I'm Caroline 👋🏻. I've been married for 12+ years and we have two sweet and energetic boys. Between the pandemic, moving, job changes, and the introduction of our second child, our marriage wasn’t where we wanted it to be. Our old system couldn’t grow with the complexity of our family. So, we spent the last three years creating a playbook to win against this more challenging opponent. And now we’re sharing the same system that radically changed our marriage for the better so we can have a successful second half.

Day designer has been a fave of mine, too!
The shoe stand at target is 14.99
How would you create a drop Zone?
Great question! I believe there are three foundational elements to create an effective drop zone: 1. Command hooks or decor hooks for bags and jackets 2. A dish large enough to corral your keys and small personal items 3. A basket or shelf for shoes Here is a link to these items (amazon affiliate - commissioinable link): www.amazon.com/shop/organizenashville?listId=3VEF0O0W2ZQHX&ref=idea_share_inf You can also learn more about drop zones here: www.organize-nashville.com/blog/drop-zone-mgmt
Where is the kitchen towel ❤
Great question! They are in a drawer to the right of the sink
Thank you for this. I will be making this a nightly routine for the next day.
Love that
Very informative!
Glad it was helpful!
These prices are ridiculous. I have never paid this much except for my personal day planner that I restock annually. Lordy
Well there ya go!
What caption?
Oops! Looks like I missed putting there. Updated now. Thanks for the call out!
Happy planner vertical was my easiest to use. (classic or Big) currently have a large Kate Space smallest planner in 3+ years horizontal check box and I’m not sure it’s for me.
I was surprised I like the vertical too!
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Onmy counter… 1.my knife block..I use them multiple times throughout the day and I have no drawer space 2. A Little Red Riding Hood Cookie Jar, it was my grandmother’s and it’s beautiful like she was. My baking hero 3. My canisters, flour, sugar, tea and one for misc… a must for me 4. My Kitchen Aid, I use it a lot because it’s on my counter and she’s pretty. 5. A small basket for catch all, mail, keys, phones, etc… 6. My Keurig..use multiple times a day since wfh. My kitchen is small, cozy and USED.
Love this!! 🖤🖤🖤
What rug is thi?
Its the dupe of the lumini rug by west elm. Link here (Commissionable): bit.ly/3X7pYFW
The editing keeps trailing off before sentences finish
Looks like I have more learning to do!
As a dad, i confirm this 🎉
It’s a real thing ❤❤
Butter in fridge
Yes 😊
Hi! I just downloaded the pdf but when I go to print only a single blank page prints. Am I able to print this? Pls help 🥹
Oh no! I’m so sorry
Where are the knives? Counter butter btw
Drawer 🖤
I have as little as possible on my counters but must haves are the toaster, coffee maker , paper towels and veggie basket. These are used everyday. Some all day (other than coffee maker. My butter is in a cabinet above the toaster 😊 The sink has a kitchen cleaner (in a clear glass container) and a scrub daddy.
I keep my coffee pot, toaster, tea saucer and spoon, and dish soap and drainer on the counters. My microwave is on top of the oven and my cutting boards are hung. But I also have a piece of pottery in each corner and a small picture to hide a plug. That's it, and life is pleasantly simple. There are always three food prep spots available to use for actual cooking.
Thanks for sharing!!
What’s happened to this RUclips channel and the host since last year?
Thanks for checking in! I had to take a step back and reorient. I'm starting to share shorts, and have a subscription group over on Instagram to help busy moms reduce their mental load in 5 easy steps. Would love to meet you over there!
What rug is this
This is a dupe of the west elm lumini rug! I love it. Here is a linke (commissionable): bit.ly/3X7pYFW
Yes! Or better yet toss it out. Donate. Give away or trash . Churches love toddler toys.& books.
Thank you!
I keep a vase of flowers and a covered white cast iron baker with some daily tea making things inside on one side and on the other side a kitchen scale for weighing sourdough starter twice a day and a tray with two expresso cups and a coffee press. The regular coffee maker stays as hidden as possible next to the fridge because my husband doesn't want to be getting into cabinets to make coffee. No appliance garage. My Kitchen Aide is on a roll cart in another room and I bring it to the kitchen when I need it. Having very little on my counters is a new thing since we put in new countertops and backsplash. Small house, open plan.
I'm all for less on the counters! Clutter is such a magnet for more clutter.
I'd personally stick with the container store for the quality and just buy the bare minimum after I plan my space but price per use/longevity is my big factor. It's a bummer when you spend a decent chunk of change on stuff that keeps breaking. Also only buying things I can truly wash and dust because some of those natural type baskets fall apart. Then you gotta worry about animals and kids in the shavings and whatnot plus funky dust in the weaving. However, the wood bins and boxes can be painted and redone if they're not really cheaply made. I do think the container store one has a smoother grain and thickness. My two cents.
I agree. Reliability is so important.
If you don’t support the container store, they will go out of business and then Amazon will raise their prices.
Possibly. Supply and demand would dictate otherwise.
Or they will be competitive.
Hate targets politics. I stopped going there years ago.
Its been divisive for many!
Both are expensive
Containers are expensive and if decluttering isn't done first then we are just wasting money on organizing products for junk. I think if you decultter, then organize, then buy when you need - its worth the investment.
Definitely an investment. Thanks for watching!
Nice list...❤
Thank you!
Just disagree completely about the hangers. For a while container store had the Joy hangers which were excellent and I did just buy those at target but now those have been discontinued and they’re carrying their own flocked brand which are very good. I’d actually like to trade all my Joy hangers for those hangers but I’m not taking on that expense. All other flocked hangers I’ve ever purchased have been absolute garbage.
Thanks for sharing your experience
butter in fridge
that was me for years!
I feel that the container store is way to high, but, I have bought containers from there to store things in at my storage unit with Public storage.
thanks for watching! yes, they are definitely more expensive than amazon and target
I like target brands too
me too!
I love this Video, but I was wondering what the Name of the Store is so I can go to clean my room.👍👍
thanks for watching!
All plastics
Thanks for watching!
I would like to see your video but that background music is annoying to me. I just could not listen to the music 🙁
Thanks for letting me know and for watching! feedback helps me grow and learn 💓
Your videos are fantastic!!! Thank you and I can’t wait to see more.
Thank you so much!
Team container store!!! I love target, but the quality of the container store is unmatched. Also, if you are an employee of the container store you get a 40% discount!!! Say what?!?
Totally agree!
I love how she says 5.99 is almost 6 it is most definitely 6 after tax which as far as I know everything in that store is taxed. I love these videos because the Container Store is really far from my house so I can find out from these vids if I should order something online.
Thanks so much for watching!! 💓💓
I’d like to use 1 also 😂
Good tip!
Glad it was helpful!
We need a Walmart version with the home edit and I know I saw some bins that were at the container store at Walmart with frosted plastic vertical bins of doffing widths
That’s a great idea! Thank you for watchinf
This was SO informative, thank you!
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching ❤️❤️❤️
Think the wedge-shaped “inserts” (intended for the deep turntable) would be interesting to try on a shallower-sided turntable.
I totally agree! I’ve used a larger version of those wedges in my huge lazy Susan and it works really well. Thanks for watching!
I love the 3 division pantry container. You are really spoiled for choice when it comes to organizing supplies.
It’s so true! I love that one too.
This is so helpful!! And gives me even MORE ideas!!
Glad it was helpful!
I love these comparing videos you do :); It is interesting to see.
I'm so glad! Thank you for watching.
Very interesting. Buy bulk and save... but you don't always need or want bulk. Of course you can also use it to your advantage as the size differences might suit your project.
Very true! Thanks for watching ❤️
You can find the open bins at IKEA much cheaper.
I’ve heard that too! Great suggestion
I loved this video, thank you for doing my homework! Side note... As an Interior Designer of 22 years, I don't know where the word "functionality" came from. I was always taught "form and function". It's just so interesting to keep hearing "functionality". Do you prefer it? I look forward to more of your videos! Happy New Year! 🎉
Thanks for sharing!
func·tion·al·i·ty noun; the quality of being suited to serve a purpose well; practicality. "I like the feel and functionality of this bakeware"
@@MrsBurns-xy7np Thanks Mrs Burns!
I can tell you what is even better! Not buying plastic containers because of some influencer or some shop makes them look great. You will only throw them out in a year because of another influencer shows you the newest container. Vote with your wallet! Blue Sign approved or bio products. This not meant to be a tirade on the lady from Nashville. It is a tirade on plastic and the whole sorry state of people trying to get sponsors for their videos because the RUclips algorithms have gotten tougher and they pay less, until you have over 100s of thousands of views on their channel. News on plastic. It takes 100s of millions of year to even land in your cart. First dinosaurs died, then the carbon in their bodies decayed to this black slick like substance called crude oil. This crude oil after these 100s of millions of year is drilled for, brought up, destroying the ecosystems around it by leaks, earthquakes and fissures. Once up, they load it onto trucks, rail cars, or into pipelines. Leaking pipelines, trucks that crash and cause fires, and well also leak. Same with rail cars. The product is then shipped to a port, it is then shipped around the world. Once reaching the destination country it is refined and one of the by products of the refinements is your gasoline for your cars or the other way around, it uses what would have been waste to make your plastic. These refineries operate on the the taller the smokestack the less environmental damage and let the fall out land elsewhere. Then it formed into nylon, faux leather (PU leather, which stands for plastic urethane) and your acrylic see through containers. You get bored because of the next influencer be it your purse or plastic container shows you the next “hottest” thing on RUclips or Instagram, now even TicToc. , Then you think well since I am vegan or an animal lover, “environmentally and/or animal friendly conscience” you toss it out because it gets scratched up, flakes, etc, and start looking for that next hottest thing to replace it. Or that expensive Faux Leather or PU leather purse, wallet, planner starts to flake. Or your cheap acrylic knockoff cracks and breaks and flakes. Those flakes are cleaned up by you, and just so easily enters your water supply through either rain in a landfill, or your purse flaking as you walk down the street. Once in the water supply it is then sent to a water treatment facility not made to capture micro plastics, because that is what those flakes turn into. The water “once cleared/treated” flows out to streams and out into the oceans. Where phytoplanktons (really tiny organisms that tiny fish eat (sardines, herring, etc), which in turn get eaten by bigger fish, then even bigger fish. This is what is called bio accumulation of micro plastics by it being eaten by yet a even bigger fish, that is then caught and put on your dinner table. You eat it, and it then because your liver cannot clean this toxin, it bioaccumulates in your body, and if you are lucky to be a women, you pass it on in your breast milk and unborn child! But wait! What’s that you’re a vegan?!?!? Well guess what treated water is used to irrigate the crops you love to eat, so you are not even off the hook there. Even vegans have micro plastics in their blood streams now. I just wish influencers would ask their viewers to vote with their wallet for better made products or products that do not poison us so readily. Baskets, recycled metal bins, etc. There are other things than plastics
Interesting and intense. Thanks for watching
