A local had one back in the 90s. No techs would work on it because of the board. Idr what happened to it as the owner passed in 1996 .

I really don't know if would depreciate the value having upper and lower channels that's is very real to having that kind of system so I think people would want to pay more for it knowing it has one and it's been running ever since it's been built this one's been used everyday never had a problem works great very happy with I would never get rid of it it was my mother's and father's don't know where you're from but my mother was called Aquarius my father was a roofer my grandmother was Rusty all out of Worcester that's why I said I don't know where you're from

I have the exact same model you have except for the guy who built this one added upper and lower and to ended up to stop mick just went bad this year

I bought the same one back in 1990- 1991 and still using it..... it comes with 10 watts AM 21 SSB.... you can look up the manual online.... when I test mine it's a little more watts than what it say's ...I wonder why yours is not putting out what it did from the factory? ...anyway GREAT RADIO if you sold it I bet your kicking yourself

I drive mine with 41/2 watts rms and have for years. I deadkey 110 watts swing to 150. Yes I have mosfet final. I've talked skip to California and I'm in Milwaukee. Thus us in a mobile with a K40 Plus trucker antenna. Without skip I get about 28 miles mobile to a basestation. 21 miles mobile to mobile. My radio has been tuned correctly and SWR IS 1.15. GREAT VIDEO.

I have one Somewhere around here, met my wife on it over 40 years ago.....A BEAUTIFUL radio with a Extra Large colorful meter!.......I have a Bearcat 23B I got used in 1974 (I think) got it cheap from the owners widow....He got killed installing a base antenna for it, a "Big Stick" antenna he stuck up into a high Voltage power line ...his boy said he watched his dad roll off the top of his house...very sad

Love mine...needs a little work but works just as good as the day I bought it and had it tuned in 1997...had it matched to a wilson 5000 and held a swr of 0.8 ...14 over 40 watts and 120% modulation with connex and echo added!!

G.E. made some nice looking radios to me. I like that meter and face light on this model, really timeless look. Curious how well the "mic power amplifier" works.

I have this radio and its missing the top plate lol you are right the didn't glue it on very well

The A model is better just because if you get a cold solder joint in the b it has 2 boards and would be a nightmare to fix and work on so I'm glad I have the A

I'm trying to find info on this radio. Which of the test points are which? Alignment instructs found online reference these, but the actual test points on the PCB just say "TP" without a number. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I like the single final kl 200 much better than the kl 203, the 203 is too easy to blow the mosfets even with a 1 watt input.

I'm curious? I was on another one of these and the man had his comment turned off. <quote he said that the radio was an rci with a cobra face . alos he put a four pin mike. min has a five pin mike . i have it hooked up but the antenna bad. got a new one to put up.

I have this exact same model radio, it has receive but when I try to transmit, all the other end hears is a low buzz. Would you have any idea what to check?

I have the amplifier 203P and use it with mc kenley president uses new and amplifier that gives surprise my recommendation is that if you have an antenna used to hold whatts since the first antenna I melted the plastic
