're very happy with popular vote win, jury votes mean 0 to us. We will absolutely never be favored by the jury because we're not woke, and don't plan on ever becoming.

It's the same situation as last year, you are right. We needed those points from the juries to be a bit higher. Finland this year... it was something 🤣

@@lemonstealinghorse I'd say it's a bit more complex than as it seems at first because of the political situation and all the drama that went down this year. I will talk about that more in my next video but I guess I can see why the televote might be angry at Switzerland winning

@@esc_victor08 Because Switzerland adopted a low stating they only recognise 2 genders, and what do you know, there's a "non binary" candidate pushed by jury and nobody but the jury. Come on. What is the role of a jury, to know better than the public? The jury is supposed to recognise what the public will like to listen, when their votes are at such a great mismatch from the public, they're just bad and need to be fired.

Thanks for the in-depth comment. I agree that the Norwegian staging was a bit better in the NF but that result is not justified at all. The number of 12s Switzerland got is shocking considering there were other songs juries might have rewarded like France, Portugal etc. About the Netherlands... I dislike the song but disqualifying maybe wasn't the best solution. I totally agree with you. I expect him to come back if he would want to and he will be considered a fan favorite from the start. Withdrawing is also possible which is not good we're low in numbers already and if Switzerland will be as expensive as we expect, some smaller countries might give up as well...

Ukraine grew on me and I like it much more than in the NF. I am happy with out 2nd place, it's a great achievement.

Nah, it's the same as 2022 or Bulgaria 2021. Songs like that are just not appreciated by the masses. At least Portugal, Serbia and Slovenia managed to qualify.

Norway almost failed to qualify and that's something I didn't expect at all. UK staging was just a lot. I think it was unnecessarily sexualized and that turned off a lot of people, all casual viewers from my surroundings completely disregarded the song because of the performance

@@esc_victor08 hm i felt like the song was just MEH but expected that juries and televote would either love or hate (so at least some points) because it was still visually impressive. But they should've toned it down

With the Netherlands in the mix, I think the margin would have been even higher for Switzerland. Netherlands got 58 points from the juries and would have got at least 200+ points by the televote, many of which would be taken from Croatia in my calculations.

All three of them being bottom 3 qualifiers... it's a shame that proper ballads no longer get any support from the televote. Even Latvia placed better in the semi which is kinda weird in my opinion.

I think he didn't expect to qualify after the whole internet put him out and betting odds put him last. A lesson for everyone that you can succeed despite the odds.

You are right about Italy but it doesn't have a real competitor for the points. It's the only song of that style in the year and people will vote for it. I'd leave Lithuania from this list on the other hand. That's the one I donzt get getting so hyped by the fans 🤷‍♂️

Eurovision has changed a lot in the past ten years and it became much more calculated and unfair while pretending to be fair... hoping for the best in the future 🙏 thanks for your comment. Spain is often underrated and deserves better but not this year in my opinion... the song isn't really it and targets only specific group of people and is not giving much musically

@@esc_victor08 Víctor thats the point last year I have seen that specialist jury of all countries were taken by hand , most of them, Young people with no idea about music even, no coatch trainer or similar. More surprised was even they recognized they were bored about many performance or felt sleep , one of them, was of Blanca Paloma. They prefered entries like Finnland which for me, was no spectacular just in the show he did. So you said , and I agree with you, you could feel upset if this year Nebulosa get better position than Blanca, and thats right. But in Fact Chiquilicuatre got better position than Blanca and that was just offensive and sad. And that means how Eurovisión contest IS turned out all this years. What It should be mainly appretiated like a good and outstanding voice IS nowadays less valued and prefered a dummy show like Finnland again for instance this year also, or that Europapa song from Nederland too. No matter how Spain does, all comes bad critics. Its like in school when clever students no matter how bad they do their test they will be always considerated with good scores although their doing a bad test, on the country with those "bad" students which actually work harder but they have already that bad reputation that bring them always down, no matter how many efforts their doing to change that. This year after so many years bearing that, spanish public dont care so much about results as the spread of the hymn of the song defends. Freedom to be how you want to be without scared of being critized for others, in this case, used for women or others people suffer bullying in school. Artist same said meaning goes for women and all people some moment felt despised for any insult. How to take this insult back to those people saying ok you think I am a bitch just because I decide to live my life as I want. Ok then, I accept It, and I feel proud cause I am living my life in the direction that I want not what others want to.

Eurovision stare at Spain often Víctor so badly like the Mordors eye in the lord of the rings 😓🤭😂 just focus in each movement meanwhile others contenders scape and even being worse get better scores. We had a bad years when spanish fans seemed to be they lost their interest for Eurovisión, examples Manel Navarro and Chiquilicuatre. We had also a golden age, 1995 with Anabel Conde, Chanel 2022 with Slomo, Pastora Soler ten place although she deserved better place. Ruth Lorenzo another one outstanding

I still can't get over last year and that 5 points from the televote... outrageous. Rusia respond to that same night with bombs massively specially that town where one of the group required to protect. Sadly that victory provoque more obstility. So what its the sense un all this. ?
