Me playing Kim at a house concert. It written by the islandic composer Askell Masson. Sorry for the sucky audio.
One of my favorite songs. I wonder why nobody listens to it...
When did Sam Reich start conducting? ... kidding. Fabulous performance!
Beautiful ❤️
3:58 this moment reminded me at lot of Foundry by him.
Geweldige uitvoering door een evenzo orkest. Hulde.
Oh man, this took me back Played this in my high school honor band senior year. 1st trumpet part. That last section is nearly impossible to play but it is fun! And this was a great performance! Put a smile on my face!!
5:23 im glad at least percussion and the director looked like they were having fun
I wasn't here to hear your fantastic performance Thanks a lot to share your beautyfull music.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
5:12 the horns were absolutely screaming 😳
Anyone watching from 2022
I thank the bluecoats for getting me here.
Wow
What a great piece of music and what a great band.
The most Amazing piece of music
You have to admit, 3:58 becomes the best part
I could not play that if I tried!
WHY IS NO ONE PLAYING THE TRASH CAN PART
5:27 tom lady is clearly smacking the ever-living daylight out of it.
4:28 too
@3:30 you can see the trash can in the back of the frame, however during the actual trash can part the player is to the left of the camera as it is facing the tom tom girl
@Simon Walrod I can guarantee you that there was a trash can involved :) You can see it clearly in the picture at 4:32. And yes, they smacked it big time :)
Sounds great! I've got a new duet out that tops this one! Please check out Tuxedo T-Shirt here: ruclips.net/video/aKQr23ojan8/видео.html
Their attitude gives me so much chills!! (especially the clarinets hehe)

AUDIENCE CLAPS TOO EARLY
The female percussionist rocking out at 11:50 and also at 12:13 Yaaaaaaz!!!!!
5:13-5:36 The greatest moment in the history of the percussion section.
Yes. 13:27 Clarinets pavillons en air!!!!!! Absolutely beautiful.
We're going to play this on the same stage April 1th :) In the same division as them !!!! Greåker Musikkorps
Awesome! Today we can only boast of making Foundry...
Contrabass Clarinet + Contrabassoon = Epic low Reed sound.
Jake Giganti Now THATS a true low reed section 👍
brenden wol Indeed.
Do NOT omit the Bass Sax as well!!! Now THAT is a low reed section!!!
The guy in the baseball cap plays a mean bass trombone!
Indeed he did, at that point he was our oldest member and one of the cornerstones in the band. Sadly he died a few months later to cancer.
Definitely the best recording!!
Absolutely incredibly gorgeous played
That girl playing the toms is jammin'
shoot i would be too, i can barely stay in my chair rn
i agree sooooooooooooooooooooo mutch
its a shame everyone else in the band is like a statue throughout all of this, at 5:23 especially
I'm literally crying. God that was beautiful
best apshalt cocktail ever!!!!! beats all of the others
The original recording with the MSU band is the best, but these guys are no slouch!
this is speechless
13:27 is so great. My heart fluttered, like WHOA.
Make sure to check out our Frozen Cathedral from the same competition. ruclips.net/video/BiHd5lptk7w/видео.html
Make sure to check out our Asphalt Cocktail as well :) m.ruclips.net/video/Ty6kSvfhm3M/видео.html
Wow, this is almost better than U of NC Greensboro and that is the best recording by far
+Justin Ashley This is live. Live at the Norwegian nationals for Wind Bands 2016
John Mackey is from another planet! and I mean that in a most positive way :-)
Hauntingly beautiful
@ksyolelov My French is rusty at best. Would you mind to write your comment in English so I can understand it? :P Cheers!
Seems youtube isn't happy about URLs. Google 'kim for snaredrum publisher' and you will find a link to the publishers website where you can order it :) Good luck!
Very good work! Check out my son's practice session 3 video. He is still working on it, though he will stick to the less than optimal rolls at certain places for now. Again, great job.
I heard her live playing Konzertstück. The roll was even boring for me...hehe
I dont have a video of Prim Im afraid. Just dont listen to what Evelyn Glennie is doing with the piece... That is for me a really weird interpretation and doesnt work for me.
Thanks mate... I wish you all the luck. Its a fun piece to reherse, but it really gets on your nerves sometimes. I even dreamt about it ;)
the most accurate performance on youtube. Schick's is far too inaccurate for me and although it is so hard to follow i followed every bit of your playing in time with the score. Firstly how long did it take you to learn it and secondly how did you figure out those complicated polyrhythms? (for instance bar 28 with the 5:3 semiquavers (16ths) against demisemis (32nds)). O...and very well played :)
Its a very interesting piece to study. I wish you all the luck and play with a hard-on. I know I did!
Sweet dude, nice job playing
Yeah.. I used the hard filt ones. Vic Firth? Don't remember the name. I felt that wooden mallets would be too loud in that auditorium. Thanks for popping by :)
