2024 is leagues better, lots of shots in the earlier version look too much like typical anime. dungeon meshi has developed a great style and unique look. only scene thats better in the old version is the kraken honestly

Chilchuck on the 4th floor might be a reference to how he got hired by Laios’ party! The adventurer’s bible mentions that Dandan, Laios’ original picklock, doesn’t go past the 3rd floor of the dungeon, and most other picklocks won’t touch the 4th floor because of how dangerous it is. He introduces Laios to Chilchuck, the union boss & most experienced half foot picklock on the island, and Chilchuck gets them past the 4th floor.

sometimes, attack on titans foreshadowing is just throwing mass spoilers in your face, but you are too focused on something else, and plus these spoilers are just hints at the time, because you don't know what they mean. so attack on titan is just holding the plot just out of reach and only gives it to you when you are truly invested.

I think for 2019 version, it was for an advertisement, thus a short term project, to which allows more creative and financial liberty in the cost in an effort to draw attention and hook in potential audience, while for 2024 version, it is for an Anime, thus a long term project, so they have to be more frugal in their resources as well as cut some corners in a effort to stay in budget in the long haul.
