New project i will be working on. Currently its a stock 4.8 with cold air intake, throttle.body spacer, shorty headers. Built 4l60 with 2800 stall. Will.be installing a ls9 cam, long tube headers, 243 heads milled .030 ported n polished, tbss intake, 60lb injectors, tru cool trans cooler, 4.11 gears, posi with bearing kit, new lifters etc.

Hey man. Did you ever pull a trailer in this truck with this cam. I know its a horrible cam for pulling trailers. Im just curious if it was still able to is all or if it didnt have the ass down low.
No I never pulled a trailer with it but I'm sure with a 3.73 or 4.10 gear it will do it no issues.
@@yunghogg88 hey thanks a million for the reply. Just got a blown up avalanche for 300$ and im dropping a used 5.3 in it with a cam and converter for a quick flip. But im gonna drive it for a while before i sell it. I dont haul a lot of stuff. I was just curious if it was to much cam for the occasional dump run with the yard trailer. @@92frchldi have this cam on my 13 sierra with a 3000 stall and stock 3.42 gears and ive pulled trailers and its kind of a dog at low end

It did but there's no need for it. I kept my stock one on.

What size and thread kind of bolts did you use to remove the pulley man?
Inside in the center it has 3 threaded holes, you have to use the crows foot style puller and use some 5/16-18 thread pitch bolts to pull it off

Did u pressed the pulley althe way in or is there like a gap u have leave on the underdrive pulley gm calls for 240 ft lbs of torque I got an underdrive pulley im not sure if i should just tighten the bolt cause i might push it in to far inn that the other pulleys won't lined up
U pretty much press it in all the way and all the pulleys will line up and what i do when i put the bolt in with an impact just tightened it down. I dont ever go with those torque specs and never had any issues

Is there a reason why you upgraded to the Walbro 450 or did your old fuel pump just give out on you?
Just wanted to make sure i had enough fuel since i was running bigger injectors
Im sure the stock fuel pump wouldve supported it but also u cant run e85 on stock.one
@@yunghogg88 oh really? I’m looking into doing e85 on my 2000 4.8 and I just installed 50lb injectors but didn’t want to have to upgrade fuel pumps lol guess I’ll have to but I’ll probably go with the Walbro 255

How much was it to get the heads ported? U have 862 heads on my 4.8 I’ve been wanting to port but not sure what the difference is between .15 .25 and .30 as far as the head mill work go

Can you run your stock pushrods for this cam
I would not. Higher rpm are not good for stock rods. They'll bend. I got a stage 3 216/220 I believe and I was recommended by texas speed to get hardened rods.

Thats 20ft with a variety of fittings. But you can buy 10ft or whatever meets your needs

It can be regular fuel hose with hose clamps. Personally i like the braided look better
