I got a cool shot of GP40MC 1126 idling on North Station's Track 10 with the Zakim Bridge above it in the background. I then changed position to catch it leaving with its 6 car all single level set.

MBTA Middleborough Line through Crossing near Bridgewater Station
As of October 2021, the MBTA owned 108 locomotives. Of these, 80 were in active passenger service and two used for work service. Eleven were undergoing rebuild, ten awaiting repairs, one leased to MBTA for non-revenue service to rescue broken down trains and three retired or out of service. As of November 2024, the MBTA owned 109 locomotives. Of these, 87 were in active passenger service. Ten were undergoing rebuild, seven being repaired or overhauled and five retired or out of service.
hi
Didn’t know that TD Garden was right above the station! Go Celtics!
Any idea what that horrible creaking sound the train was making is? It was very common to hear that sound before the type 7’s were overhauled, but as I rode on the overhauled trains, I noticed some were still making that horrible creaking noise. I would’ve thought that the overhaul would had fixed that, perhaps I was wrong. 😂
I believe its the sound of the articulation in the middle of the cars repeatedly extending and retracting as the trolley goes up and down slight inclines and goes through curves
What camera do you use for your other videos?
Wow, a trains channel. Never thought I'll see one.
theres thousands, like mine
0:13 You can actually see the engineer pointing at him
Jesus Chirst the hsp46 has a loud horn 😮
Niiiiiice Kid! Grand Slam Out Of The Park⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️
Thanks Man!
I need that horn in my car. Greetings from Germany. ;)
That was an amazing video
So many double-deckers! We get about one-per-train up on the north side! Also, how do you get so many beeps? They almost never beep at me when I'm filming!
Amazing video
That was an amazing video
nice
Was he ( mr F40 )operating both inbound and outbound?
I only saw him running outbound on Kingston 053 (the first train on video)
that was an amazing video and as always awesome content on this channel
Thank You!
@@mbrproductions160 u are welcome 😊
Another fouled piece of crap. Does not sound like 1053’s horn unlike the testing. Have to find out when it’s at a crossing which horn it is.
1034
I can tell by the squeal that it is indeed 1034 with the choke
@@F40-RULES nah now horn king has it
Nerfed
Indeed.
At the first crossing, interesting to see the gate having that pole support on the end open during the summer; usually the railroad opens them on the winter, so the gates don't sag too much from the ice and snow.
Some of gates do have pole supports, If you look at videos from Franklin MA, you'll notice that one of the gates at the First Rail Road Crossing about 20 yards away from the Forge Park/495 station, one of those gates has a pole support as well.
Wow, so many double deckers on one train. Clearl you are not on the North side :P
Yeah, these are the Old Colony Lines, which are like the Newburyport/Rockport Line of the South Side
So you were the one I saw last Friday? Interesting that you saw me catch the last train before I left.
Oh snap, I didn't know that was you, its cool that we saw each other that day!
Nice video!
Thanks Tom! I love your content, I have been watching it since I was little!

A whole train full of double-deckers, clearly you are on the South side not the North side. If we get one per train, we're lucky.
Yup. This was shot just north of the North Quincy Red Line Station, which is on the section of the Red Line that runs parallel to the Middleborough Main.
I like all the sound effects!
I didn’t add any sound effects to this video. I assume that by sound effects you mean that you like the audio of the locomotive’s prime mover and horn, in which case I totally agree!
@@mbrproductions160 I mean the non-quiet-zone street crossings. Not many of those on the lines near me.
@@JohnsTrainVideos Oh yeah, I completely agree! I hate quiet-zones with a passion, the north side is full of them.
Does anybody say anything if you hand out on the platforms at North (or South) station shooting videos? Or does everyone know what you're doing and nobody cares? If it's all good, I may have to go hang out there some day with my camera!
Most of the time nobody says anything when they see me. Sometimes a conductor or engineer will tell you that you aren’t allowed all the way up there and will send you back but that has only happened to me twice.
@@mbrproductions160 "all the way up" where exactly? Just past the locomotive but still on the public part of the platform?
@@JohnsTrainVideos Yes.
Yikes!! that locomotive has a huge dent in front!
Yeah, 1059 has had that dent on its nose since 2006, I believe it hit either a truck or a tree and was never repaired. Now 1059 is at MPI being rebuilt into an F40PH-3C, so when it returns the dent will most likely be gone.
Nice! When was the corridor clipper video taken?
What happened to 1136
I wasn't sure why it wasn't on the consist either, but it was cool to see a GP40MC in the proper scheme running revenue service on the south side again.
The 1136 was having issues, and has been assigned to the Readville Switcher. It appears that 1119 could be the new northbound engine for the rest of the season.

Fantastic footage
Thanks Eastern!
Love these type of videos how often do you upload new videos
MBB cars are definitely rare nowadays: however the cars from CTRail will return soon.
Two loco's for 4 passenger carriages?
The locomotive in the rear was not running and was only there to serve as backup in case the leading locomotive had mechanical issues.
I heard the new red line cars are already deteriorating! Blame cheap manufacturing practices.
You heard right, these Chinese cars have been a complete disaster for the MBTA, they really should have went with another bidder.
porter looks good with all those trains around. nice video too 😀👍🏻
what? no sleeper cars out of Boston?
Awesome video
Thank you! Much appreciated
Nice scene of the new Chelsea station
Why on wrong track should be on right hand side not left weird
There was track work on the outbound Track, so all trains were running on the left-hand track facing outbound that day.
They should have pass machines for sl 3 and commuter rail so people can buy monthly pass not have go in to north station or airport station to buy pass it a pain
What town is this and what is these trains called?
This is Boston, The subway is called MBTA
That’s the best shave and haircut from a 1600 control car
Wow
Nice shots 👌
Thank You!
