In the Korea Occupation Area 1946-48
A few photographs from the collection of my late father-in-law Robert Wilson Murphy who served in Co. L, 3d Bn. 20th Infantry Regiment. This slideshow covers his service from 1946-48 in Korea (including visits to Japan) during the World War II occupation by the 6th US Infantry Division. The 20th Infantry Regiment was posted at Kwangju, Korea. The names and captions provided were those written on the back of the photographs by Murphy.

Brentwood TN Tornado Christmas Eve 1988

Nashville News Channel 2 report on the tornado that struck Franklin and Brentwood, Tennessee on December 24, 1988.
Never, ever should there be tornadoes in December at Christmas. I hate it when that happens and the ingredients needed keeps it from feeling like Christmas.
Tecmo Bowl
14:22 Randall McDaniel blew up Mike Singletary. I met Randall last year before the home opener. Super nice guy, with hands the size of catchers mitts.
Can someone please turn back the clock for me? I want Hank Williams Jr doing the intro to MNF again please!
Dude I knew Jack Del Rio was a coach, but never saw him actually playing. I was 7 in 1992..
a 5 and 11 finish for the 1992 Bears was truly horrific
"It's been 32 years of brutal football!!!" And now, 32 years later, I'm watching this game again. Love this.
Gannon’s consistency was sexy
Sexy ???????
Awesome video 📹 👏 thanks for the video
I actually watched this game, I was in sixth grade! Lol
It is so weird seeing commercials trying to convince people that they need anti-lock brakes again 😅
Vikings all but officially clinched the Division in the first meeting at the Metrodome with that comeback win, this game is what sent the Bears season to an end.
1:38:14 Amazing to hear these comments from Dierdorf regarding Gannon, knowing that 10 years later, he would win the NFL’s MVP title, and would be playing in the Super Bowl with the Raiders! I feel like the Vikings should’ve kept Gannon around after 1992, especially after winning 11 games & a division title (I say that as a Packers fan believe it or not!), because he could’ve been something with them in that offense. To move on from him, to the aging Jim McMahon in 1993, and then after that Warren Moon in 1994, was a mistake IMO. No, Gannon’s stats in 1992 weren’t all that impressive, but it was only 1 year with Green as the coach… there easily could’ve been room to grow.
Wow
ditka shot his wad in 85 and what a wad it was
50:56 singletary with the whiff lol
41:50 shades of montana marshall
you're almost assured the 1st down or getting into the endzone if mcdaniel is playing fullback
Amazing glimpse of the transition from Japan to US military control. The vintage shots in some cases reflect that in 1946 the clothing and outward Korean culture had retained Japanese elements. Gone now. Thank you for these rare photos.
My father was in the I and R Platoon G Company 20th Regiment 6th ID. I have some photos, but there not of the quality you have. The one thing I noticed in your slide was the tank destroyers. All of my father's photos there are no heavy weapons or vehicles just Jeeps. I also noticed the men wearing rank insignias I can only find photo of a Sergeant wearing his. Great slide show enjoyed it alot.
This was when games weren't controlled by officiating, lopsided games are rare now.
I was woken up by the noise at ~7AM near Moores Lane and I-65.
You can never replace Joey Browner.
This includes non-football places such as store lines & the dinner table.
I was there for HUGO . l very good people there 1 week flew me there and put me on tour bus we escorted by hiway patrol to each state border WILD
VIKINGS had a ton of talent.. Dennis Green knew how to put a team together. They had on the bench DLineman Culpepper, Barker, Robert Harris, etc.
Dennis Green and Mike Ditka- 2 NFC Central Division ships passing in the night. Green's first year with MIN, Ditka's last season in CHI.
Here are the college football games ABC plugged for November 7: Wisconsin at Michigan State Washington at Arizona Alabama at LSU Louisville at Texas A&M
Some great players were in this game! Roger Craig! Rich Gannon, Jack Del Rio! Jim Harbaugh! Randle, Doleman, Singletary Ron Rivera!
the hard rock track used in the intro was used only in 1992, and only on select games for the rest of the Frank and Al and Dan era, Heavy Action would be used exclusively in Gifford's storyline intros (games played in late October 1994-96 used a special version of that tune called "Scary Action", an organ-based version designed to invoke a Halloween atmosphere)
My orthodontist had an office in Franklin at the time this particular tornado hit pretty close.
A Bears ass-whuppin by the Vikes
Luv my Vikings, fan since 1970 , it's August 20/20 horrible year ,I love the NFL,but this disrespectful kneeling ,tunes me out . America first Trump 20/20 maga baby
Vikes should have NEVER let Gannon go
Dan Dierdorf was such a cringe announcer. Oh, by the way, he blatantly implies that Tony Dungy lobbied the NFL for more false start penalties in an attempt to justify the Bears getting a false start penalty. 27:54
The obvious question has to be were the Bears who Dennis Green thought they were in this game?
Did Harbaugh go on to have a career, then, or was this all she wrote?
Playing-wise, all she wrote. Unless you count a really mediocre stint in Indianapolis
@@iwanttoseemrshow Harbaugh led the NFL in passer rating in 1995, finished 2nd in MVP voting, and if Aaron Bailey holds onto the Hail Mary in the 1995 AFC Championship Game, the Colts qualify for Super Bowl 30. The Colts have an "AFC Runner-up" banner commemorating that season which before the Peyton Manning era was the big Colts highlight going back to the beginning of the late 1970s and through their early years in Indianapolis.
A lot of players here who became head coaches: Ron Rivera, mike singletary, mike tice and jack del rio
And Jim harbaugh
Talent wall to wall. Just amazing how good these two teams were, both just needed a good qb.
No hot tub interview
Anthony Carter and Webster Slaughter were my two favs both on underdog teams. Both should have made super bowl appearances.
Great Game, No Sympathy for the Bears
WCTI and WTVD days!!!! Monday Night Football at its best!!!
Thank you so much for sharing. I’ve not got any of my old VHS recordings of the Vikings. This has been a real trip down memory lane as a UK Minnesota fan. SKOL
i notice that at 23:03 when the stats sometimes shows up the Bears' head logo appears. but yet some of the claims say it was introduce in 1999. the game here is in 1992. why is that.
The Bear head is an alternate logo that has been around since the 60’s. There have been different variations over the years, slight change in color, C behind head...
Del Rio, Rivera, Singletary, and Tice all playing in this game. All became head coaches.
Tice was allegedly an HC...
Jack Del Rio and Mike Singletary both coached Ray Lewis
Vikings tight end Mike Tice became the Vikings head coach a decade later.
At 9 minutes Larry Robenson on a JD B is pull starting Carl Baldwin’s 1939 JB H Dickie Albright in the yellow shirt is assisting.
I was in that parade
I watched this live and I remember the intro. I probably still have the game on VHS lol. What a game for Vikings fans.
