I looked at a couple of your videos. It appears you have a good bit of knowledge on engines/transmisiions. Your videos would be much better if you explained more of the processes in detail rather than a timelapsed recap. Just my opinion... I could have learned a lot, but learned little to nothing.

Also I have a different crossmember in my truck that’s shaped differently and I had to make a spacer to attach it to the crossmember

I’ve got a similar setup I’m trying to get going in a square body truck, I have a holley terminator x and a 6l80e with a np 205, and apparently the controller will not support the newer t43 transmission computer, I wonder what your doing for engine control? Stock reworked harness and computer? And I almost want to go back to stock computer because Holley apparently doesn’t support 4x4

1988 was the first year for the trip odometer in both the square bodies & new OBSs. Also in 1988, the 4.3 litre V6 & 305 V8 were dropped on the square bodies.

1983 was the last year for the windshield wiper switch on the dash & the high beam low beam switch on the floor. In 1984, both switches were moved up to the steering column. Those square body models were built from 1973 - 1991 except the plain cab pickups "half ton & three quarter ton models only" were finished in 1987, & the one ton plain cab pickups & medium duty models were finished in 1989.

I wish they still made standard work trucks maybe they would be affordable.

Why did you need a new TCM in the 6l90?

Good work. Which engine and motor mounts did you use? Did you keep the exhaust manifolds, or did you swap them with Hooker Blackheart LT swap exhuast manifolds?

FYI, you can swap your 170 amp alternator with a 220 amp one from a diesel. There is also a dual alternator bracket you could use (Alternator and Power Steering Pump Bracket - GM (12652395). Would you be open to selling one of your 32 spline 205's? I am in illinois. It is for my 72 K% L8t swap.

I am in the middle of doing my 72 K5 with an L8t. I am struggling to decide whether I want to go Holley Term x max for gen 5, convert to ported and use Term x max for gen 4 or pay the outrageous cost to unlock my factory ecm to run HP tuners. I am tuning in to see how yours goes. You going 4wd or 2wd? which trans? EDIT>>> JUST watched your other video. 6 speed and np205.
