GUILDFORDGHOST - MAIN ACCOUNT GOING INTO YOUTUBE LOCKDOWN UNTIL MARCH (24th January 2022)
Hi everyone. Rather like a medically induced coma, I've decided shutting down my main GuildfordGhost account (not this one) until the first copyright strike ends in early March is going to be better for my sanity and will ensure my channel doesn't get terminated. It's the only way to make sure I don't get any more copyright strikes until the first one has expired.

From a home movie I shot at Crookham Juniors when I was 10! To go back to it decades later and try to add titles so whatever you're seeing makes sense was quite a job. It was particularly difficult to try and treat it seriously.

My brother and I inherited our late grandfather's ciné camera. This is in an era when filming anything was still rare and costly, of course. This is the first thing my brother filmed. Like all these sorts of films, it has an idea and doesn't go anywhere and gets weird. He used me and a guy he knew at school to be in it. Channel on self-imposed lockdown due to the nasty gent who owned copyright on the three-part Channel 5 Fred & Rose West documentary. He issued multiple strikes rather than one. If I got another strike in a three-month period, I lose my account, so I've shut the main one down until they expire in early September. The only ones I've got up are some of the most popular uploads I made myself that can't possibly get a strike. Come back in six or seven weeks and everything will be back to normal. This account here is my skeleton/duplicate.

Ah, such wonderful, vivid memories... blue water, sunny skies, sailing in our Seaview One Design [No 61] during the warm summers - but then, inevitably, a grey Solent and the dark, chilly sky that hung over our Christmas holidays - with brisk walks along the Duver, then back home for tea! My word... that was 60 long years ago. How very lucky we were! (PS: What is the lovely music you've added?)

Hi Caroline. Don't worry - it's not gone. It's in hibernation until the start of September. I had two deliberately damaging copyright strikes from a copyright owner of a 23-year-old TV programme. If I got a third, my account would be gone so, for the third time, I have to put my channel into hibernation until the start of September when those copyright strikes expire. Then it will all be back to normal.

@@championthewonderhorse9733 Hello. This is actually a video about a previous blocking. However, yes - my channel is currently in hibernation until the two current blocks by a fairly malicious copyright owner (the three part documentary on Fred and Rose West from Channel 5 in 2001) expire in early September. Everything is still there, and will be viewable again once I restore it.

Ha ha....he says, at the end, that the towers were built by the monks for somewhere to hide from the Vikings. The towers were there before Christianity came to Ireland. It was formerly a Pagan religious site. The Christians took over the Pagan sites and that's why you always find Christian monasteries beside round towers. The monks weren't stupid, they knew that if the locked themselves in a round tower, the Vikings would pile trees around it and burn them out. Instead, the monks ran into the thick forests, that covered Ireland back then, and escape the Vikings. The forests were destroyed by the English and the wood was exported to England, to build ships and houses.

This was open every day of the year from what I remember. I visited with a girlfriend in my teens during the winter season 77/78 and it was dead , no customers . Its was a labyrinth with low beams at head height, no windows , staircases. we'd got half way round and all the lights went out. They would turn off the lights if the place was empty to save money. Pitch blackness , spooky as f. Creepy waxworks. And low roof beams. It would have made a good start for a horror movie .
