So you want to buy the cheapest dirt bike on the internet? Lets talk about that...
Even the top names can’t get the fuel injection right. What makes people think it would be good or even ok at best. The only reason they went to ego is because of the epa. Carbs are great and well tuned aftermarket efi is awesome.
Is that a Templar? 🤣🤣🤣
I bought the m model. It comes Tuesday...not many videos on it. But I'll post some. I usually ride my surron Lbx 72v to work. Now I can paint it and work on it while I have the Templat250 M. Like and subscribe... ride around WA soon..
The secret is out😮
I bought a 2024 X model. I have changed the spark plug and that makes it easier on starting and generally all over the RPM range. If you don't mind and have the know how you will need to adjust your suspension for the type of riding that you do. For the money it's hard to find a used bike for double the amount of this new bike. Also I have a new carb to put on this winter. I would say for what you pay for the bike you can afford to do some upgrades and have a nice machine.
hey man great video thank you so much. was on the fence and you made the decision easy. want a bike that is cheap and can rip around some fields and also on side road. seems like the perfect fit
I got one and your videos did help.... it comes in today!
I believe gave up my zx6r for a thumper
I'm going to order one next week. I've been thinking about it for about six months now. Time to give it a try! Now, this bike is cheaper than what a Suzuki DR250S was back in 1992. I remember wanting a DR250 back then, but they were 3200 dollars back in '92. Now we have these chinese xpro bikes for around 1500, that's crazy! So if it scores a "C" that's just fine! Less than half the price of a Japanese bike 30 years ago! I know it's not going to be the same quality but for that price if it runs ok and holds up ok I'm going for it.
Go one for $70 for my son
Take the mirrors off in the woods.. Great bike and great review.
Hey brother you was talking bout the governor on this bike where is it even at in the transmission? Thanks
will they ship to the uk
I don't know how much work has been done to them but I've seen alot of Hondas with 50,000 miles on them. Needless to say, i am not giving that much money for a honda anyway. I will take my chances with the China bike.
NGL i dont want the Templar for street riding. I want it because it has a bigger engine and more power than the Titan which is a 232cc engine vs a 249...cc engine and the Templar supposedly having 5HP more power I just want it for a cheap trail bike lmao. It just makes more sense to buy this vs the Titan. Ill never use it on the street most likely. This is my opinion. I own a Tracer 9 GT and i have rode a Titan 250 from this company and i had fun on the Titan 250 so if you want to go off this review then so be it. For the money it makes a fun weekend warrior dirtbike.
Is this the Xpro 250X? or the newest model?
If you do another video on this bike, can you stand next to it and tell us how tall you are? That would really help. Thank you!
Nice Idaho plate 😂
Sea foam won't prevent ethanol fuckery, you need an additive that has PEA in it, the more the better.
XProUSA ... made in China! Venom pays RUclipsrs for positive reviews 👎
Is the engine a copy of the xr250 ?
These bikes are no KTM 1290 Adventures, but they do provide just as much fun. Sure if you have 20 grand to blow, then buy the fancy stuff. But you’re not going to have a more enjoyable time. Probably less because now your stressed to break your bike and your pocket book took a serious beating. I ride to get away from stress, to clear my mind, and escape the rat race. And these cheap dirt bikes perform exceptionally well for those purposes! Ride on, and stay rubber side down!
I’ve got the traimaster version tm35 it’s exactly the same. Super fun bike. I’ve crashed multiple times, beat the heck out of it, ride it pinned 99 percent of the time, and the darn thing just keeps running! It’s definitely far from perfect though. Chain sucks, headlight went out, broke most of my engine mounts and bolts, broke tank mount, front forks suck, seat is uncomfortable, and I’m sure there are more cons. However would definitely buy again. I’ve bought old used bikes, 95 dr650 doesn’t run no compression, 99 Yamaha xt225 doesn’t run no spark, Yamaha yz250f barely runs. The jap bikes are way better brand new, but I can’t afford them.
You have a Motocheez keychain?
I got my girls the xpro 125's and getting my twin boys these cause the titan dlx is out of stock. Im in wa and currently looking for orv spots to go camping and riding.
Absolutely agree! Been riding and racing for decades with all of the usual brands, still ride major brands for trials and singletrack. I picked up a Templar X last spring in a moment of frustration with my local Honda dealers and couldn't be happier with it. I upgraded to a Nibbi carb and an RK chain and havent looked back. That being said if your a "bring it to the dealer" type of rider its probably better to avoid these bikes as they do require more attention than a major brand but if you like basic tinkering they are quite enjoyable. For those curious the performance is similar to an old school Honda XR200-250 with better chassis geometry and suspension. These things are so decent that one of my singletrack riding group has purchased one after spending a day on mine so we can do some BDR routes together this summer.
I bought this model Templar and I really like it. The bike works completely fine, for the cost its a bargain. Once I rode a DR200 From western Washington to Montana and back on a Two week Moto trip, packed all my camping gear and tools, I had a great trip 👍 Got there and back no problem, I just stuck to the FS roads and off the beaten path, this bike is completely capable of the same kind of trip no problem. I completely get what you are saying, you don’t need to break the bank to have a good time, unless however you’re one of those people that like space man gear, heavy 800lb bikes that takes two people to pick up when you drop it in the campground next to your tent. 😂
Hey Mike, One Of Your Subscribers Here. Can't Wait For You To Do Another Video On Your X-Pro 150. Thank You. (Like #3)
When you discuss these bikes please mention seat height..crucial to some of us!
You’re right! You don’t need to spend a lot of money to have fun. I was looking at the Templar x or m, but they were sold out. I ended up getting a Trailmaster 35 250cc and it’s an awesome bike for the money. I also did the nibbi 28mm carb upgrade. The carb is greatttttt!!!
Are you in central or north Idaho?
Love this series. Thanks for it!
A lot of ignorance on display here 🤷♂️
@@powderhorn4043 I have seen ignorant fugh's on both ends of the shit show we're wading thru today ☹️( but I do vote rep , even though too often I have to hold my nose while doing it )
@@mikeandrews1899 You really love traitors, dictators, frauds, rapists and liars, aren't you?
Great bike, i got one a 2023, alot of fun.
I love the part where you fired it up and rode it for us
I owned the cousin bike to yours (XPro Titan 250). I ran the heck out of it and chose it because it was way lighter than the Hawk 250. I had to fix some things, but for a cheap trail bike (essentially a copy of the Honda 230), it was hard to beat.
That brand is actually the only Chinese dirt bike brand to make something higher than a 250 which is a 300cc, I’m interested in checking that one out
Are we really comparing an air cooled POS knockoff of a 1970's era honda to a 150HP rocketship with heated seat and cruise control?!? I'm with you on the pricing and marketing going off the rails these days. But you clicked on the wrong tab on the Honda website. This thing has about as much in common with an Africa Twin as NYC does with that slice of heaven where you are riding.
First comment! And you convinced me to by myself a Templar X 250!! Coming in from Amazon next Tuesday! Love the content brother!!
THATS AWESOME!! LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES! Also, remember that YOU are the auto-dealership in this case, so do a FULL PMCS of the bike once its together. Look for ANY loose bolts or spokes for real. And use up a FULL bottle of blue lock tight on it. Also, remember to change the oil before you turn the engine over even one time. Thats important and people often forget. HAVE A BLAST BROTHER AND KEEP ON ROLLIN!
can you possibly link the place you got your templar X? I am only finding the titan
@@SeaMonkey-qy7ri Most definitely!! I want to make a few clips on me putting it together and all the little things I may come across. And yes 100% listening to your videos and others everyone says to blue lock tight the bolts, grease what you can, and definitely change the oil out before turning it over. Definitely looking into getting the Nibbi PE30 carb (also for those other xpro riders) the nibbi will have a little better room for the carb on the Templar X! I’ll keep you updated on my thoughts about the bike my friend! Thank you again for the great videos and awesome information!!
@@UUas_Ho0man my friend! I did about 15 mins of looking and I cannot find them on Amazon at all! I looked at my link I used on Amazon for the Templar x and it now says currently unavailable. I’d say keep an eye on it for it to become available again. I’ll still send the link for the unavailable one for you!
@@GIZMOTOSWFL Yeah i figured that was the case, i was looking through and couldnt find it. Thank you for checking and letting me know anyway though! have fun and ride safe out there
How much do you think and Adventure Bike (tm) should cost?
An adventure bikes proper cost depends upon the financial situation of the buyer. It should cost enough to be reliable but not enough to hurt you should it be lost, damaged or stolen during your adventure. There is a place for BMW GS's and a place for Templars, I could have either but for my brand of fun a Templar X is the clear winner (zero stress, all fun).
Thanks for the vids, they are very helpful. I'm in the process of deciding right now between the Templar and Titan. What are your thoughts on the Templar vs Titan and the 6 speed version of the Templar? Ride safe 🤙
Definitely get the Templar. Its got longer suspension amongst some other things I've observed. But, really you probably cant go wrong with either.
73% was a D in my school district. 69 was an E+ lol
Entry level dirt bike guy cracked me up 😂 I raced and rode for a long time but I’ve just as much time off the bike.
One thing that I haven't seen in any of the vid's on these Chinese 250's is fuel consumption. So a quick estimate on how many miles to a tank would be helpfull.
get around 80 miles offroad to the tank on my fs250
Came here for genuine info about this bike and had to hear this guy ramble on with corny ass jokes for 4 minutes before I gave up. I'll check another page for reviews... thanks for wasting my 4 minutes of life
How big are you? Id like to get one but i feel like i might be to big for it im 6'2" 230
Thanks for the update and glad you survived the fall down the mountain doh! My Templar M arrives Monday. The M version comes with forks off (I think) so contemplating putting in 15w fork oil - or should I just ride it stock first? I’m 220lbs. Also gonna replace chain with a gold primary when I build it. Got some hand guards. I have the same helmet: color and graphics 👍 with camo orange tinted goggles. Stoked!!
How did it go? I'm the same weight thinking of buying one
What state did you buy this from?
biden has done more for this country in last 3 years than any repub has ever done.
I agree with a few things here. One being making videos 101..there’s a time for panning 360 and it’s NOT ALL THE TIME! Two, it needs a new chain immediately
Love how you say the Big FOUR and not Big 5…Those Green Machine guys are pissed!
How would you compare this Templar to the Trailmaster TM? Is it possible they are coming from the same manufacturer? They look so close in parts. My guess is they both are using that Expired KTM patent design. I can’t imagine those are different frames. They match side by side. What do you think, is one better than the other?
I've never had the Trailmaster, I'm afraid. Sorry
I have the trailmaster tm35. It’s exactly the same. The company that makes them is Zuma.
Yes all that Zuma brand man if could jst import 30 units lol there are quite a few really awesome Chinese bikes I could def try ......look at a rmz 250 I'm pretty sure the trailmaster and these are cloned from them and a few ktm styling ..I've do e alot of research on importing some of these are going for 1000 a peice but gotta by 10 plus units in most cases then tarifs shipping etc.
